- Don't miss this spot in Taman Negara!
If you are planning to go to Taman Negara, chances are that you will most likely stay in Kuala Tahan, Pahang. Unless you can afford the luxurious Mutiara Resort inside the park or you plan to do multiple day hikes.
We stayed at the best guesthouse in Taman Negara called Greenland Guesthouse/ Durian Chalet. The owner is a park nature guide who took us to Bukit Dedari in Kuala Tahan for the best hiking around Taman Negara that offers the best and most beautiful view of Taman Negara.
In this Malaysia travel vlog, we also discuss about the 2014 flood in Malaysia, especially in Taman Negara. We hope you enjoy this Taman Negara vlog and Taman Negara travel guide. Stay tuned for more Malaysia travel guide for more info on things to do in Malaysia and things to do in Pahang.

Agreed
We loved being there. And the owner is a guide! And his wife was the one who taught Ivana how to cook asam rom and sambal hitam!
Would like to see you watch this Vlog... BETWEEN THE BLUE..Kuala Lumpur adventure.. so sad
Honestly speaking.. There's no other place as pristine and beautiful as Taman Negara.. And to think that not many Malaysian has taken the opportunity to see first hand its beauty.. I love the sound of the Jungle with nature orchestra performing for me.. Music for the beast in me.. Thank you once again for uploading all your travel vbolgs.
I'm inspired. I love hiking n jungle live.
Honestly, Taman Negara is probably the most beautiful place we have been at in Malaysia.
Yes, there is. there's the borneo side taman negara ... Maliau Basin....
Anyway don't think theres gonna be rain forest music festival this year, usually done in sarawak. It's when the tribe musician gather with world musician, artist to pay tribute to the nature music
Adam FONG oh that sounds so cool! Would love to experience it.
Oh man love daging salai too! Just had some today in masak lemak 😋
Sounds yummy
Mas SabRan It was! Really spicy too
@@FoodandFootprints nyum2 i love spicy foods
Daging salai masak lemak, that's d best. Masak lemak tempoyak is also nice. Ikan keli salai, smoked catfish, masak lemak is also delicious.

Have an amazing time!!😁
Beautiful drone shots!! Keep safe and healthy.
Thank you.
2014 great flood bring memories especially for people like me who live near Sungai Pahang banks. The river level rises up to 15 meters.
Yes, it was horrible. So sorry...
Good quality vlog! From the lush green to stunning sky light, it’s really refreshing and beautiful. Also, glad that you really enjoyed eating different local dishes.
I think Taman Negara has changed a lot compared to what it was in the early 1980s. It was really dark at night and we could see a lot of fireflies. Occasionally we could spot the eyes of wild animals from the hideout. There were many more trees and the walking path was so narrow and we could see the river below the cliff. I remember the boatman caught a big fish literally by hand from his boat and later it was our dinner that night.
If you have the time, go to Tasik Cini. The boat ride could be interesting for you with the rain trees coming right into the river/ lake.
Wow must have been wilder adventure back then! Where do you stay then?
Those days we used to see/learn about Tasik Cini from our geography books! Would be Great to see you guys traveling there & sharing the real life adventure as well! 👍🏻💪🏻🦾
JetLag Warriors Indeed it was quite an adventure. There was no hotel or chalet in Taman Negara at that time. The only accommodation then was hostels run by the park authority. No hot shower and electricity was from a generator that didn’t work so well. So you can imagine the condition we had to put up with but we didn’t complain as we had so much fun exploring the park and going on long hikes in the day. At night, there was campfire and singalong, and storytelling, mostly ghost stories. Real scary too. Our group comprised of over 30 students from University Malaya. Oh, those were the days.
ah sound so fun!!!
Oh We will look it up. Thanks Joyce!
nice place. so cool. love nature
Another fantastic view from Steve’s drone. Really amazing view. Thnx.
great hiking spot. very nice view :)
It was spectacular!!
Guys, make Endau part of your travel plan.

