Great tip about the LaRoche Rosay Cicaplast Gel, Dr. Dray. I bought it and agree it works well around the eyes!
Me too 😊 loving it
Different formulation of same product in Canada. Glycerin listed as ingredient #2 and nothing says 21% at all.
Am using the LRP websites in both countries as sources.
I'd be interested in relative comparative performance of each product. Both products state keep away from eyes.
It slightly burned the skin around my eyes.
And cheap! I get for 10 euro.
For me it’s great to use as a mask and moisturizer all over after microneedling too!
Dr dray just remember we are here for you too! We love you and support you to the end! ❤️ thank you for being you!
This Cicaplast gel is such a gem, I’ve been using it for a long time, and I love it! I love it even more, than a balm.
The Cicaplast Gel is really amazing around the eyes!🌸🌷
I went nuts with actives last month and ended up destroying my skin barrier. Stripped back my routine to just Aveeno Calm + Restore cleanser and La Roche Posay Toleriane Dermallergo for the last week or so and am finally seeing my skin come back to baseline. 🎉 The Dermallergo is definitely my new go-to moisturizer when my skin is mad at me.
Same with me. The aveeno line really saved my skin! That and the cicaplast balm from La Roche!
I've heard bad things about Aveeno ingredients.
@@angelh3771from the EWG?
I have long hair down to my mid back that I balayage/cut twice a year, and the Bondi Boost Rapid Repair Hair Mask has been a game changer for me! I started using this (along with a clarifying shampoo) once a week since last summer, and my hair is the healthiest it's ever been being this long. My hair dresser even asked what my haircare routine was!
Excited to try the LaRoche Posay gel. Thanks for the tip, Dr. Dray! I didn't care for the L'Oreal Everpure - while I do think it made my hair look nice, the texture made it difficult to get just a small amount out of the jar, it was nearly impossible to rinse out of my hair, and worst of all, it left an extremely slick, slippery residue on the the bottom of my tub.
What's your hair type
😳😬 yikes! Good to know thank you!
I hate messing with tubs in the shower. Good to know your thoughts because she’d almost talked me into trying it anyway.
Lubriderm Advanced Therapy is my most favorite so far since years for me and kids.
I have tried multiple in past and this is the best one for dry skin. ❤
Have an awesome Friday guys xox
Happy Friday!
I purchased the Lubriderm Advanced Therapy lotion based on your recommendation. It's the best body lotion I've tried in a long time, including my longtime favorite, Nivea Cream. My extremely dry skin is noticeably improved in just a couple of weeks. Goodbye to dry, itchy, flakey skin on my legs and the keratosis pilaris on my upper arms is gone. Thanks for the review!
That new Lubriderm line is AMAZING! LOVE the body wash 💗💗💗
I’m curious which under eye concealer you are using & if you like it
I would check her ltk (like to know it) page. She lists the products used in her makeup routine.
yay! finally the b5 gel! i've been using it around my eyes too! and on my forehead to reduce fine lines
I have been using the Everpure hair mask after it became more difficult to find my favorite Kerastase product (also L'Oreal) and I definitely love it, but not more than Kerastase. I have shoulder-length hair that is frizzy and it really helps control the frizz. The only issue I have is if you accidentally use too much it can be a bit of a pain to get it all off so it may leave a build up if used excessively.
I had a colorist who went to a L'Oreal "school" in EU once where they are taught how to properly use their products and shown their different lines. He and another colorist I had really swear by their shampoo and conditioners, but especially for color treated hair.
You lured me in on that Cicaplast gel. I love it! I usually feel LRP is overpriced but I’m really enjoying this all over my face. I only need a small amount for full coverage.
Thank you Dr Dray for all of your videos, you have changed my skin care for the better! Love all you do to educate us and keep us up to date on products.
I LOVE the Euserin night facial cream. Omg!! It’s wicked hydrating!!! Especially if you use vitamin c serum and tretinoin or retinol. It definitely helps your skin when it’s peeling from using these products. It goes on light and it’s not greasy. I wake up and my skin feels so soft and hydrated. I noticed a little difference after a few weeks that my crows feet aren’t as noticeable. I don’t think it’s making them go away, but the hydration is plumping them up so they’re less noticeable. My dermatologist gave me a tiny sample tube to try, glad she did bc this is my new favorite face cream!
