    I live in a Paris apartment with a relatively small living room. I was looking to replace a very good but too cluttered hifi system that would cover both music and TV. I chose the B&O Sound Stage (oak finish) with an LG OLED TV and B & O stand. I won back lots of space, reduced clutter and overall love it for music and for movies. I gets lots of positive comments from visitors (My 20 year old nephew was blown away that there were touch controls embedded in the wood finish). Satisfied customer.

    Just a note. B&O has been doing multi-room audio since the 80's and maybe even longer. Back then it was of course wired, but I am sure they also have the wireless in control as I write this.

    In my opinion, the Beosound Stage sounds much better with music than the Sonos. Much more detail and a nice pure homogeneous sound with a good stereo spread for a soundbar. With film, the Sonos has a deeper bass, but here too the Beosound Stage sounds better in terms of detail, voices and surround effect.

      Agreed, music playback is slightly better than the Arc. When you add the Sub to the Arc it does help the clarity massively as a lot of the lower frequencies are directed to the SUB therefore enhancing the mids, treble & vocals on the Arc.

    OK a couple of things....the unit doesn't accept optical, as stated in the review. And there IS dialogue enhancement; it's under Content Processing. This works very very well indeed in either Off, Low or High. This is an excellent soundbar, I give it 10/10.

    You can have a subwoofer with it. If you have a smart TV that pushes your audio through arc, you can also use the RCA or optical out to go to a separate amp to push a subwoofer.

    • @smarthomesounds
      @smarthomesounds  3 года назад

      Hi Sascha, I would recommend keeping the soundbar mounted beneath the TV as that is it's intended position. I can't guarantee whether the results would be good if the soundbar was placed above the TV. Of course, room shape and size does play a significant part and by positioning it above the TV, this will not help. Thanks for watching!

    • @tuomas_h
      @tuomas_h 3 года назад +2

      In Bang & Olufsen speakers (can't speak for other brands) loudness is not a simple, fixed bass and treble boost that's either on or off - if it was, I would agree with you. The human ear is relatively less sensitive to bass and treble at lower sound pressure levels, and the purpose of this setting is to automatically compensate for that - it varies based on the volume setting, as it should. I really see no downside in using it.
