  • Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia one of my favorite cities in the world. Today, I will Discuss why my American friend ‪@benfishermin‬ and I as an American, love Malaysia and why Malaysia is top travel destination in the world.
Malaysia is a Southeast Asian country occupying parts of the Malay Peninsula and the island of Borneo. It's known for its beaches, rainforests and mix of Malay, Chinese, Indian and European cultural influences. The capital, Kuala Lumpur, is home to colonial buildings, busy shopping districts such as Bukit Bintang and skyscrapers such as the iconic, 451m-tall Petronas Twin Towers.
Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia. Its modern skyline is dominated by the 451m-tall Petronas Twin Towers, a pair of glass-and-steel-clad skyscrapers with Islamic motifs. The towers also offer a public skybridge and observation deck. The city is also home to British colonial-era landmarks such as the Kuala Lumpur Railway Station and the Sultan Abdul Samad Building

Thanks for introducing Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to viewers especially the new one.. Btw, I have subscribed to both of you.. The air quality in Malaysia is still good but sometimes it is influenced or rather affected by haze coming from Indonesian burning forest. But no worries about Malaysia's fresh water quality, it is on top 3 cleanest sanitized water in the SEA (that is behind SG and Brunei).
KL is a city of contrast and obviously it's still developing but gradually KL will be an ideal city for all with a sophisticated, decent and one of the cleanest city in the world..👍🇲🇾

I must agree with both of you that Malaysia is the most diverse country in Asia. With Malays, Chinese, Indians, and several other minorities, our community is already varied even without outsiders. Sometimes it's impossible to tell if someone is Malaysian or not, especially if they've been here for a long time. This is because they can blend in so well, especially if they're from Asia, and they may end up looking a lot like Malaysians. It makes me think of my late Seattle-based American friend. He was sent to teach at the American International School in Kuala Lumpur. He had lived here for a long time and had many local friends. He became so proficient in Malay language and developed a local accent that it was hard to distinguish him from the rest of us just by listening to him talk. Naturally, his appearance as a white American was the only thing that set him apart from us. He married a Malaysian in the hopes of staying longer because he loved Malaysia so much. He had two children before he died. Perhaps you might talk to expatriates, a person like Andrew Taylor, who often posts his videos about his experiences on his RUclips channel, who have lived in Malaysia long enough to be well informed about this country. Persons like him might give you their candid and perceptive opinions about Malaysia rather than relying solely on first impressions, as many tourists do.

Life is also very expensive in the Netherlands it’s comparable to New York. But what’s the same as Malaysia is the Netherlands is also Cultural diverse. We don’t have like the US White suburbs or Black or Asian only it’s all mixed. My neighbors are Chinese, Dutch, Korean, Moroccan, Afghan, Indonesian, Surinamese, Thai, Iranian, Colombian. That’s the same as Malaysia. And mixed raises (like me) is also very common. For Dutch people Malaysia don’t feel very different as the Netherlands. Maybe because it occupied Indonesia for over 500 years. And halal food is also very easy to find here. But I love Malaysia. As a Muslim myself I want to live in a Muslim country 😊 I travel twice a year to KL. I miss it every day.

I looked at him shirtless basking in the heat of the Sun. And i replied.."bcos i don't want the heat to suck up all the moisture in my body..else i would end up having wrinkled, freckled, leather skin like yours". The Summer in the US is literally an Oven. The closest description is like being in a dry Sauna. In Malaysia..when it's hot, it's like being in a Steam Room.

15:19 Pleasantly surprised that both of you have this insight on Malaysia. Yes, Malaysia is host to a large number of migrant workers from Indonesia, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Myanmar... to name a few countries. In 2019 when he was the Prime Minister, Tun Mahathir said there were more than 7 million foreign/migrant workers in Malaysia. That's a very high number equivalent to 22 percent of the country's population and 42 percent of the country's workforce. They are usually engaged in so called 3D (Dirty Dangerous Difficult) jobs that locals tend to shy away.

Kuala Lumpur or Malaysia is second to Singapore in terms of development in South East Asia. Infact, Singapore is a part of Malaysia for 3 years after independence from the British.

KL is built upon older buildings hence you can see the contrast of the newer ones as well as the runned down ones in the same vicinity. Unlike in Dubai for example the downtown area was built from a clean sheet. For example the KLCC area, sadly there were several beautiful old mansions that were demolished.
Also in Dubai for example (as well as Singapore), they built special housings away from the city centres (labour camps, dorms in Singapore) for their blue collar foreign workers. Hence you don't see them so much.

we would rather be underrated, undiscovered and live quietly, peacefully. Its nice that foreigners appreciate us but we have this concept of "barokah" or blessed. it means despite something is less or moderate we will feel "more", feel happier, feel abundant, and happiness becomes affordable. That only happens when u live as a good person, good to your family and neighbors and Allah is please with u. Malaysia has always helped its neighbors , look at the number of immigrants working happily here.. Be respectful, dont be arrogant and u will be welcome.

17:09 local Malaysian kids prefer to work part time in 7-11/family mart/CU/speedmart etc, fast food chains & malay/chinese/thai/family-owned restaurants & businesses. not all are foreigners. but once they finish uni/high school, they'll move on to better paying jobs. my KKmart hires locals from around the area, and we're only 10 minutes from KLCC. mamaks usually hires a lot of foreigners no matter where the location are.

The people of Malaysia is Nice right , i dont hate foreigners , we are not racist, we respect others . I am a muslim , i still cant think of living in the western countries . I want to live in a country where people care for neighbors . If neighbors are hungry , we feed them . But in the west , they feel we are terrorists , many of my friends and relatively got a used with words when they travelled in the US years ago . We were taught to be Nice to all , but the western people were taught other wise . Of course not everyone but …… you know what i mean .
