Tobacco Oud is still listed on the UK Tom Ford site, but only in 50ml, which could be a sign. Here in The Netherlands it keeps getting restocked in stores. By the way, Oud Wood and Tuscan Leather seem to have been reformulated recently, and I think it is due to the butylphenyl methylpropional, which got banned here on March 1st. They disappeared from sites for a few days and now they are back without that particular ingredient. (There is an article about that stuff on Fragrantica under Raw Materials.)

Neither TF Tobacco Oud nor Gucci Intense Oud is discontinued in the UK. Can't speak about the US but had a chat with a sales associate this week at John Lewis here in Lodon, and she said that stock level often fluctuates because of manufacturer reasons but the fragrance is not discontinued for sure. I keep seeing videos for 3-4 years coming up on youtube about Gucci IO being discontinued and it's still around in 2022. Glad it is and hope it stays around for many more years to come. I love this scent.
I bought a backup bottle of Tobacco Oud last year when I heard it was discontinued. I actually prefer Tobacco Oud Intense and was able to pick up a 100ml bottle a couple months ago from an Australian retailer.
Great to share about Rakuten. They periodically do 10% at Bloomingdales which is nice to line-up with Bloomingdales own offers, like spend $200 and get $50 coupon etc.
I bought a bottle of Gucci Intense Oud for $130.00 from Fragrancebuy and felt so lucky to find it. It’s a pretty good website for hard to find /recently discontinued perfumes.

Hi Lynn. When did you get your newer bottle of Gucci "Intense Oud"? Is your newer bottle a reformulated version, and, if so, is it still good?
Gucci Intense Oud is one of the best designer frags out there.
This is one of my favorites from the house. Now that I think about it I can't imagine it selling that well in the signature line. You kind of have to be a die hard frag head to appreciate it.
I love Rakuten. Use it all the time and the savings add up. Also nice to stack with sales and cash back with credit cards.
Just got back from London, bought Tobacco Oud at Harrod's in the Salon de PArfum, there seems to be stock in all the boutiques there, TO Intense is gone sadly.
The best TF store is in the Piazza-Covent Garden, they still have Italian Cypress, Bois Marocain, Arabian Wood and Amber Absolute available as decants in the 50ml TF travel atomizer for £400.

I love Tobacco Oud. I first time I smelled it, I physically recoiled. When I tried it on my skin I thought it was dirty and even embarrassing, but I could not stop smelling it. It got stuck in my brain for a few days, and then I had to have it. I bought two bottles, and now I sometimes just spray a little at night just for fun. It makes me think about exotic places, and the "dirty" note smells like animalistic lust and sex. It is porn in a bottle, lol.

Selfridges was incredible in 2020 and before as their prices were quite low on a lot of brands. In 2021 they upped all of their prices and now there’s often minimal difference between the US and UK (Le Labo 50ml used to be $120 on there!)

Etat libre d orange,histoire de parfum,Frederic malle, christian dior boutique (they have exclusives), diptique (flagship store on rue 34), kilian flagship store (very close to jovoy and they have exclusives), im sure there are others but thats just off the top of my head. Jovoy is nice because its a perfume shop that carries a lot of different houses (maison), but they dont carry everything if that makes sense. Make sure to smell all of the map of the heart perfumes while in jovoy as thats one of the very few places that you can smell them before buying ( i bought version 2 smoky and sweet). If theres a long line to enter ther louvre ( and you better go lol) go through the back entrance. Day trip to monets garden is nice also. Just be mindful that a lot of the city as a tourist trap but stores damn near give away wine,cheese,and baguettes ( great for snacks and picnics). Also, the croissants are amazing and dont forget to bring me back some. I went allover france for a whole month back in June of last year as soon as it opened up. Was amazing to have almost the whole country with very little tourists acting like tourists. Have fun and dont forget my croissants...
Also, some of the maison offer perfumery workshops where you make your own perfume. I know 100% for sure that histoire de parfum offers it, but we didnt decided not to participate as we already did the workshops in grasse at galimard and molinard. Its anywhere from 50-200 euro and worth it if your into perfumes.
Maitre Parfumeur & Gantier’s shop is a walking distance from Jovoy. You should also definitely go to Printemps as they have a new floor dedicated to niche perfumery (in the Maison/Beauté/Enfant building on rue de Provence), and brands you won’t find at Jovoy (which remains my top spot in Paris though). On top of this, the Printemps store has an most of the ground floor dedicated to high end designer brands as well, so pretty good assortment. Do check Boadicea The Victorious, Stephane Humbert Lucas and Matière Premiere there if you can on 1st floor (which hosts the niche brands). From there you can go to Galeries Lafayette’s main building which has a great selection of brands - although slightly less niche than Printemps. It’s across the street so you might as well give it a try.
I would also second going to Dior Parfums on Champs Elysees (separate from the main Dior fashion store which is a bit further up); this one is one of the last few places where you can get and sample the fabled Mitzah, Eau Noire, Vetiver and Granville *if you specifically ask for them*. From there you are then walking distance from the Chanel Parfums store, Louis Vuitton, Guerlain, Vilhelm, Parfums de Marly etc. Enjoy

Absolutely LOVE Tobacco Oud. It's my fave from private blends. Even after we got to hear that it's getting discontinued i still saw bottles here and there. Not sure if it's actually discontinued or not. Since Sephora here in my city didn't even know it's discontinued. I dont think this same scent profile can come to signature line either but what i can imagine is bringing out some new fragrance where it has some of the notes or accords present in TO. Giving a new name and repackaged. Or they can modify and launch it as a private blend only. I'll be happy if they dont axe this beauty! Also Do you know that many people saying there is a shortage of Tobacco Vanille bottles ? i found it same for 50 ml bottles. Hope it stays man.

I bought Gucci Intense Oud a couple of years ago. I like it but don't wear it very often because it's too powerful! It lasts a very long time and is mostly for formal occasions that I never go to and I only bought it to try oud.
Thanks for this video Sebastian. Tobacco Oud is my favorite Tom Ford scent. I still have at least a half a bottle left but use it sparingly because of it being discontinued. I do not see this fragrance being in the original line, but then again, one of his mainstream fragrances, Black Orchid has always been in that line and lots of people think that is a skanky scent. So who knows, anything is possible.

Hi Sebastian. Is your new bottle of Gucci "Intense Oud" a newer bottle? I haven't tried it yet (i.e. any formulation) but I've heard that it's been reformulated. Is yours is a reformulated bottle, and, if so, is it as good as it once was? I'm heavily thinking about buying it today, so I am wondering about how you think of the current formulation.
Tabacco Oud is still available and it will be produces for Germany and Austria as long as I know.
when it disappeared domestically, i picked-up a back-up bottle of Tobacco Oud from... you guessed it... Selfridges. what is wrong with my nose that 'dirty' perfumes simply smell 'normal' to me? i must love that dirt!
