Thank you so much for detailing the placement of the blades and spacers. I had mine apart because of a broken cover plate, and those pieces were what sent me to youtube. (Forgot to take a photo before tearing apart). My question is, do you think that metal auger is a worthwhile upgrade from the plastic one?

i DON'T KNOW IF it's the auger or the auger motor. The metal piece in the back of fridge spins without any tension . How do you know which it is?
Depending on your make and model it might be just the actuator that locks into your ice bucket or it maybe an entire assembly of motor and gearbox.
My Whirlpool has mind of its on when choosing crushed of whole cubes . How can I delete crushed choose entirely it makes a mess.
