Isonzo is a first-person shooter video game. It is a team-based multiplayer game set on the Italian Front during World War I. It was released on Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on September 13, 2022. It is the sequel to Verdun and Tannenberg

They need to combine all 3 games, to get more players.
All of the games feel like the same game but are set in different locations.
That's what I think about it too.
They can't, all are different game engine versions.
I doubt they can combine them all, I reckon they would have done it already, but instead allow switching between them in the main screen of each game, I don't think they planned for this when they made the previous 2 games unfortunately

@@TantwoSo there were 12 battles of Isonzo. Italians tried 11 times, just to break the lines at Soča (Isonzo) river. 11. FUCKING. TIMES. they were never succesful

@@SlovenianMapsnot that true, it's just how ww1 warfare was. Add to that a large ass river and mountains, so yeah. Realistically it was the only place for a great offensive, in Trentino it was a fucking suicide to attack. Le somme, Verdun never had any river or mountain, but guess what, the entente and central powers struggled too for a long time.
They just released an update that, while adding a new map, changes a few essential things about the guns. Recoil is surprisingly more accurate to IRL (still needs some gradual improvements), and enbloc rifles now have the ability to reload before they're empty.
It may not seem like much, but the recoil change makes a major difference with how the guns feel
Isonzo is an excellent game. I've played all 3 and it's def the best. Absolutely love the environment of the game, Italy is so beautiful and is a wonderful mix up from the trenchs of France which gets very dull after playing awhile.

Remember 1 thing, you need pay unity 3D now if your game created with this engine, is played from people.
The problem is how much players play verdun and tannenberg, because they need pay and this don't help blackmil.

They need to fix:
1. the stationary machine guns
Sometimes the bullets just hit infron of you, instead of where you are shooting
2. Increase the damage from grenades (return the damage to release day damage) and increase bullet penetration
3. Getting the sniper scope should be based on skill, not based on fast HDD

That's another great review! I would agree on that Isonzo has probably the biggest pottential of all ww1 games, of course the thing which underestimates it, is the lack of direct combat mechanism like less cannons or vehicles of any type we had in BF1, of course it doesn't mean that it is less realistic or something, but surely that would make experience even more enjoyable than it is already. In beyond the wire that was a thing that could make players stick to the game for bit longer. But anyway I think that after a year of playing Isonzo, view on it has changed in positive way afterall, devs did really Good job on listening to fans as much as possible, but not sure if the DLC is made in a right way, also the way of getting new weapons is kinda too much even for a more professional players. I am thinking myself now of making Isonzo review from the more detailed point, also about historically accuracy, which goes pretty well;D But I'll try to wait for all updates to come first, because it is possible that yet much can change in the game in the close future. Also can tell that as a fascinated person and historical reenactor of this specific war and front, it is just an experience I was looking for! Good luck and keep the quality content you make!
Also I would add, that some classes like officer, could be better with having grenades for example:) because it would not made it too OP anyway

Many don’t know, but this game series has a console version. Bringing it to Xbox game pass would encourage people to try it or at the very least make it more accessible to those who do play it.
They literally can't combine them, they all run on different game engine versions. I see so many people saying they need to combine all three of them which is impossible unless they re-made all three games on the same game engine version. Which will NEVER happen.
They have to remake the games from scratch
I personally thought that Isonzo is way more much better than Beyond the wire. I had them both,but I think Beyond the wire just simply "Squad game mode➕ WWI in our stereotype".Off world wanna copy their success of Squad in tactical shooting games,but the isonzo,or the whole WWI series, are the games really knew what the real WWI is like and tried to restored them in the game. WWI series,especially verdun and isonzo will always be the best WWI shooting game in my opinion,neither BF1 can compete with them

The only historical inaccuracy found (is small though so you won’t care) in one of the dlc packs for the game the bersaglieri skin the dress hat has the number 4 on it but the outfit that you wear has a bicycle on there back and the number I was talking about is the regiment that the soldier is in but the 4th regiment did not use bicycles the 1st regiment used bicycles. But I’m a nerd rambling in RUclips video so why would you care

