My immediate older brother died last year in Yobe. A captain in the Nigerian Army. They were ambushed and massacred. The army declared him MIA. Until this day we never got his body. My father couldn’t bear the pain. He too passed away this year. Imagine the pain the negligence of this country has put my family through. Sending soldiers to war in Soft Skin vehicles. Nigeria is a cursed mess.
I couldn't stop crying, my heart ache's. May God help him and all the innocent soldiers who went through this hell, just because they were fighting for this country. May the almighty God bless them n protect them.
I grew up in the barracks. Even though during the days of our fathers ( 63 NA) there was also corruption, it wasn't this worse. The Nigerian Army was stronger and its men, brave because, they were adequately catered for. They never had to purchase their uniforms and arms and ammunition including adequate ration (food and basic supplies) were provided when needed. The Army of today Nigeria is what it is because of corruption that stems from the National Assembly down to the Army leadership.
It is good Nigerians are watching and listening to this very Handsome, Courageous and Highly Patriotic Ex Soldier of the Nigerian Army who merely demanded for better weapons to fight insurgents in the Northeast of Nigeria, but rather got and miraculously escaped the death sentence they pronounced on him. This is obviously the handiwork of the brothers of the same Insurgents, he was trying to fight, operating behind the scenes, the self acclaimed owners of Nigeria, who will rather have patriotic members of the military wasted than seeing them truly and professionally fighting their Imported Foreign Mercenary Brothers. All can now clearly see why the Southeast have been foghting to have their Independence from Nigeria because you cannot be in Nigeria and be applauded for fighting or attempting to fight them and the Evils they Brought Upon the Country. Is it for nothing that Buhari once said " Any fight Against Boko Haram is a Fight Against the "North" when indeed, he was actually referring to such as a fight Against the "Fulanis" Who are the Brothers of the Foreign Mercenaries also known as Boko Haram.......What a Country!

This is someone that is fully trained for war,but just neglected and thrown into the society by unscrupulous elements, after the government will say the youths are picking arms.please this soldier should be pardoned, called back to service and all his entitlement be released.Not celebrating criminals.
