I’ll be honest, my wife thinks I seek confrontation, but I do my utmost to avoid it. What I don’t do is cower, but try to seem confident, while evaluating the best compromise / diffuse opportunity, and way out. She can talk anyway, she’s always on the front foot confronting me!! 😂😂😂
Diffuse, evade, escape are the first steps in any dicey situation. If you're jumping into a fight/situation without first thinking of these steps you might be part of the problem. That said, if you've give through that and there is still a threat if bodily harm or death to you or others you need to be able to defend yourself or others and have the confidence that you can do so. Just my opinion.

@@brandongoede5907 Ultimately what I find fascinating about EDC is that it's a glimpse into their lifestyle and what they think is important for their day-to-day life.
Aside from the potential for serious injury or death (on all sides), there's the wretchedly expensive side of things to where one might permanently lose their home (or go into even more debt) and whatever else it costs to mount an effective legal defense. If one's life and/or the lives of their loved ones are on the line, so be it. But to suffer possibly permanent financial wreckage (and make one's family suffer for years) due to an ego-driven conflict that could easily have been avoided? NOPE.

Yup, I have a family to support. You won’t catch me in a confrontation unless there isn’t another way out.
I don’t think it’s toxic to confront a situation, but something that needs to happen within any assessment of a situation you find yourself is allowing it to mature to make the best possible decision; be it to engage or disengage

There’s a difference between toxic masculinity and not walking away from helping somebody who is victimized. But then again, here in the Netherlands we don’t have as many people carrying guns as you do over there.
