Thank you for driving by and recognizing our Western NC location - Wilderness Cove Campground & Tubing. We are devastated but resilient and we will be back 💚
It is still almost completely unbelievable to see all of the devastation. Thank you for posting as everyone needs to "NOT FORGET" what has happened to the people in our beautiful mountains and foothills.
Thank you for sharing. It looks so vastly different then when I rode through in early September. It will take years for this area to recover and it will never be the same. Sending healing vibes to you all.
The devastation in western NC is horrific, as it was in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. The is still much help needed and work to be done to restore lives and businesses. As we enjoy the winter holidays, please include those impacted and the volunteers trying to assist in your prayers for comfort, safety and God's richest blessings in 2025.
Sadly it's going to take years for Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina to recover from Helene damage. I'm 70 years old and gone thru numerous hurricanes but none like Helene!
Can someone drive by where the tent camp ground was,, and show what it looks like now? because i use to go there for many years it's at green river. the last flood they had there Iwent and help them rebuild it. it was for tents and they had power.
The warming oceans, caused by human activity since the Industrial Revolution, brought this amount of rain to Appalachia. It’s going to happen again and again, in various places.
😂 So if the reservoir above these devastated areas aren't there would there be a flood like this a simple Yes or no. Again if you remove these Man-made reservoirs would there be this amount of devastation? Again a simple yes or no.
How are they freezing with all the wood they got to burn I reckon they are not as tough as people say mountain people are independent and don’t need outsiders 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Thanks for this video, for sure the national news would never show what it really looks like.

8:27. I have to say that is pretty impressive that they got all that debris off the road to make it passable.
Unbelievable! I went tubing there 2 summers ago.
Sad situation there. It was like a warzone.

1:20 You can hear the roar of a "calm wind" in the mountains. Imagine 9/27 at 9am here.
This proves. That the current in charge politicians believe. We the People. Work for them! St.Paul Minnesota.
