The cicaplast saved my skin after too much chemical exfoliation caused irritation. I stopped everything for 1 month and just did face wash, cicaplast, and sunscreen in the AM and it is amazing. I still use daily!
I just want to say I was on .1% tretinoin for a year and used that la roche posay balm as a moisturizer underneath the tretinoin at night. It worked very well and cleared all my acne. Tbh I think the balm helped to lessen the intensity of the tretinoin's peeling

After my tretinoin has absorbed fully, I apply it to the corners of my eyes, around my nostrils, and where I would usually get my shaving rash, and it’s the bomb! In fact, since I started using it a year or so ago, I’ve not had even one occasion of shaving rash! 🤯. How awesome is that??
I always apply a light moisturizer right after showering with the damp face, then right before bed I apply the tretinoin. Somedays, I feel some dryness after the tretinoin, so I go on and apply the Cicaplast Baume or another balm-like moisturizer to relieve the dryness, and that's been working really fine!
I started to use Cicaplast after I destroyed my skin barrier with too much serums, it fixed it in just couple of days. Since that time I use it as moisturiser and I LOVE it. Love the feel of it, consistency, everything. My skin is naturally dry and it can get very dry thru some months as I work outside and this product is a life saver 💙💙💙

I agree, I think it looks fine on her as well, but including the neck would be good. People who wear Foundation get that but I only wore a little bit for special occasions in the past and was reminded to need to put some on your neck and on your ears as well cuz the shade never really matched that greatly.

Agree! It’s the best product I have ever tried for rosacea. When I see the flare is coming, I apply it and next morning the redness is so much better. . Also, I started to use La roche Posay toleriane for moisturize at night. The first 2 weeks wasn’t good and I feel itchiness, but after a month, combining ciclapast and toleriabe at night, I don’t need to use ciclapast at all. For mornings, I apply HA moisturizing from the ordinary and solara SPF . All the skins are different, but after some years dealing with the redness I am very happy because I found the skincare that my face can tolerate 😀

I can't wait to try my CeraVe tinted that I purchase a upon dr. Dray's recommendation but I forgot we were in a pandemic when I purchased it way back and that it wouldn't really matter because I'm wearing a mask. I want to see if it looks like Foundation on my face. It doesn't expire until July of 2022 so hopefully I'll be able to have a day out unmasked by then! I could have a meal outdoors with friends but by the time I take the mask off I'm sure all of the tinted stuff will be inside of it instead of on the bottom 2/3 of my face which is what that mask covers , it's nearly up in my eyes which is why I'm not putting on eyeliner either on the lower eyelids.

Recently, I messed up my skin barrier and have been using the Avène Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream in my nightly skin regimen. It’s basically another version of the la roche posay product, and I’m liking it.
Same!! I love it. I find it much thicker than the LRP. I think it’s better but it’s costly. Unless I have a big problem again I will use the LRP. No it doesn’t sting. I also use the Avene water spray constantly .
Aveeno Restorative Skin Therapy Oat Repairing Cream is similar to LRP Cicaplast and much less expensive. I use it as a last step before bedtime, a half hour or so after applying tretinoin. I also love to use it on my hands in the morning before a nice lotion-y moisturizer/sunscreen. I think it will make a great body moisturizer in the winter.
Bioderma atoderm intensive baume and the LRP cicaplast b5 are my go to moisturizers for sensitive, irriated face. I put those on after my tretinoin 0.025 gel.
I would love to see a video on the use Cold Cream to remove makeup and as a moisturizer. It’s been on the market for years and many grandmothers swear by it.
I bought the cicaplast b5 balm bc it’s winter here and I was having INSANE flakey dry skin and i used it TWO times and my skin is softer than a baby’s bum. ITS A GODSEND. I even got one for my husband for his dry hands. My only complaint is that I could only get it in a 1.35 OZ tube. And it works well under my sunscreen (Isntree hyaluronic acid watery sun gel)

