- In Day 3 of my exciting first trip to Cuba, I realize a long-anticipated bucket list moment: enjoying my first cigar with Edward and Eddie Sahakian in CUBA!! This is a moment that I have, literally, dreampt about for years! The ambiance of Havana's Evocación Tobacco Lounge, nestled within the opulent Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski La Habana, serves as the perfect location for us to finally enjoy magnificent Cuban cigars together, not in London, but in Havana, Cuba! This isn't just any cigar-it's a shared dream materializing amidst the soothing rhythms of Cuban life. As we light up our cigars, we not only savor the rich, intricate flavors, but also the companionship and conversation made all the more special by the combination by deep friendship, special moments, and incredible cigars!
This episode is an intimate portrayal of camaraderie and the simple yet profound pleasures of cigar culture in the city where it all began, Havana, Cuba. Sit back and be transported to this haven of luxury and tradition, as we indulge in a moment that encapsulates the soul of Havana.

Definitely I always have a cigar when I watch Kirby or Foulks and sons. There is other content with Nick perdomo, or Carlito Fuente and Eddie and Edward sahakiean (slaughtered that I'm sure). But Kirby combines them all in one place. Phenomenal videos
I’m glad to see people world wide enjoy the staple of my people!! I was born in Havana, I was raised with the men in my family smoking cigars all around me and now as a man myself and in the United States I smoke a cigar and think about my grandfather in Cuba and my father and it helps me bring back memories. True fact about my family from my mother’s side, my great grandfather worked for Menéndez and Garcia and helped them manage a factory where they grew the crops for H.Upmans.. so safe to say Cuban cigars run through my veins.
The relationship Edward has with his son Eddie is the kind of relationship I aspire to have with my son, I hope I am able to cut a cap, toast up and sit back and just have a good conversation about cigars, the world and culture and all kinds of topics with my son one day. Edward summed it up perfectly, “a bond of friendship”
I can listen to these gentlemen all day long.
The way Edward and Eddie just leant forward together when Kirby got his cigars out was the most amazing display of passion, respectful passion, two gentlemen can show. They love and respect every part of the process of cigar enjoyment, from the conception, to the production, to just staring at a selection together, and deciding which tobacco to enjoy first. What a bond to run through a family, amazing.
As someone who’s Cuban-born and raised in the US, I don’t have much of an opportunity through American mainstream channels to see my island portrayed in as beautiful a light as this. Political and economic issues aside, Cuba is a beautiful place with even more beautiful people and I believe you truly honored that! Thank you!

The skill of a videographer is simply amazing. Everything just seems to flow and it must have been a challenge to bring all the gear to Cuba, especially if it's only one person doing all the work!

@@lsolus6613 Haha. Indeed. The unsung hero’s are the editors. Videographers have to do great work, but their mistakes are tended to by the editors while they move onto the next project.
@@Kenny-yl9pc actually, as a professional editor, it's these simple long scenes that are by far the most difficult to do WELL. its easy to throw something together that's passable, but making it really flow is very tricky. Whereas the fancy stuff is actually kind of easy once you know what you are doing.

I’m looking forward to the small bar at the fort in Havana which it’s name I’ve forgotten to enjoy such a thing. OMG, Edward was in Cuba already after the best cigars and I being born in 1988. The Sahakian are legends, and I respect it so much.
he was literally one of the first groups allowed to visit in the early 1990's....
This one of Kirbys best videos very informative..It also a fun watch which is relaxing.. I smoked one of my Cohiba cigars this morning as I do every morning that is until I run out.. Good interview guys....

Just got my first real Cuban cigar. I met a guy and got to talking about cigars and well he surprised me with a beautiful Montecristo #2 that he bought in Cuba. Its in my humidor just waiting for an occasion. Ive always liked cigars but only started really getting addicted recently. Fantastic series Kirby👌

I will not claim to know a enough to point you to all the right spots. There is balance between prestige and lesser-known innovative winemakers. In classic Kirby fashion I defer to the experts. James Suckling and Robert Parker are certainly the most prominent wine critics around and they exhibit their discoveries online. Both of them have tremendous respect for „new world“ West Coast wines. Not quite the lineage as some of the French wineries but the US has really developed an incredible know-how and produces some of the best wines in the world. Since you spoke about terroir in the context of cigars, I felt discovering the world of winemaking together feels like the next logical step.

I liked how the father's cigar was almost finished but he didn't waste any of it. The father made the last quarter of the cigar last 50 minutes. I pulled a small muscle in my back smoked a cigar while watching and learning from this video. My cigar didn't heal the pulled muscle but it took the pain away. Being outside on a hot day has a beneficial sauna detox effect. Cold exposure has a invigorating effect that converts body fat into energy. Thanks for sharing
Edward is a notoriously slow smoker... he really knows how to savor his cigar.