I've tried the Essence Volume Booster Lash primer. The Lash primer does make the mascara application much smoother and does help thicken the lashes also. Take care everyone... Spring is coming soon 🌹🌺🏵
I’ve been using Eucerin advanced hydration spf 50 as my daily sunscreen. It is water resistant, and hydrating enough for me to use while taking accutane.
Lubriderm's Intense Skin Repair Lotion is excellent, too. I bought it at my supermarket because it was on sale but really ended up loving it. It's pretty affordable in general.
I tried the hair mask and like it. I did worry that it wasn’t rinsing out well and that I used too much, but it didn’t weigh down my hair and left it feeling very soft and less frizzy. I have medium long thick wavy hair with a lot of grays.
As an alternative to the Cicaplast balm I’ve been using Eucerin eczema relief cream. It works wonders for the dry flaky areas on my face.
Great video! Lubriderm is definitely Amazing! As I commented on a previous video, I use the lotion cream moisturizer. I moisturize as soon as I get out of the shower and my skin is amazing. Of course, I only use the cream ii. The winter. Also, I purchased the gel you use around your eyes. I received it in the mail and I am looking forward to using it. Thank you for all your hard work and efforts.
On the subject of oats in skincare - Purito expanded their Oat-In line a few months ago to include a toner and thicker moisturizer. The moisturizer has been really nice to use, even on my oily skin.
I love all your videos, please keep them coming!! I've been really going through a journey with my skin as I have atopic dermatitis and am a candidate for dupilumab. I honesty hate the injection as it is super painful, but all of your tips are so informative, it's led me to a skin reset where I soak and only have used petroleum jelly for a few weeks and now my skin is able to tolerate cerave healing ointment again. Another huge tip from you was the ice packs!! I was losing sleep because of itchiness/heat and just having cooling from the ice allows me to get a hold on this skin disorder. As my barrier gets better I hope to be a simple cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen gal like you. Thank you so much Dr. Dray :)
Happy Friday, Dr. Dray ❤
you too
Good morning Dr Dray ❤
Thank you for letting us know about the Cicaplast gel being good around the eye area. I actually came on today to see if I could find a recommendation for a moitureizer I can put on my dry eyelids. I can't wait to try it!
Happy Friday Dr Dray so excited to be here I live for this ❤️
Happy Friday!

So interesting you mentioned about using a body moisturizer on the face cause I’ve been wondering that lately. I’ve seen mixed options on that, so good to know your opinion too!
Hi Dr. Dray! Would love your thoughts on the new Inkey List Bio-Active Ceramide Repairing & Plumping Moisturizer. 😊
The one dermatologist I've seen review this is the Budget Dermatologist.
I've been having great success using Thayers Milky Hydrating Toner under tretinoin to cut down on dryness and irritation.
I got that and have only used it once. Was yours "foamy"?
I just pour toner in my palm and apply it with my hands instead of using a cotton pad.
Maybe I didn't rinse my cleanser off enough?
Mine isn't foamy. I use the CeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser and then apply the toner with my hands. Hope this helps! @@angiepattillo3599
THANK YOU for reviewing the La Roche Posay product. I got contact dermatitis around my eyes & have been trying to heal it for like a month now. This product came to my attention & I was wondering if it would be safe for my eyes, and you just so happened to use it there too.
The Cicaplast gel is excellent.
I don’t know a single French person who doesn’t have La Roche Posay in their bathroom cabinet 😂 it’s like our croissants. Part of us .
Just ordered the Loreal mask & LP eye cream ❤
You have totally influenced me on the cicaplast gel for under the eyes - purchasing this today!
I love that Dr. Dray wears a little makeup now. It’s flattering and looks more put together
I've been using the Lubriderm bodywash you mentioned in your walmart video (it's from the same line as the lotion you mentioned here) and it's so great, thank you so much!
Just bought the L’Oreal hair mask and am anxious to try it out. Those mascaras sound pretty cool too!
I just started using the lp geI. I like it a lot too for both an eye cream and facial moisturizer! Great recommendation!
it works so well!
I can't believe it's March already! Appreciate your reviews and recommendations, as always. I'm going to look for the hair mask. Happy Friday, Dr Dray! I hope you, your sweet momma and little Tybee have a fantastic weekend. 💜
I love the balm also but I bought the gel to use on my eyes like you have been doing. Love it also! My eyes feel so nice in the morning.