I over exfoliated and irritated my skin so much now, I’m on a break just cicaplast at night and sunscreen and moisturizer during day time. My skin definitely calmed down alot after this routine.
I'm a big fan of the Cicaplast around my eyes when I'm using tretinoin, makes the retinoid less irritating if it ends up migrating to my undereyes (I sometimes also use Vaseline for this). Also it's a great eye cream on the lids.
Eye Doctors are now talking about the bad effects of using retinol or tret around the eye area. It affects the film that keeps the eyes moist and so the end results is it dries up your eyes.
Cicaplast was my 2020 skin saviour -- baume b5 to prevent/soothe mask irritation, mains to save my soap- and sanitizer- deluged hands, and levres is now my go-to lip balm. I almost don't watch videos reviewing these products because I'm scared someone will tell me not to use them for some valid reason! 😂

I have to comment on the Accutane hair loss: most accutane hair loss is Telogen Effluvium. However, sometimes the hair does not grow back because it triggers pattern hair loss, alopecia areata, and/or scarring alopecias. I think its necessary to say that. Sometimes it triggers permanent hair loss.
I used to have cystic acne and my dermatologist recommended using Accutane for 6 months. I didn’t lose any hair (thank goodness) and when my treatment was done I never got another breakout. The worst was my lips and the only help there was Vasolene.

I started tretinoin about a month ago, nightly with the sandwich method. I use my regular CeraVe PM, 0.025% tret, then top with Cicaplast in the areas that are most sensitive to peeling. It's helped quite a bit.

The last video she wore that sunscreen it looked really bad while she was applying it in the video but later on when she was in the car in natural lighting it seemed to match her pretty well so I assume its just the lighting that makes it look bad on her in the bathroom
I took Accutane two separate courses in 1996 and 1997. I lost so much hair. It was insane. My roommates at the time would pull out their hair and say theirs would fall out too to make me feel better but mine was clumps. Some didn’t grow back. I remember crying trying to make a decisions what was worse: scarring or permanent hair loss.

We have to admit that women didn't have much need for cosmetics or the Beauty Salon during the pandemic. I have not worn lipstick in well over a year and if I'm going out with my mask or going to work as I am now oh, there is just mascara on the upper eyelashes and maybe a little brow pencil. We have to keep our masks on in my environment. And, I had that Maybelline colossal mascara brand new that I purchased to try again because of you so I don't really need to buy anything for a while cosmetic wise. Sun screens run out faster than anything!

Neostrata defend spf 50 tinted is great for pale olive skin. So is cityblock spf 40 by clinique. I always double up on them. No need for foundation. Boom 🌋

Man, that is dark. I'm very fair. IT CC cream in the color Fair is not orange or yellow at all. They do something right with the sunscreen and color in those. It's actually pretty good match for neutral. I don't think Ulta will go out of business as their online sales are most likely pretty good. Those cards are so pretty!! I use the Australian Cancer Council tinted sunscreens (love them) and I also find they 'change colour' a little after 30 minutes or so, so I agree that might be the case with yours too
I use Cerave zinc spf 50 as a first layer after the moisturizer. It has a terrible bluish tint so I let it set for a few and then I put on my darker liquid makeup which balances things out. Not a new concept but it works cause as Dr Dray says the tinted sunscreens are limited. I've been trying to fade sun spots on the sides of my face so the bluish zinc sunscreen is a MUST.
Love the Cerave spf. I have been using the Cerave tinted face, which is too dark for my pale skin, mixed with a drop or 2 of the untinted Cerave 50 to lighten it up. Works like a charm and I can skip foundation because I feel it gives enough coverage.
Hi dr Dray, the LRP Cicaplast is actually not meant for use around the immediate eye area (unfortunately). I love using it as an all over the face moisturizer, but if I put it close to my lids my eyes get totally irritated. Then I checked the LRP website and it mentioned there that it is not appropriate for use around the immediate eye area

In France we find Avene 50spf. The cream is white, but when applied to the skin it adapts to your skin tone! Its fabulous!

If you put your tinted sunscreen on your neck, it’ll be less of a dark contrasting mask.

Sandwich technique is moisturizer to buffer, then tret, and finally another layer of moisturizer to seal everything in.
The tint looks fine to me but I may be a lil biased 😁. My only suggestion is to apply just a tad to your neck for balance. Love your channel!

i always notice that with tinted sunscreens they don’t really “match” my skin shade but as the day goes on it seems to blend in better

I had major hair loss on Accutane. Soo much. That was 23 years ago. It was soooo much hair. You are amazing.

