Thanks very much mate! Yes, there were some brilliant layouts at this exhibition, plenty of interest for everyone. This was quite a while ago now though, I’d like to think my camera work has improved since then since this footage is all very shaky and not edited together as well as I’d like these days! Thanks for watching as always 👍
enjoyed the Oulton TMD coverage. plenty of train movements-very enjoyable. Let's face it as much as going to see the layouts at exhibitions it is nice to see plenty of trains moving.
Great video mate! Sorry I've been inactive for a while, I've had a ton of work to do over the past 2 months. I enjoyed the video, it was great seeing all those layouts! :D
This is a great piece of vid. Everything has been executed to perfection. Congratulations - BUT for me the huge gaps between passenger coaches always detracts from the overall enjoyment.
Agreed, no one yet it seems, has mastered modelling the gangways between passenger coaches. Can't understand why, some simple moulded latex would work in fabricating scale concertina gangway passages. . So much attention to detail goes into everything else on a layout, why not the most obvious, like how the passenger coaches are coupled. . Without these interconnections, most layouts look just like toy trains, instead of scale models.
Thanks very much! Glad you enjoyed the video. I must admit, this and the rest of the videos from this era are far from my favourite videos of mine. I feel these are far too shaky and terribly edited, I hope my later videos are much better! 2015 was a brilliant year for the annual exhibition though and I was certainly a big fan of Oulton TMD, which as you may be able to tell has been a true inspiration for my running sessions ever since! Thanks very much for watching and commenting, I’m looking forward to catching up on the Bleak Week at the weekend after a hectic week! 👍
Hi Matthew, Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. After a little research I can tell you it was called Garsdale Head, if indeed it is the N gauge Yorkshire style layout with the impressive viadact.
Take heed of Richard Timms exellent advice *please.* Also, it would be helpful to know some basic details, like the gauge & scale etc... Otherwise, not bad work on what was an outstanding layout.
Thank you for your comment and indeed sound advice. I'm currently in the process of editing more recent years' exhibition footage, I hope it is of a much higher quality than this, after all, this was some 5 years ago now. Since then my hand has become much steadier and hopefully there is less out of focus/jerky camera movement, my more recent videos on youtube should display this. I would finally like to apologise for the extreme delay in replying to your comment, I've experienced issues in the notifications for youtube and as such hadn't noticed any of the comments on this video until now, hopefully this is now resolved. Thank you.
just a point, when something else moves, either pause recording, re-frame and resume, or slow pan towards the subject, the sudden rapid, jerky and often out of focus rapid shot changes spoil an otherwise good video and indeed, subject matter. you don't have to video everything, wait until it passes you..as in real life.
Hi Richard, Thank you for your comment and your sound advice. This video is far from my best, it is far too shaky and all over the place for my liking too. Hopefully my more recent uploads are more up to scratch, though I am currently in the process of editing more exhibition videos from recent years, so there are none on my channel since this one. I also apologise that it has taken me years to reply to you, I have been experiencing issues with youtube so there have been several comments that I have missed. Thank you once again, Laurence.
Hi mate, some great footage of some fantastic layouts. Great inspiration and thanks for sharing, Paul

Very realistic. I liked the slow moving trains going over all the switch tracks as opposed to the usual fast moving trains on the straight-aways.
Great video and great show. Will be attending again next year. Keep up the good work with the uploads, am subscribed now so I don't miss anything.
Superb video. Thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Bob
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it :)

Cheers mate, glad you enjoyed it, it was a great exhibition so much variety. Anyway nice to see you back :)
Great video of Oulton Tmd but only showing centre of layout not much coverage on the far left and right of the layout.
Thank you for your comment and your good advice, I do apologise for the extreme delay in replying to your comment.
Oulton TMD, thats the best layout i have seen. Great video too.
Thanks glad you like it, definitely agree with you here, Oulton Road TMD is a stunning layout, so much going on I could watch it for hours
