- Quick little recap of our New Years Eve outing on the Chesapeake Bay. Enjoy!
Date: December 31, 2023
Time: 7am - 2pm
Location: Middle Chesapeake Bay
Air Temp: 40 - 50 degrees F
Water Temp: 46 degrees F
Wind: ~5 mph
Gear: 7' or 6'6" Medium/Heavy casting gear for jigging
Tackle: 1, 1.5 oz jigs with 7" and 10" straight tail swimbaits for jigging (contrasting colors was key [whites, pinks, chartreuse])

man new years eve was awesome, didn't get the mega cow I was looking for.. but my dad and I put a whooping on those 30- 38" class fish, just so much fun from 7am till dark we were hammering them. December and January was magical this year, y'all caught some nice fish too. great video
