Ok, so I’ve been getting a lot of comments saying that what I’m doing isn’t a coolant flush. They are indeed correct, hence is why I changed the title of this video. I am working on making a proper coolant flush video for the 2003 crv. Thanks for understanding!
Honda's 1990 and after started using the blue coolant. But if you're not completely sure, just call up your local Honda Dealership. They will tell you the type of coolant you will need. You could just buy from the dealership it shouldn't cost you more than $30 to get the full jug.
Actually, this is how most dealerships flush coolant. If you want to do it the correct and proper way, you’ll have to fill the coolant, run it, then drain it again until the fluid that is coming out is clean. That is a very time consuming and hassle. This way, you’re running the coolant through the system and burping it. If you regularly drain and fill the coolant and burp it you should be fine, if you haven’t for let’s say 200k miles then I would suggest doing a proper flush.
You can easily do it without the tool but you’ll need to open the breather valve. I don’t know where specifically, but it’s possible to do it without it. The tool makes it easier to burb the system. If you’re gonna complain about a $50 tool then maybe you shouldn’t be working on cars period lol.

How many gallon system is it? The 2006 crv
Glad i found this. I’m doing a coolant flush on my mk2 tomorrow. I’m using a genuine honda coolant 5l.
But you'll need 7.1 litres if youre gonna flush& empty the whole system!
Do you know the colour required for Honda Crv 1997? I am looking at the manual I found online and haven't managed to locate that info.
From my knowledge it’s blue. But I’m not too sure. Do it at your own risk lol.

It's the blue Honda juice!!
Hey I saw the 5 .30 written on the engine.. is it better to put 5w30 in these engines? Just curious thanks
No it’s actually 5w20. Idk why that is written on the engine, I think it’s because it burns so much oil that it needs 5.3 quarts.
I read that some manuals say you should switch to 5w30 after 100k mileage. I guess it depends on your region
I plan to do my thermostat are these cars hard to bleed ? Because I heard they are or it it normal?
IF you don't have the coolant kit like I do I believe it can be somewhat difficult. I would look into the helms manual on how to do it the honda way.
What if your AC don’t work ?
you’ll be fine it’s to put more load onto to engine to make it hotter.
@@preludeboy99 thanks
Thank you
You're welcome
Good vid, mate. But a tip - background music does not enhance the viewing experience. Indeed, its bloody annoying. Just so you know.
Noted. This was an old video I made. I’m gonna make a new updated video to this.
Thanks for the good information
Solid work. Thank you.
Initial D 🔥
The porn music is fitting
Isn't this just a drain and reflii, nothing to show how to flush system

"Super easy", but you will need a very specific $50 tool. Sure

@preludeboy99 I agree with everything, except the words "super easy".
You know what is super extra mega easy? Send it to the local mechanic 😄
“Asian vehicles” 🤣🤣