Hi steve & ivana, thank you for show us nice footage of taman negara. Even myself does not know that this kind of place exist in malaysia. Taman negara is one of my wishlist now after seeing your few of your vlog. It’s so cool 🤩🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thanks for watching! We hope you get to visit TN soon. You will be amazed by its beauty!
Hi Steve. I shudder to think when you finally settle back in Canada, no Nasi daging/kerabu for breakfast?? Haha...easy peasy. Both of you learn to learn to cook all the dishes. The Japanese vlogger Ichang did just that when they went back home. To the extent her Mom in Law suggested that they open a restaurant. I can imagine 'Stevania exotic SEA cuisine restaurant Inc.'
Thank you for sharing the info regarding the guesthouse .. will look for it when I have the opportunity to visit Taman Negara .. love you guys .. take care ❤
Another great video! Love love love!
Thank you.
🌄 What a lovely day 🌄

So Steve mistook the sound of frog for a bird’s.I most definitely would too haha
Hope you guys get to go to East Malaysia. All the best.Be safe.
Actually the sound of the frog was more like a puppy barking!! It was amazing to find out a little thing could produce that loud of a noise.
Some mistook it for the sound of a buffalo !
Our old house in Jerantut will always get a visit by frogs.. Sometimes they even went into our school shoes 😩. Imagine your shoes become very tight & a cold & slimy thing your toes feel once you're trying to wear your shoes before going to school... Eww worst feeling ever
😂😂😂 @Huda
@@hudahalim18
Speaking of,last night there was a frog or was it a toad not sure, sitting on a door ledge about 4 meters off the floor.
Couldnt figure out how he got there so we let him be haha
yes2, straight to borneo before you end your journey here, worth to wrap it all!
We want to! Hope we can enter!!!
Surprising that you have good Internet right in the middle of a dense forest! Apologies, its football season. So many of us watch your vlogs late during this time.
We stayed in Kuala Tahan. Good internet when it works, but sometimes there is blackout. No electricity for a couple hours.
Oh, and what time is the football game? Is it on everyday?
@@JetLagWarriors Understood. Btw, the English season just started today. Matches start around 8pm all the way to midnight, but there are breaks in between. The Malaysian football league also started just recently. Games start around 8pm onwards. Football here is almost a ritual for most Malaysians. There is an advertisement that said, We Malaysians Eat, Sleep and Watch Football'. During the World Cup games once every four years, people come in late for work because of the games and most bosses close and eye to it, because they would be watching as well 😂
Hanya Kami Oooo ok. Enjoy the game!👍
6:30 That's a very scenic spot with 360° view of Taman Negara
We are still mesmerized by it😍😍😍
There's also another National Forest in the north (of Peninsula), the Belum Forest. Go check it out before end of this year.
Looks beautiful!
Your channel now become my favourite...Everyday I wait for the new vlog...keep it up Steve& Ivana...

Love the beats used in the background @6:13 onwards. Cool beats + awesome drone view. What it's called?
There's Mat Kilau Gallery in Pulau Tawar near Jerantut showing artifaks about famous Pahang's Independence warrior Mat Kilau. I'm not sure if it's open now. There's also Gua Kota Gelangi (a cave)
We went to Gua Kota Gelangi. Stay tuned for the video!

Yup... North-East Monsoon (Monsoon Timur-Laut) season starting soon so Malaysian know to expect a lot of rainfall which we can see is raining daily nowadays already.
Yes, it has been raining every night!
It's been a long time not watching your guys video. Now, I have time, only for to shock to see you with a Beard! You look awesome! Keep the beard. I want to see a Captain America's bearf at Malaysia. Do not shave!
Yay! Thanks for making time to watch our videos!😁 And thanks, haha the beard goes with the theme of being in the jungle👍
Those breakfast are so cheap..you really squeeze out the sauce from the plastic..haha..must enjoy the food 😅😋👍 would be a disaster if the eagle attack your drone😅
That was from our favourite breakfast place in TN. So good!!👍
If you guys are planning to go to Borneo, around December would be good. why? 1. Some of the fruit are available middle of the year or end of the year. For example , Dabai fruit or Kembayau in Sabah. 2. Christmas. If you guys are planning to go to a long house and experience the best , Christmas and Hari Gawai in Sarawak ( 1st of june) or Pesta Kaamatan in Sabah (end of may). This is the easiest time to experience the food and the culture.
Oh they celebrate Christmas there? At a long house? That would be a wonderful experience!
@@JetLagWarriors yes..
Then Go To KUANTAN... 😊😊😍😍
We are coming, Kuantan!!
