saw them support Quo 9/12/86 comeback In The Army Now Tour at Glasgow SECC - didn't know about them but loved the set and bought the Save Your Prayers LP. still love it, danny is an amazing singer
Toy With The Passion Won't Get Out Alive Singing To The Night Heroes Die Young Rock Steady How The West Was Won Paul Chapman Solo Walls Fall Down Round & Round (Chuck Berry Cover)
Considering the pedigree of Pete Way and Paul Chapman, the strong songs, and great vocals (fin and Danny Vaughn) I still cannot understand how Waysted wasn't a ton more popular. All their records are great - the Save Your Prayers album in 86 with Danny Vaughns vocals and slick production should have been huge considering the bands like Poison, Dokken, Crue, etc that featured similar music were huge AF. Pete Way in particular was a master showman and I am saddened that he is no longer with us. RIP Pete Way and Paul Chapman. Lots of great music lives on.
I saw them open for Iron Maiden in 1987. Before going to the concert, we were all like,”who the hell is WAYSTED?” That was the biggest surprise of an opening band. What a hidden gem of a band! We listened to Save Your Prayers all summer long! Thank you for posting this video
So strange. I went to see Quo in Belfast but I don't remember ANYTHING about Waysted supporting them! I mean: I have totally forgotten that I've seen Pete Way!
Still my most treasured record. Save your Prayers. Looked like a great gig, even if the crowd thought they were at a choir recital.

One of the greatest bands of all time
Quality...Including Pete's moves!
Saw them open up for Iron Maiden in 1987 somewhere in time tour. Unfortunately the Maiden crowd did not treat them well. I personally dug them.
