There's no point trying to find English food in Luton as you'd have to go to an English town for that. (Just in case you're not aware, despite many towns being geographically located on English land, they couldn't be further from being an actual English town.) In fact, to be accurate, you should really remove the English flag fron your past few titles as many would see it as an insult to use it when the content of all your England videos has such little relation to anything English. There's plenty of stunning English places and people to enjoy so it's a shame you've missed out on experiencing England. The UK is in a terrible and depressing state. Immigration is ruining everywhere it touches. Look at videos of London and the UK in the 50s and 60s, it was gorgeous and demonstrates what real British culture is from native British people. It's just facts
Edinburgh is expensive liken it to Henley on Thames where a bottle of Coke is £6 same price as in Windsor. Although Windsor being in the list might have something to do with Slough and it's fabulous town planning from the 50's....

Maybe only because I had a chance to start a good life there with good friends around somewhere between 2005 and 2012. Now I am back to Poland but Luton is simply my second home. Maybe is rough, maybe is downgrading, but memories are still there. Greetings!
I flew from Luton to Warsaw, when I came back it felt like I was in the 3rd world. The guy in Luton airport Costa spoke worse English than the girl in the Costa in Warsaw airport, barely intelligible. Same for the woman checking tickets for Nat Ex coaches outside, she actually got snotty because I (native Brit) could barely understand her. Walked out the door and it was strew with litter, disgusting, full of unhappy rude people. The road was used as a pavement with some kind of dirty marquee walkway cover thing, as the pavement was in disrepair. I had zero interest in seeing any more of Luton.

What about Tesco in the Mall. Did you not walk past that? There's liddle... But you may not class's that, farm foods, Iceland are outs3. Upstairs inth the mall is Robbie tea shop... Growing up in Luton was great!! 60s 70s !! We t downhill about 1975 when got overrun by foreigners and the English and Irish living there moved out!! Lots to Hertfordshire and London suburbs!! Muslims overran it But still good infrastructure !! The mall is frequented by mainly people who live outside of Luton otherwise that would close and I know what I'm talking about!!