I've been laying the Cicplast gel under an occlusive on my lips. So, first I put some cicaplast over the lips, then Torriden Solid In Ceramide Lip Essence over that a few minutes later. The Torriden product is basically petrolatum, shea butter, and jojoba with ceramides in it. My lips are not cracking--and I've had Sjogren's for 20+ years, so winter lip cracking is a major issue for me.
Dr Dray- do you use the Cicaplast gel at morning and night or just at night? I started using it yesterday and love it. Thx for the recommendation.
I love this type of videos where you highlight just a handful of products that you love. I am tempted to try Loreal Hairmask. Will finsh current one from Fable and Mane and try loreal.
Excellent. Thank You so much. Your reviews have really helped me ramp up my skin care routine. Can You review Timeless serums please?
You have to try Dove’s 10 in 1 Bond Strength Serum Mask. It’s amazing!
Where do you find this?
Dr Dray did you like the mascara products well enough to purchase them again?? Thank you 🩷
I am in love with the whole cicaplast line, and my boyfriend can use it too, he has flaky, irritated and super dry skin and this line is so safe to use for him too. I wonder if I can convince him to use the gel underneath the balm for more hydration.
I just bought the LRP Cicaplast Gel B5!! I haven' t tried it yet. I'm so excited that you find it amazing as an eye cream because I too, don't use eye cream. My only worry is that although I'd like to use it on my lids, I'm worried it'll get into my eyes because I am a perpetual eye-rubber. Lol. I have so many allergies, so I frequently feel the need to rub my eyes. Having said that, I'm equally worried (can you say Worry Wart?) that I will have super wrinkling eye lids because I don't put anything on them. Please advise! Many thanks. I really appreciate your videos!
Hi Dr. Dray, how do you use the cicaplast B5 gel with Tretinoin? Do you apply the gel first and allow it ti dry, then apply the tretinoin?
Dr. Dray, have you tried the Heimish Dailism Smudge Stop Mascara (the curling one)? I really like it! And it was recently on sale on StyleKorean for only $5. It’s a tubing mascara, so it washes off easily. I think it’s even better than the Thrive Causemetics mascara, and that costs so much more.
LRP states on the box, not to use the Cicaplast B5 Gel around the eyes tho.
Hi Dr. Dray, I wanted to share a skin care product that I am loving. Loreal Paris Revitallift pressed night cream with retinol and niacinamide. It has REALLY helped the appearance of my neck and chest. I’m 56 and had lots of unprotected sun exposure as a kid.
I use this too and really enjoy!
Dr. Andrea! Thank you ❤
Thanks for the awesome video ❤
Thanks for watching
Happy weekend Dr Dray…see you tomorrow x💙🤩
i have been looking for a good eye cream thats cheap for a long time . i will try la roche posay .
Yes that hair mask!!!! SO good
Thank you, I’ll have to try these products, they sound promising! Have a great weekend!❤️
thanks for watching
@@DrDrayzday You’re very welcome!🥰
Happy Friday 🩷
I was thinking it’s a good idea for you to live on your channel and answer our skincare questions!! 😊
I have eyelid eczema and recently had to stop using my tacrolimus ointment due to a different medical condition. Shockingly, this zinc oxide paste is really helping my eyelids. It is kind of like a diaper cream. "Medline Remedy Essentials Protect Zinc Oxide Paste Skin Protectant" is the full name of it. Oddly soothing. And way better than the Cicaplast Balm on my skin. Dr. Dray should review it! Very cheap stuff too!
Is the LPR with glycerine a bit of a milia risk? Yay? Nay?
Man the pump issue is really getting on my nerves because just as you said Doctor Andrea when we have a body moisturizer (mine is for face also 😊) we need big product outcome because we have larger areas to cover and quicker release and not waiting like forever for the pump to charge again 😅. Today i couldn't wait i simply cut the pump and scooped the rest of the product which was 100 ml (my moisturizer is Froika ultracare balm fragrance free 750 ml ) by the way a pretty substantial quantity and why to throw it away in the first place. I can't wait to give the cicaplast gel b5 a go and especially as an eye cream. Why don't we give it a test ourselves shall we hmm (😊❤) ?. Oats rock love skincare products that have oat derived ingredients. Doctor if you want check out Froika skincare products. It's a greek dermo skincare brand and has fragrance free products too, if you want to check it out and see if you are interested. Have a wonderful day Doctor Andrea and Happy month Happy March ❤.
