Good reviews about my beloved country, Malaysia! Thanks a lot for recognizing Kuala Lumpur as a great city i.e great infrastructures, safe city, good people and good food etc...
Thank you for your sincere comment about Kuala Lumpur. I am a Malaysian and live in Kuala Lumpur. I often travel to Manila, Bangkok, and Jakarta. The cost of living in Kuala Lumpur is cheaper than in other major cities in Southeast Asia, and the quality of life in Kuala Lumpur is far better.
Let me add why they said KL is boring. Well, we limit and strictly regulate alcohol in public. We don't allow gambling except for certain premises with licenses. We don't have legal prostitution. There is no party with alcohol in public. And Malaysian culture doesn't party at home. The neighbors will call the police... hehe... You won't see people drunk on the street or in public. And for drugs - very very strict. Don't play around with drugs in Malaysia. You will regret if get caught. With a certain amount of drugs with you, you might get hung to death. Be careful in Malaysia. We don't tolerate drugs. And dressing code in Malaysia. You have to wear modesty. You cannot expose your body too much and no bikini at the beach except at the private beach premises belonging to the 5-star hotel. Public beach - NOOOOO... You cannot kiss in public even if you are husband and wife. Kiss at home. Hehehe... We are Islamic State but we are not that too strict. Anyway, we are still not too tolerant. We are the moderate Islamic State. Syariah Law only applies to Muslims only. We don't allow free sex and we do not allow couples to live together for Muslims. Must get married first. So, you will see our lifestyle is very different from Bangkok where you can see women almost everywhere, especially at night. Our nightlife is very low. Not much to enjoy. Malaysia is good for family life or those who are retired. You will find calm and pleasant over here. Relax. But our infrastructure and technology are as good as Western big cities. We have everything that had in the Western big cities. No problem.

Guys listen to this European calling for a general alcohol ban. Haha if a local says that, esp Malay, he’ll get cancelled faster than Osama on a camel. But I agree 75% on that statement. The other 25%, is me after 11pm. 😅
Why should europeans come to Malaysia and make laws? We Malaysians must run our own countries with our own rules and not listen to these immigrants escaping their failing countries
After we have an alcohol ban this mat salleh has the freedom to fuck off back to Europe while we are stuck here so j wouldn't take him seriously abt that
If you find yourself in places without walkways; it means you are not supposed to walk there (probably far from shops, parks, houses, public transport stops; so take note).
Tourist can still drink alcohol, of course it's expensive. The rule is not to get drunk and make scene or you'll end up in jail. Drugs is a big NO. The penalty is harsh, you might get jailed for a long time.
15-20 years ago, yes we malaysian did concern about crime rate that moment. when economy doing bad, somehow crime rate that moment spike up. atm, no more such issue
15-20 years ago snatch theft with motorcycle was quite rampant in KL. The victims are usually women walking, honestly I've not heard men got robbed that way. The big knife can be an exaggeration, Malaysians loves to exaggerate 😁. There are still snatch theft today, but I would say a lot less than before. For an adult male visitor, I would say any parts of Malaysia would be 98% safe.... there are no hoodie gangs waiting to jump to you here. For ladies it's still relatively safe, but not the same level of safety you get in Japan or Spore.... just be mindful.
@@dalilahjafar3423 it's not a lie, I grew up in Brickfields in the 90s & 2000s and you don't know how the situation was with gangs, robberies, prostitutions and drunkards in that area. there were many snatch theft cases around KL reported before. just because it didn't happen to you doesn't mean it's not there. I went to school near Jalan Ampang area back in early 2000s and the teachers constantly reminded us to be careful for snatch thief & drug addicts when walking to the school. that KL main triangle area was quite dangerous back then. there were pickpocket cases in Pudu station, Jalan TAR, Petaling Street & also on public transports. people have been mugged. you were lucky to have not experience those stuff. but don't invalidate the truth & what others experience by saying it's a lie. if you really worked in KL you would've known or heard these cases. things has gotten so much better now tho.
my bros hangout at mamak then two thief ride one motor snatch one of bro laptop, sentul. one time my bro stop at side of road to answer phone call also got snatch from his hand just like that, jalan kuching. there is cases and some dont report to police because the things is not too expensive, moreover probability to get it back is very low. me personally had knife on my neck as cashier of computer cafe get robbed by 7 person, we do go police report but probably because we operate illegally by running 24 hour so no media know this, damansara. there is cases but just because you didnt experience it dont say others are liar.
4:10 Correction. There is 1 country, that is Brunei. Non-Muslims can still buy from outside and bring in a limited amount, but you cannot buy any from inside the country since no one sells it. And they can only drink in their homes and not in public. And smoking is also banned. You cannot buy cigarette in Brunei. You can only smoke at your home.

