    NO mesh editing required! In this tutorial for Blender 2.8, I'll show you a very quick and simple technique to generate a beautiful Voronoi style sphere from the basic cube using only the default modifiers in the software. The result will be a watertight mesh suitable for 3d printing or rendering.

      I saw that one too! unfortunately that was for a different nurbs software - it's called rhinocerous and had a plugin called grasshopper which was the nodes. it's a paid software package although the plugins are usually open source. I mistakenly looked at that one hoping itd show me how to map the voronoi over complex shapes in blender. they're really similar but you can do a lot more in blender and affordably :) hope you found what you were after

    I love the simplicity and your teaching. You made this easy. WOuld you use a booleaned or hollow cylinder to make a bracelet?

    • @luxxeon3d
      @luxxeon3d  4 года назад

      Thankyou for commenting. If you're asking if I would use a boolean on this particular model in order to make a bracelet from it, the answer would be no. There is a way to create voronoi patterns without booleans in the shape of a torus or some other ring-like surface instead, which would be far more beneficial for making bracelets. In fact, I will add that as an idea for a future tutorial. I have one or two more lined up first, but keep an eye out for a new voronoi style bracelet video very soon. That's a great idea.

    Very cool! First time learning how to stack modifiers. What if I want to have a shape like a ring and apply these modifiers. It seems it only works with cubes? I've tried to apply this configuration to a hollowed cylinder but it didn't work. Maybe deleting the vertices? Thanks