I left the game bc took them too much time to release new content sadly 1 map for 4 months wasnt enough for my monkey brain, the player count dropped and the performance issues felt more bad then when the game released
Verdun is keeping its players simply by being the best known WW1 front, the western front. I have the whole series and I like elements of each game and dislike other elements of each game. Verdun suffers from being the first game, its the least polished and developed one and I wish devs implemented some elements of newer games into it. In Tannenberg I like how they improved squads members (giving each member of squad some ability), maneuver gamemode was interesting and maps various and each sector gives you a bonus. But Tannemberg suffers from being "lesser known" ( I mean by general public who can only imagine trenches of western front as WW1) front wich means it has lower playerbase and weapon selection is rather limited in comparison to Verdun's. Isonzo fixes one huge issue I had with previous games, gas is now actually lethal and you have to act fast, the only way I could score kills with gas barrage in Verdun and Tannenberg was targeting locations with bots because it took some time to actually kill someone with gas but in Isonzo if you waste mor than few seconds you are dead and I like it. Another things that I like in isonzo is the building system, mortars, field guns, actual spotting system that works and rewards you for spotting (wich I really miss in verdun), the main gamemode is really interesting and new class system prevents sniper/machine gun spamming. But there are also one huge thing that I really dislike and wich kinda holds me back from playing more of it. The new unlock system is horrible (you have to level up your account, then you have level up your class wich unlocks you two part challenge that you have to complete and THEN you get new thing unlocked) like arcade battlefield/cod horrible and I despise it.
Also Battlefield 1 isn't WW1 game but politicised-corporate-supersimplified-arcade steaming pile of garbage.

I kinda agree with your description, lol. I still play it, but I do hate the rampant use of automatic weapons and I can't find servers that only allows bolt actions
Yeah, BF1 is really just a modern shooter with a WW1 coat of paint.
IRL, I could count the number of purpose built automatic shoulder fired weapons made in significant numbers in WW1 on one hand. That being: The French RSC models, the German MP-18, the American Browning Auto Rifle, and the Italian Villar Perosa derived automatic weapons. Other than those, the main weapons used were either man-portable stationary machine guns, bolt action rifles, martial handguns, service revolvers, or melee weapons.
While maneuver warfare was common in the East and offensives occurred in the Alps in a more traditional manner, the western front is best described as a tug-of-war slog between two sides taking land, losing it, and taking it again. Crossing no man's land between trenches was a harrowing endeavor, and you definitely wouldn't be sprinting across it unscathed with a water-cooled machine gun like a football jock.
Not just that, but vehicles like tanks and planes were slow, fragile, and VERY limited in numbers. Manfred Von Richthofen, the "ace of aces" Red Baron was very likely killed by an Australian Digger with a Lewis Gun, it was very easy to get shot down. Tanks could hardly move a few miles without throwing their tracks, the armor was thin enough that rifle caliber bullets hitting the tank would cause fragments of spall to come shooting off the walls inside the tank, and the tanks themselves could very easily get bogged down in the mud despite being designed to be used in these conditions.
Battlefield 1 shits on this game and every other world war game buddy. Sucks for you that you have to lie to yourself just cause it isn't realistic

They advanced almost to tyrol crossing the river but austria with more german aid and new tactics cause a route of the main attcking force and that they gain in the 10th and 11th counteroffensives were mostly lost i was not taught anysort of great war history they just skiped this and imidiaty talk about the rise of fascism even though the great war shaped the views of the futur beligirents in the next war that they did not talk about at all.
Maps are far to small and linear. So many areas are off limits and they push people into very small areas. Not much in terms of variety as it always the same area and very little flanking. Weapon recoil is also very odd and weapons don't feel realistic.
I think if they made maps wider they would feel way more empty, plus on the Italian front the most common way to attack was indeed a frontal linear attack so its pretty realistic too

I can't wait for the Eastern Front with 20 players
I can't wait for the Italian Front with 70 players
I can't wait for the east African front game with a player count of only 20 players
I can't want to play the Balkan Front game with only 9 players
I can't wait for the Ottoman Front with only 24 players
I can't wait for the Pacific front with only 3 players

Dose this game have a single player?
Yeah it has an offline mode with bots, not the best offline experience I ever had but you can progress and unlock guns offline

Crazy how Tantwo doesnt have like 100k subs at least, I've seen RUclipsrs than put less effort, with crappy games just to get like 2 Mil. Its kinda annoying lol, Great video tho.
