really cool tutorial... Thanks so much for sharing. I was glad, other followers have found the solution for the feedback loop problem. Otherwise I would never have discovered this. So thanks to the community too 🙏
Great tutorial! Thank you so much. I have a question, I don't have the option for RBG floats in my pixel formats. I see RBGA and others like RB and Mono etc but not RBG. Do you know why?
I've tried this four times now and can't even reach the first pattern. I just get a static image. I'm not sure if it has something to do with the version of TD or what, but any ideas would be greatly appreciated. When I drag the fbEnd null top to the Feedback top, I don't see the connection between them, although "fbEnd" shows in the "Target TOP" selection inside the feedback top. Thank you so much for making these tutorials!
Hello bileam tschepe, Forgive me if this is obvious but on my version of TD, 2023.11340. I can not locate the exact Pixel Format option for 32 bit float RGB, the list is not the same on my version of TD as it is on the tutorial. I can see (11 -bit float RGB, Positive Values Only) but my list does not look the same as yours, probably a question for the forum but I just thought I would reach out if you have any ideas?...Thank you, Neil
I had the same issue and tried to use 32-bit RGBA instead but soon realised it cannot work with that... so used the 11-bit RGB, Positive Values Only and managed to get the same results as in the tutorial
Hi mate, following through this tut now and I encountered the same issue, on the Level node set the Clamp Input from Automatic to Clamp 0 - 1, hope it helps you too,
I can't get mine to generate from itself, the image looks like if you were to take 2 photos of something and one is slighlty off and you go back and forth to each photo. Almost like static on a tv

This tutorial doesn't work anymore as it is. You need to set "Clamp Input" in "level1" to "Clamp [0-1]" instead of "Automatic".
bless u

i have the same problem
fuckin same. any luck with this?
Same here
make sure Clamp Input is set to Clamp [0-1] instead of Automatic
for those looking for this "Clamp" parameter - it is in the "Level" operator

thanks! but why is it collapsing after 1-2 seconds? did i forget something?
i mean, the reaction turns complete black after seconds
I have the same thing happening too, not sure why
I guess , you made somehow a kind of sharp effect with the slope and the displace. Thaz fancy anyway… nice!!!
Looking forward to coding tutorials😍
Hey Bileam, is there a way to instance TOPs like you would with the geo comp?
