Hey guys, if you're into waterfalls and streams, there's aplenty in Hulu Langat - 20 mins outside KL. I call it my backyard since it's super close to my home. You may find pockets of Orang Asli villages if you drove towards Pangsun. And further front is the foot of Nuang Mountain - a natural boundary between 3 Malaysian states - Selangor, Pahang and Negeri Sembilan. Another place I'd recommend is a day trip to an eco-farm at Titi in Negeri Sembilan. To reach the farm, you can drive from Hulu Langat all the way up to Genting Peres, which is am uphill state border between Selangor and Negeri Sembilan. Though it's high on the hilsl, you'll be shocked to know that Titi and its neighbouring town Kuala Kelawang is hot and humid. But you'll love the scenic kampung view there. There's also a cultural museum in Kuala Kelawang for Steve to check out.

THE district of Jerantut in Pahang is famous for Taman Negara, but it is also home to another nature preserve known for its folklore and legends. Off Jalan Jerantut-Benta, about 20km from Jerantut town is Gua Kota Gelanggi, a limestone cave complex said to be hundreds of millions of years old. Legend has it that the site is the remains of an ancient kingdom known as Gelang Kiu, which in Thai means the “Treasure House of Jewels”. A local tale surrounding the complex is that of a war or curse that befell Gelang Kiu, which brought an end to the city. There are several versions to the story, ranging from the fantastical to logical but the theme is the same - two members of royalty who fought over a princess. One of it tells the story of Raja Gelanggi, who had his beautiful princess betrothed to Raja Usul. Raja Mambang wanted to marry the princess too and a war ensued. The mythical figure Sang Kelembai then appeared, chastising the two for fighting over a woman. A curse was cast and turned everything into stone, wiping the kingdom off the map. Just a short story copied from news article..more story? You should find local storyteller...😄
I really like the drone pic! Its beautiful from the top! This vdeo is interesting. I like the waterfall, clean and green .... I like it from start to end . Funny Steve and Happy Ivana ! Make each day a great adventure! And you sure do! Thanks to Amin's hospitality.
Maybe u can try to go to Sabah n Sarawak (Borneo Island). Sarawak, Go deep in the jungle to long house, limestone pinnacles of Mount Api, kampung Budaya in Kuching. Then in Sabah, should go to Sipaadan or Mabul Island in Semporna and Sandakan to see orang utan. In Kinabatangan, if luck on your side you can see pigmy elephant. Let me be candid, I am selfish. For me, I want you two to go to East Malaysia next, not to Turkey. At least not yet. Just like in Peninsula Malaysia, you succeeded in finding all these hidden gems, off the beaten track which I found eye opening and exhilarating. I am certain you will find even more such places in East Malaysia, simply because there are many beautiful places that are not yet explored. If Covid 19 is the concern, I am certain you would have already done your homework. Daily cases in Turkey still exceed 1000 vs 50-200 here. So, that’s my opinion. In any case, thanks for your great vlogs! You are true adventurers.
My last trip to Gua Kota Gelanggi was in year 2000, 20 years ago. The white snake looks like Cave Racer, non poisonous. Feed on bats. But never been to Lata Meraung yet
@@JetLagWarriors If only the 4 main caves in Taman Negara are opened, then you'll have different experience as you will have to sleep inside one of the cave. The journey to the caves alone take 2 hours by boat and 4-5 hours trek.
