- I'm very excited for this video. The 911 Turbo is the dream Porsche 911 and this is certainly true for my friend Chris. In this video we take a look a 991.1 Turbo he just picked up, having recently owned a 991.2 Targa and a 992 C4S. We take a look at the Turbo and then see what happens when we put it up against my 991 C2... I'm sure this won't spoil the surprise, and so unsurprisingly, he crushes me. Still, it's fun to watch right?! Enjoy!

Beautiful car. I had the M6. Tuned to 780 BHP. But all you do is slide. Now with the turbo S 9:55 , 4 wheel drive and steer, it’s a rocket, unbelievably fast
I have a 2018 turbo s 991.2. Love it. Looks wise it's better looking than the new 992 which is gorgeous. But I think my current 2018 is more of a looker. The rear has a better look to it.

Isn't it amazing how often the older generations of 911 can still outshine their younger counterparts in more ways than one. Newer isn't always better.

I changed my 991.1 C2 for a 991.2 Turbo - what it lacks in sound drama it more than makes up for in all round performance.

Love to get red seat belts for my black 997 turbo but a $4,500 change over in Australia. Ouch, although it has increased in value by around $100,000 in the last year. 😁

Naturally aspirated wins for me. 991.1 GTS if you need four seats or a 991.2 GT3 club sport if you don't!

I owned one of these 991.1TT’s and quite honestly you don’t need all that horsepower and acceleration. Should have listened to Nick on that one. Also not a huge fan of the PDK in the Turbo, feels very disengaged. I’m happier with my new 992 Targa 4S in 7 speed manual, the new model is much more refined in my opinion.

Agreed! The chrome tips are now high gloss black like the wheels.
Question for you. Any experience with forward facing car seats in your 991?
Yes! I have the factory car seat for the rear seats.

There are ways to beat a faster car in a rolling start, back in the 90's at an event up at Brainerd, there were a bunch of exotic cars, they decided to do rolling start drag races, I ended up in the round before the semi finals against the Viper that won the one lap of america that year, and was putting out over 800 hp. I got the run setup so I was redline in 2nd gear and he was somewhat off the cam, and got lucky and beat him. Unfortuneately I drew a yelow turbo from the family that was putting on the event and got my ass spanked.
