I know that a ton of other people have already talked about this particular phenomenon... but the bandwagon felt too tempting and I had to check it out. Half of me is glad I got to see this work of art yet the other half is upset that I won't be getting a lick of sleep for quite some time. I think it’s the anti-Christ or a metaphor for how a lot of people use religion to hurt others

its just the boiled one torturing a affected person using traumatic events, its just using the history of the zamperini and watanabe to torture him, it could also be multiple of boiled ones as demons or something, since one of the messages was them being a species that would be pain and suffering.

so the Japanese text at 11:34 mentions Watanabe "The Bird", a war criminal who tortured POWs during WWII. one of the people who was tortured by him was Louis Zamperini, who eventually got over his PTSD of the event by becoming a christian evangelist (if any of this sounds familiar to you there was a movie called "Unbroken" made in 2014 about Louis Zamperini's experiences in the POW camp.)

I suspect that the "boiled one" is actually watanabe's soul somehow, and wanted to torment job aka louis Zamperini for the rest of his remaining life. Zamperini died in 2014, which means that if job was actually supposed to be louis, watanabe's soul tortured louis for 11 whole years.... yikes...
The theory I like is that the Boiled One is a manifestation of unresolved trauma and pain inflicted by Wantanabe and the likes of him on POW's and Chinese civillians during ww2.

i don’t know if someone thought this, but the boiled one talks in a way like a prophet, and he wears a spine crown on his head, like jesus, that if i remember right from the “catholic school” (i think that’s how it’s called) could heal really sick people (i think even coma), while the boiled one did the exact opposite, so maybe there is a connection. i don’t know if this count as a theory of some sort or i am just speculating, i just wanted to highlight some details that maybe aren’t so obvious (or i am just dumb and did’t seen them immediately). btw sorry for my bad english, it’s not my first language.

After I watched the video, the Boiled One actually appeared to me in dreams. It flooded my thoughts and vision and kept screaming at me in tongues beyond my comprehension. Then I thought very hard about beating it on the head with a squeaky rubber hammer while calling it a stinky stinker. It eventually went away, sounding extremely offended.

I'm a 24 and that video, or more accurately the "reversed clip" video where someone unreversed the reversed audio segment, kept me from sleeping well for a week. And from leaving my room at night without a flashlight for a month. I've been that scared only once before when I was ten years old.
I had a nightmare once in elementary school (I’m a college student, so this was definitely a while back) that I still remember. I don’t know where my mind had gotten the idea, but it was a normal dream until suddenly some ghost-like figure appeared like a literal jumpscare. Yeah, it was spooky, but what scared me about it to the point where I still remember it today halfway through college is the concept that once I saw it, it was in every single photo I looked at. This thing targeted that same kind of dreadful idea so it spooked me for a bit even though at the same time I think it’s kinda goofy.

I have experienced a two day long case of pseudocoma, I was only a child and it was spurred on due to a seizure. Though I only partially remember it. I know it was hellish, I don’t know if any of you have ever experienced it but you are essentially locked in your mind with only slight eye movements and other certain movements (case specific) being possible. It’s horrible, and I’m glad I don’t very well remember it. All I know is that my matka moved the tv to an angle where I could see it from my bed, thank you for reading all this yappage.
