Vince was right, it was logical to make a story about alcohol addiction.
To be honest. In a PG Era where there are kids that are impressionable, having a hero who adamantly denies to drink alcohol and the bad giy peer pressures him to try it whilst beating eachother up over it. Made me cheer for punk and never want to pick up alcohol ever as a kid. Ofcourse as an adult, that changes.
That’s an easy storyline to do with Punk though, and could have been used in a different feud. The tattoo thing is more unique, and a clear sign of disrespect. It would have been an interesting angle.
But the feud had nothing to do with that in the beginning?

I agree with Jericho, even if he's possibly the worst at everything else. Having Y2J tattooed on your body unwanted could seriously fuck with your head. Was Punk okay with it? Yes, but as far as I know he never said where he could put it. As Jericho said, anyone without tattoos wouldn't know how it is to have a tattoo on your body that you don't want. I'm sure Punk wouldn't cover it up because it's part of the storyline and he's a good sport all around. Was the alcohol story good, yes. But the tattoo could've been better given the proper care.

The alcohol story was DUMB pouring it on someone is not the same as ingesting it so he didn't make him drink it. More of a insult than a violation. The tattoo is VIOLATION and now u pay in pounds of flesh.

Maybe it was because that’s just a goofy ass idea 😂 not to mention that’s already been done before by Val Venis when he tattooed his initials on Prince Albert. Also, Punk has plenty of tattoos…what’s one more? Worst case he could get it covered. I think the alcohol was the way to go honestly as it was a lot more disrespectful and a better heel move.

I think promoting a positive community and lifestyle the few bad eggs aside is a far better product than promoting alcoholism which has killed people cost marriages and families etc. I don’t like Phil at all but he sticks to his guns on most topics.