I would think that very few people would come from elsewhere to shop in the Mal; it's full of second-rate shops for people who can't afford any better.
I was brought up there and regularly attended Kenilworth Road in the late 60s/70s. It was a great place to be. Car factories, lots of work and a PROPER market where the Arndale monstrosity is now. The shops in George street and the streets off it, were varied and many. The circus used to come into town and the Elephants etc paraded through the town, and walked up Farley hill to Stockwood park. The town centre was lively (occasionally violently so!) at the weekends with pubs all the way From the Clarence next to the Town Hall all the way down to the Blacksmiths in Park Street. A pub crawl and a half, as was High Town. It's sad to see what it has become. Taylors Estate agents is one of the few of the old pieces of architecture left.
I from Scotland. I support Forfar Athletic FC, in Scotland 🏴. As as a kid I had a soft spot for Luton Town FC. Capacity is 12,056😊 Enjoyed the video.😊
If you'd got a day return ticket you would of paid about the same amount but including the return journey as long as it was the same day... this discount applies to most if not all of UK trains
Luton for many immigrants is definitely an improvement as far as infrastructure, opportunities for employment, etc The Tate brothers have had huge success and choose to live wherever they like so it is completely two different perspectives. Great vid.
At least they are willing to stick it out to the end and bring money into the town; while their politicians sold out a lot of their jobs over seas If its anything, with poorer areas, is you'll always immigrants willing to stay behind and try to startup a business of some kind. YOu'll know for sure if its a bad part of town if you don't see any of them behind lol; thats a good sign infrastructure is failing badly without money /taxes/opportunities supporting the system
I grew up in Luton and it's not that bad the way you're describing it, 36 years in Luton and it's the safest town to live in plus if you have a positive mindset about it then everything is just fine in Luton tbh.
You came to a Town I know very well. Had I known you were coming I would have happily showed you around. Don't believe the gossip many worse places around. Lots of good people here too. You needed a host with a car to show you about!! Are you still in the UK?
Lived in Luton all my life changed beyond belief barely here anyone speaking English drunks and druggies hanging around the town, parts have been colonised by the big Asian community making it a no go area the only good thing is the airport, by the way London is a very unsafe place now as well.
I am from Portugal, born and raised. I moved here to Luton in 2016, and to be fair, it's a nice town. There is a lot of diversity, so it's great! Everyone can be happy on their own terms. I just hope it won't have been so much as it's now a lot of stabbing and drug related crimes. The government should do something about the children and teenagers to have more structure in schools and at home also, so they can be raised to be a better man or a better women and don't fall in the hands of the crime.
i was in Birmingham late April, went to the Chelsea at Aston Villa Match, great game and all, but like in this video, the towns all around the area we were staying definitely makes you feel like UK is one step from collapse and it's amazing how nobody talks about this
Sick of people slagging off Luton, like what are you expecting? It's just a normal town, if anything it's got way more going for it then say, Bedford or - god forbid, Watford (Groan) I mean, he should've got the budget bus to Dunstable now that is a town that deserves the title crap, hole, got literally 0 going for it!
Luton's small but still better than many other places in the UK. It has a good transport infrastructure e.g. airport, bus station, train station, taxi services. It has many schools, a university, libraries, a hospital. It has a mall, it's not like an American mall with an amusement/entertainment area (it used to have an amusement/entertainment area near McDonald's) but it's fit for purpose. There is the Galaxy centre. Life is relatively cheaper compared to London. It has a diverse community and celebrates its diversity with annual carnivals. I've been to far worse places.
To be fair if you get a railcard for a one-off £30 it gives you money off for a whole year. If you don't get one, it's your own problem. They are available to all.
honestly I see luton, looks a lot better than most of our "rural" poor conservative desolate/barren areas in the US, especially in the south/midwest, where im from :( But they do share the same issues, not much is going for them.
Yes because this is a city with 200k people. For a city with this size its extremely boring and dead. England is also full of rural towns that have decaying buildings etc etc
The town centre he was showing looked good to me, nice people clean streets, not one boarded up shop, the Mall was all open and busy, the streets were clean and well paved too. The men eating the fried stuff with the pigeons around I don't think they wanted to feed the pigeons but in the uk we are trying to avoid using single use plastic food containers so they used fingers. Luton looked nice.
Many places are run down like this though ... Not just Luton. I think when you've holidayed in places in like Dubai and you come back you feel depressed.
born and raised in luton... basically the place isnt brilliant its grey and boring... but to call it the worst place is abit of a stretch... ive been to far worse places in the uk... there are some nice areas to live which arent that bad... granted theres not much if anything at all to do here but its easy to get out of to places you can do things with the airport, train links and your on the m1... theres plenty of nice places a 5 minute drive from luton to live... live in one of them nice places and have an airport on your doorstep... its honestly not that bad really
I am English, my company had a convention 25 years ago in Luton. We all had company cars with nice radios and mobiles . we all parked in the hotel car park with cameras for security. Every car lost its radio and anyone who left their phones in the car had them stolen too. So since then I have a horror of Luton. Imagine 12000 people in that area on match day. Trash is everywhere in UK. Buen provecho. I used to used the hotel Tamanaco in Caracas.
You want to see crap places in the UK, Jaywick in Essex. People have one eye, drag their left leg and talk bollox!!! Mind you, Luton isn't far behind!!! Enjoy your stay in the UK. Try some nicer cities such as Cambridge, Oxford, Norwich, York to name a few.
I commented on your other UK video, but if you want to come up to Bradford for a proper tour, let me know 🤣 I didn't dare mention the place last time as it might've scared you off. But since you've managed to come out of Luton alive you should survive Bradford 🤣

13:13 that used to be an old railway bridge - the town used to have 3 railway lines going through it. That ended in the 60s, they kept the old rusting bridges for another 40 years...

