Hi I have this in my veggie garden here in the Netherlands, and we call it Palm kale, because it looks like a kokonut/palm tree and when you harvest the laeves from down coming up it looks just like a palm. I make a very simple but tasty vegan green soup with onions, garlic patatoes, carrots, chicken stock from tablets, and some seasoning cumin, black pepper and some more. Then smooth it out with a staff mixer. You won't get it slippery smooth but just right with some texture. Delicious!
Gutsy move. I'm pleased you found my recipe. I love kale especially Lacinato a/k/a Dino kale by itself or with white Tuscan cannellini beans. Keep on cooking. --Gianni
Wow, Gianni, this tops them all. Not as the best tasting thing you've posted, but because I NEVER thought I could enjoy eating kale. I think I under did it, but it is still tasty. I've made about 12-15 of your dishes, they all come out great.
Ciao Jimmy. I'm happy my recipes have worked well for you and that you tried kale, one of my favorite greens. It's good for you eat more. Kale does need a little more cooking time if you want it tender. Keep on cooking. Buon appetito1 --Gianni
Yes, I love telling people I can make Tiramisu. I always say, 'you wouldn't believe how easy it is'. And your sugo, is outstanding. I make that weekly.
Ciao Michael. Yes I added a sprinkle of sea salt to bring out the kale's full flavor. Here's the link to the recipe. www.gianni.tv/black-kale-steamsauteed-with-garlic-chili/ Buon appetito! --Gianni
leave it to italy to make kale good. all hail italia, the emperor of cuisines! and im not even italian. a twig off an italian tree is better than most other cuisines.
Ciao Sebastian. You're right I did use "a little bit" a little bit too much. I counted 10 times. How many did you hear? BTW, the little bit of extra virgin olive oil in the pan is about 1 tablespoon.

I cooked it tonight and it was fantastic. The kale absorbed all the fruity olive oil that bursts out the flavor as you chew. Thank you for the recipe.
Yum. You've inspired me to make some black kale today. Keep on cooking. Buon appetito.

Looks good Gianni! Thanks!
I cook that with sliced potatoes with garlic and oil first but i add the spinach later because it cooks quicker
Yes, if I'm using spinach put it in last. The kale takes longer to cook though.
Buon appetito!

Awesome! Thank you so much!!!!
Delicious!
Tuscan black kale or lacinto kale is also called cavolo nero.
Are you still making videos Gianni?
I'd never waste the stalks.
Look them first and when tender, after say 10 min, then add the leaves
More chili and garlic and some salt for me. 😁
: )
No salt??
Ciao Michael.