Surely a retinol or retinal formulation would be more effective than the Cicaplast around the eyes for anti aging? this one confuses me a bit but happy to give it a try
i am not using it for anti-aging, it is just a moisturizer that works well for dry eyelids
It may not be true anti-aging care, but hydration goes a long way to disguise aging skin by plumping it up and reducing the appearance of wrinkles. I believe it can also be somewhat preventative, as the plumped skin stops existing wrinkles from re-enforcing themselves, and the lubrication prevents friction/irritation.
@@DrDrayzday thanks for the reply love the content
@@simonsaysismI agree. Good moisturization goes a long way.
Cicaplast Gel B5 gives me tears for hours when I apply it as an eye cream. Should I apply less, further from the eye or is it just not the cream for my eyes? Thank you Dr. Dray
Hey Dr Drey! What's your opinion about Shiseido products?
Do you use the cicaplast gel on your eye before your skincare face routine or after?
I'm having such a hard time this winter with my skin. My face is dry all year round, especially winter but this year it has been a bigger issue than normal. (I live in PA) my regular moisturizers (First Aide Cream, Stratia moisturizer) haven't been enough hydration. But my problem is I also deal with what I believe are closed comedones on my forehead. I recently tried the la Roche Posay Lipikar moisturizer, and while it helped with the dryness, my forehead broke out in tons of the colorless bumps I get, but never as much as this. Also pimples around my face that I don't typically get. I'm looking for a new moisturizer that helps extremely dry skin, but wont clog my pores. If anyone has ANY recommendations, please let me know! -A girl who's skin is driving her insane this winter
Happy Friday!
My La Roche Posay Cicaplast Gel (European version I guess) states not to use around the eye area. Any idea why? BTW I love your videos and I have learned a lot from you over the years. Thanks.
I'd like to get an answer on this as well... also from europe
Lubriderm has been used in our family since the 1970’s. My sister had severe eczema as a child and her doctor recommended Lubriderm. I’m 72, and still use it. I am upset; however, that they don’t have the formulation with sunscreen anymore.:(
I agree on that Loreal hair mask! And it’s going to last forever.
It’s interesting that the cicaplast gel works well as an eye cream when the bottle says to avoid eye area. Maybe because they just didn’t test it there?
I’ve got to try the lash trio!
Are you mostly using the citablast gel at night time or are you using it daytime as well??
A book I loved that you may also like. "Hour of the Witch" by Chris Bohjalian. Set in 17th Century Massachusetts. A woman accused of being a witch and what she went through and a look at the society as a whole.. Great historical Fiction. It's excellent. Alot of factual events.
I'm not sure if you've ever made a video about this, but I'm wondering if you have a recommendation for a body soap strong enough to get rid of deodorant residue without needing to scrub my armpits so hard my skin feels painful. Thank you for this video and have a happy march❤
You could probably try an oil cleanser or cleansing balm on dry skin before getting in the shower. Then wash like normal
@@LanguidAndBittersweet thank you for your reply, I'll look into it! : )
@@Rebecca_Dolan thank you for your reply, I'll definitely try it out! : )
You can also try a deodorant with a lower % of aluminum, I mistakenly bought Degree Advanced Care instead of Degree Ultraclear and wondered why it was so hard to scrub off, turns out it has double the amount of aluminum. Wouldn't recommend aluminum-free though because that's the antiperspirant ingredient.
Dr. Dray has recommended using Panoxyl cleanser with benzoyl peroxide on the underarms to reduce odor as it kills the bacteria on the skin. I use it this way and it works. It may work for removing deodorant too?
Always fun to watch and keep up on the best of the best.
I just bought the la Roche posay gel on your recommendation but when I woke up this morning my eyes were quite irritated. I washed the eye area with warm water to try and soothe them. I am disappointed as these creams are not cheap. It may be ok for other areas of the face and body but not the eye area. When I read the instructions it actually stated not to use near the eyes 😢
Can you please recommend SOLID ONLY skin care items (SPF/Wash/Moisture) that is perfect for TSA Travel guidelines? I have a few vacations coming up and only want to travel with a carry on. 🙏🙏🙏Thank You!!
I love lubriderm!!
