I am a huge Kate Bush fan since 1978 and can say: your version is the most beautiful of this masterpiece, so sunny and uplifting. And the key is just in being completely different from the original. Kate will certainly love your work.
Impossible not to watch this and smile. If you're not smiling check your pulse, you might be dead
❤
These lockdown videos saved me from utter despair....thank you!
I came home from the Rock Shop in Hamilton N.Z. yesterday with a concert size Ukulele and a song book. Bob Dylan says if you know more than 4 cords you are showing off. I am now a uke player. One of your team. The shop had some nice ukes including a bass with massive strings and other strange looking ones. Vistas are opening up to me.
I don't know how many times I have watched this masterpiece of art but it keeps getting better and better. You guys and gals are just brilliant!
On behalf of everyone who's enjoyed these videos THANKYOU - your commitment to your fanbase has been outstanding. And ... the work behind the scenes to compile these videos, edit them and make them such superb performances will not have been trivial to say the least - so again, many times thankyou. By the way, who are the contributors we don't recognise? Stay safe - we want to see you all performing live again.
Thank you for tuning in each week to watch David! In this clip we have been joined by Jodi, Doug and Laura. Jodi is the UOGB manager, Doug is our sound engineer and Laura is a UOGB Dep and editor of the Lockdown series 😄
@@UkuleleOrchestra "Nice Fettling" all round! Another favourite of mine and I've had to re-watch it several times. Brilliant editing, brilliant performances and well... eh by 'eck it were just BRILLIANT!
You guys are amazing. My face is wet watching this with joy and awe. Truly inspiring
You guys are what the world needs. There should be more like you. Please continue to be awesome. Please..
Laughing, crying, bellowing out HEATHCLIFF! From the bottom of my heart, the depths of my soul, the farthest reaches of the space time continuum, thank you guys one and all....amazing.
I swear, this video gets funnier every time I see it! Well done, Lads and Lasses!
Can't help shouting HINCHCLIFFE! 😁
Its so easy to forget the orchestra members are all isolated from each other, at least one is in a different country atm. Yet they all seem to still naturally react to each other. Just imagine them actually Live together. Pure magic.
Another stunning performance by everyone, thank you for cheering up lockdown 👏👏👏👏👏👏🏴
Thank you Sharon 😊
Molto bravi. Ci vuole coraggio a interpretare in questo modo un pezzo iconico come wuthering heighs
Yet another great performance. Great to see Laura, Doug and Jodi taking part (and Laura's sheep). We now need a new DVD of all the performances. Did anyone else join in with shouting Heathcliff?
George has a fascinating voice
👋🗣👋 Wuthering is my very favourite, next Born this Way (sung beside the bannisters 😂),
Pin-a Ball-a Wizard, Good, Bad + the Ugly when Jonty cracks👍- loads of commenters loved that - and not forgetting The Model l play all those over + over to keep myself happy AND l bought a UKE ! only ever played piano + sung in choirs proving how motivating you are.
The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain is super, from USA
Oh goodness- I'll never be able to listen to the original again without yelling out "Heathcliff!"
Great to see George H. Singing the lead again! Icing on the cake with this group of Nobel
Troubadours.
Glorious! I'm going to miss these every week but can't wait to buy the whole collection when it comes out. Thank you so much to all of you for shining a light of delight in the to gloom of lockdown.
Thank you for tuning in each week to watch them with us Jackie! So pleased you have enjoyed them 😊
Ahhh - this was the one I was waiting for. George's best song I think, and it's great to see him fronting his eponymous orchestra once again.
An orchestra that keeps on growing too, it seems, with not just Laura this time but Doug doing his best sheepdog look and yet another face I don't know (yet). I almost wish this pandemic doesn't end as I'm so loving seeing a new video each weekend.
The other girl in the cap is Jodi, who has worked with the Ukes behind the scenes for years.
Jodi had to join us for our last Lockdown clip! She is the band's manager and makes all this possible 😄
UkuleleOrchestra LAST? 😭😭😭😭😭
@@bellbell3422 oh dear. Nooooo
It just gets better and better!
Hello from Finland Europe! Wow! What a Great Show, again! Love from Anu ❤🌼❤ to Everybody in Ukulele Britain Company in this video! Take care ❤🌼❤! Everybody!
You'll never know how happy this video makes me. Thank you all and lots of love x
(from Lorraine....!)
