Really kool video bro. I just started goalkeeping like 6 months ago, I started from the bottom with no real skill, never played soccer in my life before, didn't even know the rules to the game, but I kept practicing and practicing and even would practice on my own when nobody wanted to help me and now I play for 2 leagues and coaches come up to me asking me to play for them, nothing is impossible, you just need passion and a strong will. Your video is really positive to help me train harder, keep up the good work bro. Best of luck!
Alonso Arellano cool comment man. I started playing for the first time at 28 years old. Like you, now I play in two leagues and teams always asking me to play with them. It was really tough, but if you fall in love with the game then you everything will fall into place. I got some vids on my channel, check em out.

This is some good training no doubt. I'm a keeper as well, currently playing overseas. Your technique is on point, you're very agile and very athletic. My only thoughts is this, it's not always possible to have a running start to generate power to make a diving save. For training purposes, it's fine, but in real games you are a bit more flat footed because anything can happen at any given second. I always try to simulate a game situation by standing in keeper ready position and exploding from that position. Those are my thoughts. From one keeper to another, great vid!
Hold Fast Goalkeeping I totally agree! technically and athletically good. i would also try making each activity more match realistic. Though he said he’s coming back to fitness, which i would say would be good as an aerobic activity.
there is defiantly lots i’ve learnt from this video from seeing a technically able keeper on a coaching video for once.

Hello Ari, I found your video inspiring. I've been playing and coaching soccer for a while and this season a friend and I took to training our 16 year old keeper for our U-18 team. He's good but he's about to get a whole lot better after he watches your video. Keep it up Ace.

Bro this is a great video, no doubt! The only thing I would like to add, this is coming from another keeper that has gone through a million training sessions, is that try to eliminate drills where you you know where the shooter is going. In the live game you have practically have no idea when and where to attacker will strike the ball. So the drills when you would just exchange shots from left to right, instead of sprinting across the goal every time slow down and have him shoot to a random side, not left then right then left again. Just trying to help out, no hate at all! Good video bro!
+Emmanuel Andrade yeah and on top of that have the shooter stand opposite of you (or vice versa) as opposed to him standing in front of the goal's corner and basically just passing it in in a straight line. that's also not how it is or at least should be ingame. you always postion yourself depending on where the ball is, thus most shots on goal are going away from you in a diagonal line. which in consequence means you as a goalkeeper are supposed to go forward 'into' the ball and take it as soon as possible

Hey man I'm also a gk, 12 years to be exact. I've played at good levels, professionally, and for the National Team. I also got injured but recovered well thankfully, hope you did too. I like the video and what you're trying to do. Not trying to hate or anything but I recommend you try working on striking the ball with your left foot & throw with your left as well. Like you said we help the team distribute and would help a lot more if you are evenly talented both left and right. In this video you worked on a lot of mid to high ball dives, don't forget the essentials and work on your driven low ball dives. Lastly you palmed the ball a lot to get it out but should work on holding on to the ball. I only say this because also had to recover and worked on all these things. Helped me a ton. God bless and hope you get back to good levels.

GK U-17 U-18 & U-20 US National team. Got called to the Mexican National team after I was already in residency for the U-17.

A few tips 1. When trying to catch the ball in the air make sure you have your knee high up aswell so you can protect yourself and make your self intimidating and 2. When stopping a low driven shot the gap between your legs are too wide so in case the ball slips out of your hands it's possible it will go through your legs which is embarsssing

awesome video, I can definitely see that you are a skilled goalkeeper and work really hard. I am a goalkeeper myself. However, for all of the shots you stopped, you gave the other team a corner or another chance to score a goal from those rebounds.

Training came in handy for reflexes in the hood when you dodge all those punches and need to run away. You got so much out of this training for sure!
anyone can run at a full sprint across goal to produce an explosive dive. it's a good training drill to get used to extension dives, but to make this more game like you need to get your feet set before the ball is struck. when you see the strikers foot go back, set your feet with weight distributed 50/50 on both feet. to keep yourself honest have the striker shoot the ball across your body if he sees you cheating (leaning to one side). if you can't make the adjustment and make the save from the direction you were running from then you're feet weren't set. Play the game, not the drill.

When making a scoop catch off the ground do not keep your legs stiff you want your knees to bent to keep your balance. Keeping stiff causes you to be unbalanced, remain with feet in a staggered position with knees slightly bent in case the ball takes an unexpected direction.
