We’re at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on this trip working the pilings for Stripers. Tested out the
A-Rig on them. WOW! They were tearing it up guys. I don’t think a lot of people are using it. It was catching fish when the other stuff flat out wasn’t working. Other baits came into play later in the day. Here is some of the gear we were using.
Rods:
Duckett Incite- 7’ Med
Lews Xfinity- 7’ Med Heavy
Profishiency- 7’6” Heavy
Line:
Seagaur Red Label 12lb
Seagaur Red Label 15lb
Baits:
1/2oz Scrounger with Strike King Caffeine Shad
3/8oz Big Shakey Chatterbait by Bigmouth Lures

Where can I get this Alabama rig ?
Hi Paul! You can get them at Dicks Sporting goods or Bass Pro Shops. The one I usually use is called a Flash Mob Jr. Then you need to add swimbaits and jig heads on the swimbaits. Hook them up to the clips on the rig. Your only allowed 2 of the baits in Maryland to have hooks on them. Make sure that's the bottom 2 because the fish feed up. The other 3 you can't have hooks and just use swimbaits with no hooks. Tight lines bro!
Some friends and I are taking a charter boat out towards the end of the month. Thanks for your tip about the Alabama rig and only using two hooks. Much appreciated!