My face hurts from smirking the entire time.
This song was my introduction to Ukulele Orchestra of Gt Britain. I've been hooked ever since, it always makes me smile.
Driving in my car this morning and on the radio came One Night in Bangkok. I instantly thought the Ukulele Orchestra would do a great arrangement of this song.
Oh my goodness. How good is this! I was feeling a bit down about the state of things with the CoVid resurgance in Melbourne, but this has put a giant smile on my face, and got me dancing. I also couldn't help clapping loudly at the end. Thank you!
Amazing performance George - definitely a touch of George Melly about you in this one.
Love everyone in this humorous uplifting synergy. Brilliant music making.👏 Gotta find a CD. 💿
Kate Bush plus ukuleles! It’s like you made it just for me, thank you!
I think I've watched this over 20 times ,it's that good
One of the best things I have ever seen .... how did I not know about this amazing group sooner! I've been wasting my life ...
I’ve watched this so many times - it’s always a joy not just because of the music but that you all seem to have so much fun in the process. When are you touring again in the uk? 🇬🇧
This is a crazy fun version!!!!
Outside where the guy with the horses head was, was the exact same design that we 'ad tint Yorkshire!
Very entertaining!
The weekly video has been one of the highlights of my Sunday's. Thank you all so much, and like many others, I look forward to the album coming out!
I want to learn to play the ukelele now just so i can join this crazy wonderful gang of people!
Loved The Beatles reference at the end there. Wunderbar!
What are they singing at the very end actually?
@@thokagerBilly Shears,(reference to Sargent Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band).
I am mesmerised by this! Can't stop watching it. Thank you guys!!
With a little help from my friends, things suddenly seem less painful. Another classic gem to brighten the darkness. Magic!!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍
Watching such creatively crazy videos like this almost make me think that quarenteen was a blessing... Terrific!!!
Absolutely brilliant . Another member of orchestra. Top head gear worn by Leisa jonty & a red rose for hester. Top vocals by George. Look forward to the album, & dvd.
Just gets better and better and better. Long may the UOGB continue. Just love them.
One of the best great do dodo Richie as well !!
Such good playing and such good humour Loveryey
I am really going to miss these lockdown performances.
Love the sheets of banknotes hot off the press, really enjoyed that.
Please say this isn't the last lockdown video! How will we cope on Sundays? Well, just wanted to say thanks to George and the gang for some fantastic videos. Thanks to Doug, Laura and Jodi for their work behind the scenes. Glad to see them all in this one. I'm so looking forward to seeing you playing live when you start touring again. Take care... don't Uke and drive. 😉
I saw you guys perform this when you came to Australia back in 2012 (I think??? I was 11 akjdfh), I didn't know the original at the time but I remember absolutely loving this version! Still do to this day - thanks for the fun throwback
This was the first song I ever heard UOGB ever do! Friend m there next it was all pure joy just listening to them. I even got my own Ukulele, because I was playing a guitar but I switched up and now love it and them even more!
My ambition is to see this band live after COVID Lockdown x
Unalloyed joy. Thank you! So many good memories of hearing this live. It's my favourite version of the song and always will be. Sorry Kate.
That was the first song I ever heared of you and that made me a fan so many years ago! Am going to scream "Heathcliff" the whole evening now! Thank you so much!
"You may be cool, but you'll never be shirtless David Gilmour rocking an epic solo in a Roman amphitheater cool.'' - Though George singing Wuthering Heights again is pretty close.
Shades of Kate Bush👏👏👏. Enjoying this and dancing along.
BIG THANKQ
Yes please stay safe we love u greets from germany i do love you
You are all utterly fantastic! Thank you! 💕💕💕💕
Well, that’s another Sunday brightened up no end!
I really love it ! Hello from France.
and hello from Ireland.
Just when I finally got my favourite UOGB song out of my head. you lot come along and put it right back in there again! Amazing performance as always and nice to see a couple new faces in the lineup! Such a shame this was the last one as I love the format and honestly would like to see more.