The UK is in a terrible and depressing state.
Immigration is ruining everywhere it touches.

It's just facts

Who the hell came up with that top 50 worst place to live in Britain and put Edinburgh in it!!!!
And Windsor
Right!
Edinburgh is expensive liken it to Henley on Thames where a bottle of Coke is £6 same price as in Windsor.
Although Windsor being in the list might have something to do with Slough and it's fabulous town planning from the 50's....
There are extremely rich and beautiful places in England and there are poor places in England.
Sorry I have not got 2 million to live in a rich area.
Same here in France
Sadly, this is a fair representation of most towns in the UK.
That's not true.
Far from it mate

I Lived in Luton for a number of years and loved it growing up. It's never been glamorous, but it's sad to see the Odeon cinema in such disrepair (opposite McDonalds). I even worked at that McDonalds you passed on George Street. Great to see your take on some of the areas I used to hang out in a daily basis. I'm not a Luton Town FC supporter, but I have to be proud of what a club as small as Luton town FC has achieved in actually making it to the Premier league. That old stadium a Kenilworth road is a reminder of their roots. Great honest review brother.
I think he is being harsh. it is a fine stadium great on match day
@@patrickcassidy8543 But is not a premier league quality stadium. I get the emotional attachment the fans will have for KWR. But it has to be time to move on.
I'm genuinely sorry you had to grow up here.
There was never an Odeon Cinema opposite McDonalds; it was on Dunstable Road, not too far from the stadium.
@@paulspittel1924 I remember the one on Dunstable road too, I thought the cinema on George street was also an Odeon. Apparently it was a Savoy.

The mass migration is just destroying all of Europe

You mean Pakistani cities!! Luton is full of Pakistanis, not Indians!!
Is that supposed to be some sort of consolation.
Strange.
Only thing is different avout london is that uk and its economy going down unlike india 😂 london religious demography is changing aswell as natives by illegal immigrants unlike india 😂 high rates , drugs , crime 😂 we arent facing that much as compared to uk 😂 lol get a life 😂
Literally what I was thinking....what an odd comment
To be honest, every city can be presented like this. I know thing might bye though to swallow; but Luton is actually has one of the best communities I ever seen. Maybe only because I had a chance to start a good life there with good friends around somewhere between 2005 and 2012. Now I am back to Poland but Luton is simply my second home. Maybe is rough, maybe is downgrading, but memories are still there. Greetings!
I agree. Luton is better than some other towns.
Things have changed since you were here
I flew from Luton to Warsaw, when I came back it felt like I was in the 3rd world.
What shall I check out in Luton?! I don't know, no one knows 😄 That was funny.
You walked past the first British food shop in the shopping centre - Greggs

Been there years, the Golden Griddle, downstairs is Muffin Bar, the pancake place round corner by Peacocks. Do I guess Costa coffee and Starbucks don't count? Growing up in Luton was great!! 60s 70s !! We t downhill about 1975 when got overrun by foreigners and the English and Irish living there moved out!! Lots to Hertfordshire and London suburbs!! Muslims overran it
But still good infrastructure !!
The mall is frequented by mainly people who live outside of Luton otherwise that would close and I know what I'm talking about!!
Why did the English and Irish move out? Wouldn't it just make it more worse. No pride for their town.

Material improvement is not everything.

So true. Looks like a friendly town; people are prepared to engage in conversation with visitors.
Love Luton.
UK transport is an absolute rip off
To be fair if you get a railcard for a one-off £30 it gives you money off for a whole year. If you don't get one, it's your own problem. They are available to all.

Yes because this is a city with 200k people. For a city with this size its extremely boring and dead. England is also full of rural towns that have decaying buildings etc etc
Luton has a lot of nice areas. The town centre and bury park where the stadium is are not them.
