  • www.DrumSauce.com I needed a closed hi hat sound on the right side of my td30 kv kit and spent $100 to get the Roland BT-1 Bart Trigger Pad to do the job. Here's what you get in the packaging of the pad and what I used to set it up. I also do a quick test run with it. I hope you find it helpful.

How do you remove the spacer? Do I have to take unit apart? Want to mount it on a stand with a rod??

Great review! And I like the idea of using it as a second hihat.

When you turned off the camera to mount the rod adaptor, how did you do it? There are no holes for the screws (you use your drum key to turn) to attach the adaptor? Thanks.

you can set up a footswitch to 'close' your hi hat and set it to 'fixed' until you press the footswitch again...it's like a hihat clutch but using the footswitch..it's in the manual for the TD-30

+cresshead You're right. I don't want one in my setup though. Just a closed hi hat. You can also set it to open and close with your current hi hat that way you don't have more than a few pedals to work with down there. Thank you :-)

Great idea from them to incorporate something small and easy to put anywhere on the kit.. But still needing your V-drum brain could be a bit cumbersome.. would be neat to be able to link to an Ipad app or something and take up less space as a lot of working muscians have some sort of tablet these days.

The acoustic sound from hitting the pad is audible, so that's probably why
