It would have been nice if they just released a separate oily skin version and kept the original. Although I guess there's already a surplus of thick lotions and moisturizers for dry skin. Oily skin types have a harder time finding something protective enough without being too greasy or thick.

Unfortunately they have ruined this product for me. They have added corn starch which now gives the product a matte finish and an obvious white cast, and it is very drying. I'm sure those with oily skin will love it, but dry skin folk will hate it

They removed the Copper also, which I think is a huge mistake. It’s useful for cell regeneration & wound healing. My skin hates lactobacillus so I’ll be breaking up with this product, sadly.

I recently purchased COSRX - Balancium Comfort Ceramide Cream from Yesstyle which has actually already replaced the Cicaplast for me, and it's less expensive per oz.
i loved the old one!! im now currently using the new reformulation. it spreads easier in a way.. it feels drier(?) but the shine is still there… the old one was really inoffensive and just felt healing even with broken skin or under retinoids which im currently on but the new one kind of sting a little 😭 not the whole face just really small areas im not sure if its just my skin on retinoid or the new formula. i also noticed it calmed my redness more than the old formula so idk what to feel about this new b5+ 😵💫
Wait, they’re adding something to make it more mattifying? It was already kinda mattifying to me. But maybe that’s just me. (But it doesn’t really matter to me). I’m glad they’re adding Centella, though! It also never gave my skin a white cast, and I have more of a “beige”/medium skin tone 🤷🏻♂️. But I also always really worked it in lol
They should have just created a new product altogether if even the texture was going to be different! I use this as a sleeping mask but now with the inclusion of corn starch, I'd prefer if it didn't mattify me :\
I use this morning and night around my eyes and mouth. I love it! It helps dryness and irritation from tretenoin. I hope the new formula still helps me or helps me even more!
Sounds like it should be an upgrade- some additional antioxidants and soothing ingredients, hopefully it will work well for as many people as the original did, fingers crossed!
I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking Paula's choice ingredient-lists are massive! I suspect it's one of the reasons I can't get the majority of products to work because they all pill! Moisturizers! Sunscreens! Serums! I have found three products that works of everything I've tried.
U should try lord Jones CBD balm for winter and Trent ret days , I fell in love with a GWP it happens to be on sale it's super expensive 75$ but they have mini for 25 but today only it's 54$ for 1.7 and 17.50 for the .5 or like 33.50 for a once if u buy 2 mini , I still haven't bought it but heavily thinking of it and the GWP of the new CT concealer which is a good size for a GWP and I got the EL ANR serum 2 times ..lol but also thinking of getting the lawless baby glam eyeshadow with the SF jet lag GWP haven't not tried it still also thinking of the lawless baby mini pallet it's 15$ sale . I want them but do I need eye shadow no not really since I am a skin care junkie and that is my thing now and I already bought the ND mini biba and the TF killer eyeliners in green 2 days ago so I really don't need it but wants are different like want the SF tint and the new TF concealer and a few others but rather have skincare. Did u see the M&M toner essence want it really bad hoping no frangerance it's pretty too.. and looks just like the Dr c kombucha bottle but black top .

I have never found this to be overly moisturising on my extremely dry skin, but I use it as a mask - thick layer applied to irritated skin and left to absorb. I have to wonder about the addition of more mattifying ingredients in this product though, for those with very dry skin. Centella and glucosides are moisturising, but corn starch is really drying on my skin - anyone remember the corn silk powder lol? It's going to be a case of wait and see as to whether it still works for me or not. The baby Lipikar AP+M is more moisturising and the Avene cicalfate is a better option for dry skin as a skin protectant tbh. Best wishes.
@@bhumimandera2515 I have dry skin, and personally I wouldn't bother, the old formula was perfect, my skin reacted to the new formula and I'm still using prescription cream even though it's been over 4 months, could have just been my skin reacting but never again, also baby formula is no longer the same it's also been renewed, totally stopped using this brand all together, I can't believe how the old formula worked like magic and they then took a rubbish version ( for my skin anyway) when it was perfect as it was, oh well I now use a mixture of products to help my skin, if you want any suggestions let me know and I'll give you a list of what worked for me

I found the original formula thick, goopy and difficult to rub in yet not moisturizing at all! Kind of like a thick diaper rash zinc paste. Even though it does good things for irritation I will still pass on the new formula.
It’s not moisturizing because it’s not a hydrator. It’s an occlusive barrier to protect the skin and calm inflammation. You’d have to put a hydrator underneath and lock it in with this to wake up with soft and supple skin.
@@cv7958 I hear so many people say how moisturizing it is yet my experience was so different. I did use it along side my regular hydrating and moisturizing products (not as a replacement) but I couldn't get over the thick paste texture. I prefer the Etude House Soonjung Cica Balm

The product leaves a white cast anyway because of the zinc.

I loved the old formula, the new b5+ is making me feel soo itchy, gutted that they stopped the b5 balm, b5+ is just not working for me unfortunately

If you rub it between your palms and then pat it into the face, it helps a bit
