I keep seeing people in the comments like "I wish nobody had died and all the couples had happy endings" I love the characters and believe me watching Mark and Lexie die traumatized me to my core but the show wouldn't be as good if none of the bad stuff happened. I would watch a show where everything is good all the time, the characters dying and most couples ending gave the show depth, and it made it realistic because the truth is nothing good lasts forever.

i don’t think it would have been bad if we had never seen how their relationship actually turned out. if george and miranda had a more flirtatious relationship in the actual show, it probably would have made more sense than it doesn’t right now. i do think that would have been a mistake because they had such a good family type bond that would have been ruined by that script.

And don't forget Derek leaving Meredith for Addison(although I like Addison, seriously Derek? You went back to your wife that you cheated on you with your best friend.) Then from the moment Derek got the call from the president their relationship became very unhealthy. Also Derek kissed another woman while he was in D.C. Although I will say the post it marriage was adorable.

To say that Alex’s departure was foreshadowed is reaching. The writers had to write him out quickly, and reached into an unfinished storyline for ideas (remember that Heigl also left unexpectedly, so that storyline was unresolved by accident)

To say that Alex’s departure was foreshadowed is reaching. The writers had to write him out quickly, and reached into an unfinished storyline for ideas (remember that Heigl also left unexpectedly, so that storyline was unresolved by accident)
