  • I took this video right after dusk in St. Louis, MO, USA, during the aurora that was visible as far south as Alabama!
Nature is truly beautiful... and it's crazy to think there is so much energy being absorbed by our atmosphere. I'm glad we have it to protect us :)

It was absolutely jawdropping to see these last night over Bavaria, Germany. The entire sky was covered in hues of red, purple and green, even looking south.

Being in the city, and near the southern end of the visible aurora, the colors were a bit muted here, but it was still jaw-dropping!

Amazingly, the Northern Lights were visible as far as the Galapagos Islands, which straddle the equator! Truly amazing!

Thanks for the post! The sun was still up here (Vancouver Island, Canada) when I saw your video and it served as a good reminder to go out after dark. It was incredible!

I watched them light up Ft Greely, Alaska in late August, 1974. I worked at the base's small TV station, so I climbed the TV tower to watch over 45 minutes of changing colors that lit the sky enough to see for miles. It was still happening, but it was too cold and windy to stay up there, any longer.

Oof! On the west coast? I hope it holds out for a while so you can see it. It's stunning, never thought I'd see it short of going north to Canada.

I got some great stuff in Maine. Lasted 45 minutes before the clouds came in.

Wow! We only had about 5 minutes where it was like this in the video, then it was a lot less pronounced, and mostly only visible on the camera.

😍 beautiful!! I have taken some pictures as well. I'm from Belgium.
Would you want to make a video how you made this video? Or about to make good photos?
    Thanks!
I am always happy when you have a new video!

Aurora Borealis!? At this time of year, at this time of day, in this part of the country, localized entirely within your city?!