I’ve been listening to Kate Bush for the past 3 hours and what a lovely rendition! I enjoyed it so much. Love that Kate dance at 1:23 💃🏻 Thanks for the excellent job! Hope to see your live performance someday :)
Keep 'em coming Ukes! Loving them here in Australia! 🇦🇺
I have always loved this one, so was hoping that it might feature in one of your wonderful weekly performances. Thank you so much! You have all really made my day! :)
We´re so sad that this is your last #UkuleleLockdown video. My mum and I have been waiting each week ´till the new video is up and have enjoyed all of them. Thank you for the music 😉, the songs your playing and the great entertainment. The time and effort you put in it is much appreciated. We have become big fans during the lookdown period. Greeting from Munich/Germany.
Thank you both for tuning in each week to watch our videos, we really appreciate the support 😄
You are awesome, everyone of you . Thanks for all the work that goes into these productions . So entertaining !
I love how much fun everyone is having in these videos! Thank you for sharing them
This is just great entertainment. Nothing like opening up the Sunday comic strips and getting top rate music too.
After listening to your fabulous performances it is on ward to reading the comments. By the time I am finished
I have a number of belly laughs which puts a smile on my face and everything just isn't going to be
too bad. Thanks to all of you!
Thank you Michael! We are so glad you enjoyed it.
Yaye what a typically fab wonderful witty Splendiferous UOGB classic rendition and really great to hear George singing again ...thank you thank you for your musical gift of happiness :-))))))))
Well, after this was mentioned during a band rehearsal over zoom, I had to check it out.
And I'm so glad I did.
Yes, I was singing 'Heathcliffe' along with just about everyone else (how could you no,t its almost addictive!!!) but lets remember that Kate's original version is up there as an all time classic. Well done UoGB for bringing Kate's version back into the public eye.
The only cover version of a classic I'd click on, in preference to the original. Definitely be one of my Desert Island Discs!
As always, wonderful and a huge smile on my face. Thanks to you all for cheering my weekends up for the last several weeks. Go Ukes!
My favourite !
Excellent as always! Thanks very ta!
Fantastic! One of my favourites. Thanks to you all x
It is one of our favourites too 😊
This was the first song ever, I heard from the Ukulele Orchestra and I fell in Love with these Guys and Dolls. I miss you folks. Like to see you soon back in Germany. My heart and my soul need a little happynis. You are awesome. Thank you.
I pre-ordered your new CD and I can't wait to hear it.
Fingers crossed we are back on the road soon, we miss you all too! Thank you for pre ordering our CD hopefully it will be with you soon.
My second favorite song by the Ukes! I love all of you for your friendships and the joy you give so freely! Seen you three times in Maine. Come back soon!
Amazingly brilliant as ever. Hope to see you all live one day in the Netherlands.
Another gift! Thank UOGB! Y’all really make my day when a new vid pops in! Thank you for your talent and hard work! Great to see all the behind the scenes players joining in the fun! Love and peace to all! 💕🎶🤟😷
There are some occasions when words can't do justice... But thank you from those deep places your music reaches and dwells to lift my spirit 😊 👏👏👏👏
Thanks to all involved. Your infectious joy has overcome all other infections during this isolation period. Keep up the love. You are entertainers in the truest form. p. s. I play along with my uke and banjolele too. 😘
The funniest Lockdown piece yet from the Ukes! Love Leisa's 'baaahaaa!!!! What would life be like without them?! Desperate for a lockdown version of Heroes though.
CLASSIC!
Great to see the backroom boys and girls. Another great production.
Super Klasse

Lockdown or not...pure entertainment. Thank you once again.
One of my favorites THANK YOU!
Such fun. Thank you!
An absolute orchestra classic! Loved this
A great video in lockdown. Welcome NEW faces to Ukulele Orchestra. I love British humour. Ancestors... British... so an affinity with everything English. Stay safe and thanks for sharing 💖💖💖
You can't get a more English name than yours.
This is my favorite self-isolation video yet! I love to see George Hinchliffe singing this! I really enjoy the bahhh's and the hollering back and forth from the rest of the orchestra too... "Couldn't we just go to Ikea, like other people?" LOL. Please share the ukulele chords you're using for this song! I'd love to play along. :)
Excellent as always. Nice to see Jonty enjoying a 'Condor' moment with his pipe! 😊
Beautiful, thank you
One of my favorites! ❤️
Just love this..so good!!
Great stuff reaching out to all of us in this interminable lockdown. And George looking and sounding his most relaxed yet.
Just seen this for first time. Truly brilliant and highly entertaining. Wish I'd seen it sooner
Thank you!