Cicaplast was my 2020 skin saviour -- baume b5 to prevent/soothe mask irritation, mains to save my soap- and sanitizer- deluged hands, and levres is now my go-to lip balm. I almost don't watch videos reviewing these products because I'm scared someone will tell me not to use them for some valid reason! 😂

Can you use lrp cica b5 on top of retinol?
@@Gilbert.H lrp cica is barrier cream kinda like it will “seal” your retinol if used on top but retinol is the weakest retinoid.

I have to comment on the Accutane hair loss: most accutane hair loss is Telogen Effluvium. However, sometimes the hair does not grow back because it triggers pattern hair loss, alopecia areata, and/or scarring alopecias. I think its necessary to say that. Sometimes it triggers permanent hair loss.

I used to have cystic acne and my dermatologist recommended using Accutane for 6 months. I didn’t lose any hair (thank goodness) and when my treatment was done I never got another breakout. The worst was my lips and the only help there was Vasolene.

I started tretinoin about a month ago, nightly with the sandwich method. I use my regular CeraVe PM, 0.025% tret, then top with Cicaplast in the areas that are most sensitive to peeling. It's helped quite a bit.

The last video she wore that sunscreen it looked really bad while she was applying it in the video but later on when she was in the car in natural lighting it seemed to match her pretty well so I assume its just the lighting that makes it look bad on her in the bathroom
I took Accutane two separate courses in 1996 and 1997. I lost so much hair. It was insane. My roommates at the time would pull out their hair and say theirs would fall out too to make me feel better but mine was clumps. Some didn’t grow back. I remember crying trying to make a decisions what was worse: scarring or permanent hair loss.
I’m going through the same thing currently, 8 months post accutane … how much of your hair grew back do you think?

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday! Yes I agree Dr.Dre that Ulta beauty may be saying bye bye soon. We have to admit that women didn't have much need for cosmetics or the Beauty Salon during the pandemic. I have not worn lipstick in well over a year and if I'm going out with my mask or going to work as I am now oh, there is just mascara on the upper eyelashes and maybe a little brow pencil. We have to keep our masks on in my environment. And, I had that Maybelline colossal mascara brand new that I purchased to try again because of you so I don't really need to buy anything for a while cosmetic wise. Sun screens run out faster than anything!
I hope not. I spent more on makeup this year than I did any other time in my life. Watched tons of YT tutorials and had time to play with updating my look. I know Sephora made a bundle off of me alone. ☺️

This video is great. I was putting LRP Cicaplast Baume UNDER tretinoin (a lot of people do this and swear by it) and didn't understand why my retin-a wasn't working as well. Too occlusive. Makes sense.

That cicabaume would work for me in the winter. North Carolina in the mountains gets cold here. I have just moved here but I would watch the temps from Florida during the winter in NC. 🥶

Neostrata defend spf 50 tinted is great for pale olive skin. So is cityblock spf 40 by clinique. I always double up on them. No need for foundation. Boom 🌋

Man, that is dark. I'm very fair. IT CC cream in the color Fair is not orange or yellow at all. They do something right with the sunscreen and color in those. It's actually pretty good match for neutral. I don't think Ulta will go out of business as their online sales are most likely pretty good. Those cards are so pretty!! I use the Australian Cancer Council tinted sunscreens (love them) and I also find they 'change colour' a little after 30 minutes or so, so I agree that might be the case with yours too
I use Cerave zinc spf 50 as a first layer after the moisturizer. It has a terrible bluish tint so I let it set for a few and then I put on my darker liquid makeup which balances things out. Not a new concept but it works cause as Dr Dray says the tinted sunscreens are limited. I've been trying to fade sun spots on the sides of my face so the bluish zinc sunscreen is a MUST.
Love the Cerave spf. I have been using the Cerave tinted face, which is too dark for my pale skin, mixed with a drop or 2 of the untinted Cerave 50 to lighten it up. Works like a charm and I can skip foundation because I feel it gives enough coverage.

Hi dr Dray, the LRP Cicaplast is actually not meant for use around the immediate eye area (unfortunately). I love using it as an all over the face moisturizer, but if I put it close to my lids my eyes get totally irritated. Then I checked the LRP website and it mentioned there that it is not appropriate for use around the immediate eye area
If the tinted sunscreen is too dark, I mixed it with a regular sunscreen to lighten it up.
