Congrats on the new mill, Adam. The auto log turning feature would be a great productivity addition to your mill.
Build you a railed come-along above the saw mill to help with turning larger logs. !!!! 50 definitely the way to go !!
Nice! Log turner: You've got a roof, so an inexpensive electric winch with a cant hook is the cats meow!
Thanks for the time and video. There should be a red/yellow/black lettered sticker on your driver's side door jam with all your payload info for the vehicle. Every truck is different based on model and options. For example my F250 Lariat is just under 2847 lb payload
I liked your old mill, Adam, but I really like the new 50 model. Simplicity and functionality all in a U.S. made package.
Love the reviews Adam. Great job and nice mills!
I bet quite nice working during the darkness under those new lights. :)
Yeah. It was 85 all day so I wanted to wait until it started cooling down. Definitely makes it nice
Hey Adam I am going to guess you are going to be building some sort of a shelter house/gazebo down by your 2nd pond. In any case of whatever you are going to be making will be an enjoyable experience you share with us all.
Must have been a lot of stress in that log for that to now like that as it cut clear. Then again, I've seen a piece of firewood stuck on a 27 ton splitter. I couldn't even cut through it with a chainsaw, so it became fire pit wood.
You once told us that Beech is so that it’s difficult to mill. That 50 made short work of it. Nice addition.
Amazing how much tension is in that log.
I thought the same thing
Good morning Adam!!
Would be awesome making your own dimensional lumber. Really cool.
Two item's that are not normal on your mill. The blade is cutting away from the backstops, normally the blade pushes the log against the backstops. And second normally the log sets on the side of the mill where the sawdust exits. You notice you are getting more sawdust exiting the blade than going out the sawdust chute.
Surely putting the log on the ground or even old sawdust will possibly pick up something the damage the blade.
GOOOOOD MAAAWNIN EVERYONE!! from the NHRA races in Concord, NC today….
Next up is either a bigger piece of equipment or a gantry crane over the sawmill to move the really big logs 😂
That would have been handy a week ago!
Damn if I had extra $ right now
What is he gonna build with 9 12’ 4X4? A birdhouse, nah, a soapbox derby car, nah, a pond, nah, a bigger firewood stand, maybe, a treehouse for the youngling, perhaps. I’m done.
I am thinks the 4x4's are for a dock in the lower pond
A gazebo.
Gazebo by the pond
My guess: pavilion at the new pond.
Really enjoy your channel and content. I was wondering if you sell stickers from your channel - I didn't see any in your store but would like to add one to my shop. Stay safe.
A swing set for the picnic area by Pond 2.0?
Shelter for pond two..
Personal firewood shed?
How are your ponds doing?
pond beach house on the horizon, my guess
I’m just trying to figure out who’s going to pay delivery charge and a fuel charge on a two hour delivery one way is firewood that scarce up there?
ADAM, my guess would be you're going to duplicate "Duggie Dewrite's" log bucking table and on a bigger scale? (Cause you ARE six ft 5" !)
Seems like way too far to deliver fire wood!🇺🇸
No way that payload is more than 2k on the F150
There was a rarely added HD payload option up to the 22' model year. Very expensive for upgraded axle, springs, frame, etc. Unclear if max tow got these options along with tow hitch and brake controller.
It's a 5 lug. No way, that's going to carry 3,000 lbs.
FORD. Ford F-150 - 1,410 to 3,250 pounds. Ford F-250 - 2,462 to 4,323 lbs.
When equipped with the 5.0L V8 engine1 and Heavy-Duty Paayload Package, F-150 leads all competitors with 3,300-lb. max. payload. 2 A similarly equipped F-150 with the 3.5L EcoBoost® engine1 is next highest with 3,270 lbs.
@@mattmartines7895 that’s the range of payload, not the payload for a specific truck (crew cab, 4x4 = much lower payload)
What do you use 4x4 beech for?
Do none of these portable saw mills have a power feed option? It seems to me that you would get much more consistent cuts than you would by physically pushing the saw carriagby hand.
They do not but that does not bother me
Power feed may be faster but I prefer manual push. My lumber is always better looking than the guys with power feeds
I cut mainly pine and you have to slow down through the knots. Power feed doesn’t give you that kind of feed back
Rolling it around in the dirt is not good for your blades eventually that's gonna be mud and or snow!
??
You are crazy if you think that F150 has a cargo capacity of 3200 lbs. Maybe half that. If you had an F250, then yes. Please try again. Show us the sticker on the door. Great videos buddy.
Well I had 2,400 lbs in there and it wasn’t really squatting that bad.

I'm sorry, but there is no way that truck of yours has a 3200 pound payload. Even an F150 with the heavy duty payload package in a crew cab is probably less than 2500 pounds and your truck doesn't have 7 lug wheels so it is just a standard capacity truck. If you want to know the payload capacity just look at the door jamb sticker and it will tell you exactly how much it's rated for, my guess is around 1800 pounds.
Did not look squatted too bad.

I looked up the ford towing and payload brochure directly from ford the year my truck was manufactured. It says with the 5.0 v8 I have a payload of 3,270