True
After we have an alcohol ban this mat salleh has the freedom to fuck off back to Europe while we are stuck here so j wouldn't take him seriously abt that
haha! Is it that rare to see a Europeans against Alcohol?
@@waytooready cigarettes are also expensive.😢
If you find yourself in places without walkways; it means you are not supposed to walk there (probably far from shops, parks, houses, public transport stops; so take note).
But I want to walk from Ampang to KL.. >_

for Tourist
Tourist can still drink alcohol, of course it's expensive. The rule is not to get drunk and make scene or you'll end up in jail. Drugs is a big NO. The penalty is harsh, you might get jailed for a long time.
I would prefer they could not drink alcohol! And not only tourists! DD
15-20 years ago, yes we malaysian did concern about crime rate that moment. when economy doing bad, somehow crime rate that moment spike up. atm, no more such issue
With the climate, amazingly you are not sweating profusely.
Whites don’t sweat profusely compared to Asians due to differences in skin pores?
I was sweaty as hell mate!
seems the opposite to me...
Thank you. You are very kind.
I can't believe i continue to watch you till the end. Lots of interesting infor.
Awesome! Thank you! Are you Malaysian?
Terima kasih ❤
thankyou, hope you come back again and again to visit other states in Malaysia.
It's a liar. I have been working in kl for more than 25 years and I never experienced that kind of situation. Really propa
Toksah bohong
The knives are no exaggeration. Towards the end of that "era" it became pretty violent.
my bros hangout at mamak then two thief ride one motor snatch one of bro laptop, sentul. one time my bro stop at side of road to answer phone call also got snatch from his hand just like that, jalan kuching. there is cases and some dont report to police because the things is not too expensive, moreover probability to get it back is very low. me personally had knife on my neck as cashier of computer cafe get robbed by 7 person, we do go police report but probably because we operate illegally by running 24 hour so no media know this, damansara. there is cases but just because you didnt experience it dont say others are liar.
Well can try the coffee shop which has no air conditioner in it. Usually there are few stalls in it you can have a try on the noodles soup or dry. Or some chicken rice, char Siew and roasted pork rice too. Many types of noodles, got spicy and non spicy 😊
Great tip! What's your favorite restaurant in KL?
@waytooready3898 I recommend this Hai Kah Lang seafood noodle and fish head noodle, it's super delicious 👍😊
Thanks mate for nice review.as malaysian i really love to hear that.Mostly my malay friend and family in kl they love to eat Nasi + Tomyam ( thai cook style)
Malaysia is a truly international country...where the world should learn to live harmoniaslly...
But its not fair. Westerners constantly bad-mouth Islam, yet we hand more than hundred thousands of immigrant passes to westerners to live here. Their own countries are failing and they come here and drive the housing prices up. I think we should send them back to where they belong
🎉🎉🎉
Thanks brother!

The petronas twin towers may have lost its number one spot as the tallest building but it is still numero uno as the tallest twin towers in the world! The 2nd tallest building is called merdeka 118. Malaysia is also known for its medical tourism. The standard of its healthcare is world-class.
Right on the money Aziza! Petronas tower is truly stunning, even more at night!
The Petronas Towers were not built to be the tallest building, but to be the tallest TWIN TOWERS. Dr.M was spot on for this project. No body is building twin towers anymore, so I don't see The Petronas Towers losing the title yet.
@@zam023 If the petronas towers were built to be the TALLEST TWIN TOWERS, why not go one step further and also make it to be the tallest building too? That is the "genius" of Dr M, sambil menyelam minum air. As I stated, It was the tallest building in the world (from1998-2004). But as "twin" towers it is the tallest in the world today.

Most probably because malaysia has only two things beginning with the letter "S", Sun & Sea. The other "S" is either missing or not blatantly obvious hehe! Cuba teka 🤔

Do you also know that despite having a world class infrastructure, being the biggest slab of land in the middle of SEA and being multicultural diversified, people in the western still ask our people whether we still live on trees. yeah you are right about the snatchers in Malaysia. but the number was not that much. its a small number of illegal criminal foreigners, drug addicts and those young malaysian mobs. the police nowadays is effiecient and with public helps all of them were arrested and managed to reduce their numbers.
Actually most of the time we are quite reserved, but when it comes to festival/celebration, we will go all out! 😂

Snatch theft with long machete happens 15 years ago during the booming of Malaysia where we took in a lot of foreign workers (especially Indonesians). Nowadays, the crime is hardly heard of. It’s many years of bouts of crime prevention and sending back of illegal workers.
