Maybe if IL-96 was twin engined.
I’m certain it’s a competent aircraft. However, until UAC comes up with the twin-engine version it won’t be able to compete with the 777 or A350.
A lot of work has been done on it to provide customer comfort, but it still needs to improve on range and fuel efficiency. UEC also does not help matters with an ultra slow pace of engine development and certification!

AS long as internal market is serviced it will be great. ENGINE ISSUES AND LACK OF MAINTENANCE SERVICE CENTRES IS MAIN ISSUE. NEED MORE SERVICE CENTRES AND PARTS POOLS. Which wester co have in abundance.
It is a good plane and crucial for Russia. The big airlines have to order it so that it goes into Serial Production and then other countries will hopefully place orders for it.

Yes, Indian companies are going to buy this crap in droves. The plane has outdated avionics (because Russia has no better), needs 3 in the cockpit, the supposed engines for a 2 configuration won't surely see the light of day before the end of the decade.
And it comes with the plus of being a gas guzzler and a nightmare to service (no parts and always broken), 2 things that airlines love.
Only Russia which can't likely have anything else for decades and the countries who can't buy other planes will want it.

IL-96 has an excellent flight record but given that you support Ukraine (the new Nazi land) you probably didn’t do your research.