Can you use the LP Cicaplast on EYELIDS? This área is usually neglected when talking about skincare routines. Thank you from Argentina
At 6:22 she puts it on her eyelids. At 6:32 she says "eyelids." I hope that helps!
The regular LRP balm is probably too heavy. In other videos she's also advised using a rice sized amount of plain old petrolatum.
PLEASE do a video on NON-WATER RESISTANT Mineral Sunscreen (either with or without tint). CANNOT wear any water-resistant sunscreen. NO chemical in it either. Many of your reviews have either the water-resistance stuff in them or the chemical stuff in them. I am having a hard time finding sunscreen without either. I'd greatly appreciate your help.
You are my buddy every night. Thanks, for sharing your shopping adventures, too. I enjoy going with you! 😊
Can I use the LaRoche Rosaly ci aplats gel as a face moisturizer?
Loreal hair mask is better than Elizavecca? Please tell us!
Thoughts on Vaseline's radiant x line?
Does colloidal oat as an ingredient in lotions cause any allergic reaction or cause eczema flare ups? I’ve tried a product with colloidal oats in it because I heard that it’s good for sensitive skin and eczema, but it did not make my skin happy. I’m just trying to figure out if it’s colloidal oats or maybe something else.
Could you do an update on effective solutions for nummunar (sp?) eczema? I am 73, got it about a year ago,it is spreading and have tried so many creams to little or no relief.
, Ceravi, Avene ExraCalm AD, Eucerin Aquafer and put these creams on 3-5 times a day. Many pills to stop the itching give me headaches other than Loratidina, which helps but not a lot. I cannot seem to get it under control. have seen two dermatologists in nearby cities who just prescribe the creams. recently one prescribed an AG cream that was supposed to burn a bit and has salicylic acid. I have not tried that yet. All these creams are expensive and I have not been able to stop the slow spreading on my legs in particular. Can you offer any ideas to help? it is scary when it expands, usually in the same areas on the left and right sides of my body. Thank you.
I use cold pressed organic castor oil in a glass pump bottle. It has changed my life. And it doesn't contain any wierd chemicals.
using oil on your face is not great, because it isn't stable. and just like water, even castor oil contains chemicals.
Lubriderm moisturizer REALLY does take time to absorb into to skin in my experience it’s really Streaky and the camera doesn’t really pick it up that well but I just wanted to put that out there for people like myself who don’t wanna sit there rubbing moisturizer on there skin until it decides to evaporate
Could you please review Nutrafol acne? ❤
Dr Dray ,may be you can help me I have vitiligo , I’m usually brown color, now my melanin fade off from my neck down ( from that area I’m white now). But my face my forehead, checks and nose still brown. Can you tell me what can I do to at least lighten up the remaining brown color in my face. What can I do do . Thanks
The LRP cicaplast gel is not new. I've had it for a long time, I use it when nothing works. I have oily skin and this is great when your skin is not having it with any product.
I've been using Lubriderm as a body lotion since forever. It's rich, creamy, and has only a very slight fragrance. I put mine on damp skin after my shower and it's absorbed by the time I've dried off and finished my skin care routine. However, I would never use it on my face. It's too thick and creamy, but that's just me. It might work for others. I just know it's a great brand and very inexpensive. I get mine at Walmart.

I have been using Tret for a year but lately any lotion or cream I put on my face makes it burn. Even baby cerave. I have purchased 20 moisturizer in the past 2 weeks and nothing seems to work. Is Tret messing with my skin barrier?
I'm having a similar problem. For reference, I have been using tretinoin 0.05% cream for 8 years; and I am 54 and have been postmenopausal for 5 years, so I understand it's likely related. However, it is both frustrating and challenging no matter the circumstances surrounding the issue. I have tried Vanicream, DML Forte Cream, Aveeno Calm and Restore Oat Gel Moisturizer, Laroche-Posay Cicaplast Balm, Avene's Cicalfate Cream, Cereve Healing Ointment, and Vaseline. A product will work, and then it won't, so I keep rotating. Additionally, an itchy, inflammed scalp and sensitive lips have joined the party. Hoping anyone out there might share some advice or tips that might help me. I do have a dermatologist that I've seen since my 20s, and my next appointment will be in June (skin cancer history), but I am hoping for some feedback in the interim. 🙏 ❤
Dr Dray, I’ll give Lubriderm a pass, you’ve got me hooked on Gold Bond Retinol!
