Dee Snyder called Pete the "Arthur" of Metal. Fact of Business, Pete Way and Phil Mogg of UFO were legendary hard partiers that could drink about anybody under the table...ask guys like Lemmy, Nikki Sixx and Ozzy about Pete. Bon Scott (RIP) was Pete's best drinking buddy if that tells you anything.... Steve Harris of Maiden idolized Pete Way and modeled much of his style after him....as did many other bassists.
late 70s, U.F.O. Wolverhampton civic hall, right at the front by the stage, sweating buckets,Pete passed me a drink in a polystyrene cup, WARM GINGER BEER. nearly vomited.
YOU GOTTA LOVE PETE WAY,HE WAS AND STILL IS MY FAVORITE UFO'ER.I HOPE HE GETS WELL.PETE WAY IS ALSO A GREAT WRITER(LOOK AT THE CREDITS ON THE UFO ALBUMS).GOOD LUCK PETE.
Interviewer : "Any question".....Pete & Fin "completely irrelevant answer". Can you imagine Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa...anyone current appearing in such a mess? Nope.....and that is the problem
The name of the band was carefully chosen to reflect the state they were in. I remember a gig in Brussels where they were too drunk to play ! Pete's always been a party animal and so were his mates. But keyboard player Neil Carter left UFO because of the band's excesses.
Watch Pete (the guy on the left) @ 0:55. Definitely had a couple of those slips. Didnt Maiden have sumthin to do with these guys?? I know they toured together. I think Steve might have produced there album, or sumthin like that.
Pete already had huge fame strangers live embedded him as god!!!!!waysted was his band away from Phil mogg.why didn't Gibson have Pete way bass firebird...signature model?why...
# members Paul Chapman, Paul Raymond and the Master Bass wish it takes from the name of the band, Pete WAY so the # is 3 from UFO. SO can I get a Price?.
A real pro. Great singer and person. I tried to help them trying to make a demo for the 2nd album. Actually I’m just a local musician from where first guitarist Ron is from. He actually met Pete Way selling him a bass. Anyway he brought a friend aboard to help out on the 1st tour. He was also on Cinderella first album playing guitar in 3 songs. His name was Barry. Sadly he didn’t believe Covid was real and …. Now he’s gone. RIP I met Fin as they came by my place to record some songs. Or at least that’s how it should’ve been. They arrived early morning- a good thing. Drinking from the night before. Not a good thing. I didn’t care. I’m not anyone’s mom. I just offered to record and play drums for a demo. I never really knew Lead guitar player Ron. I’d seen him play a couple times when I went out to local bars. Anyway he acted like a little brat. I wanted to kick some sense into him. He had no songs ready. Makin it up as we went along. He made fun of every artist on all my posters. I loved Priest. Maiden. And all great music. He said something about Thin Lizzy and Fin said wait a minute. They’re one of the greatest bands ever. Anyway I still have the 4 songs we did finally. I knew it was the end of that lineup. I didn’t think the first album was good songs and guitar. But Fin could sing. He stayed sober. The only one to thank me for my time. Anyway that’s how the first lineup ended. Chapman was a pro too. Ron was a decent local player. But writing your own music is a whole different story. He might’ve been able to do it if he took it a little more seriously from my point of view anyway, and Barry got to show pictures of himself with Ozzy Muttly Crue. Not a fan. And Barry showed those pictures to everybody who cared. I’m glad cause it seemed so important to him to someday be a rockstar. I never really got that cause to me to just make good music is all I ever wanted to do. RIP to Pete Way Ang Paul Chapman. Paul Raymond. Seems like this list is getting longer all the time. Anyway, God bless you all and keep on rocking.
R.I.P. PETE WAY ..... THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC
Me: "Are you on drugs, Pete?"
Pete: "Doctor recommended it."
Fin definitely should be the one answering any direct questions.Pete can just wander in and out of the conversation for comedy value.Simply brilliant

Спасибо за рассказ, Винс. Мне тоже очень жаль этих, ушедших из жизни Музыкантов ..
