      Vishrut Iyengar I don’t fully know as I don’t have one and I can’t find a store where it’s quiet enough to even get a decent idea of what the sennheiser is capable of. One thing I do absolutely know is that the Beosound Stage is waaaay better looking and also quite a bit cheaper, last time I looked the sennheiser was almost twice the price too.

    Hi everyone, BIG thanks to B&O Ter Horst in Utrecht for making this possible!!! links to all his things are in the description, so if you could do me a favour and subscribe to his insta, facebook etc that would be wonderful of you! Also, don't forget to tell me what you think about the new Beosound Stage down here in the comments, are you getting one? If you could spare me like that would help me out a lot and subscribe because the next video will have even more Beosound Stage music in it and soundtesting :D

    Next day. I made the HDMI ARC connections. My Direct TV remote worked perfectly. No pairing or going into the TV menu needed.
    It was already setup for my Sonos Playbar.
    I’m using it on my Samsung TV.
    Also works perfectly when I switch to the Apple TV on a second HDMI.
    I will look for the cable cutouts you mentioned.
    Instructions and the App are a disgrace.
    I had never used HDMI ARC before, and would have been lost on the connections if I didn’t have my Sonos Playbar Ethernet connections to follow.
    The Playbar doesn’t have HDMI but the Ethernet setup was identical.

    • @paulstein9258
      @paulstein9258 4 года назад +2

      If you get the app working, I finally did, there is a setting in the app. You click vertical or horizontal. Again, no instructions. One minor issue, still. When I turn on my TV, the speaker takes 30 to 60 seconds to start. You can get up and push the buttons. During that period, the TV speaker shows on the TV. The B&O then takes over and shows on the TV screen.
      One thing I discovered and it’s great. I got a few google nest minis. I have a subscription to google play. In setting the nests up, I names them. In searching for devices, the Google Home app identified the B&O. I named it family room. I just tell the nest to play whatever I want on “family room.” Fantastic. No messing with Bluetooth.

    Hi! Great review.. question: i have an open space 50sqm. Is the integrated bass enough for the open space? I had before a Harman K enchance 1300 + sub and the sound was full. Im worried due to the biggest size of the room and open space

    • @Mikipedia
      @Mikipedia  2 года назад +2

      I'd say so yes. This was filmed in space that is around ~110m2 and even 10 meter away the bass was very full. I have mine in my bedroom which is around 16m2 and it's such overkill that we barely ever even approach 50% volume. B&O benchmarked it to out compete the sonos playbar and sub together and I think they did just that :D

    I need some information about it.
    This sound bar is more for movie and tv ? what about for audio listening ? Is it suitable for ? Or is it better to have for example KEf Ls50 with amplifier ?
    Thanks

    • @Mikipedia
      @Mikipedia  4 года назад +3

      It's for both and you get the best result if you choose the correct sound preset. the movie and music sound preset change the sound of the Stage wildly and it sounds amazing in both instances in that case. I have no experience with the kef's but this sound bar truly does it all in a much smaller package. hope that helps?

    Hello again. Since vertical mounting this on the top shelf is out, due to the unbalanced speaker, I contacted B&O to ask if laying it flat degrades the sound. They replied, contact a dealer and have an installation tech come out. More $$$$.
    By the way, my review is now published on Amazon.

    • @Mikipedia
      @Mikipedia  4 года назад +1

      I can't find your review or any for that matter. And I sent you the link for the vertical mounting options for on a table that is stable and very well made, it's up to you where you want that or not. The Beosound Stage is not made out of the box to stand up straight by itself, it's either for hanging on the wall straight and or lay flat on a table. In both ways you can set it up for which ever way and the DSP will change the sound direction and speaker usage accordingly, the sound will stay the same in almost all cases with in a few percent and that's basically inaudible. You don't need a dealer to do any of this, so there are 3 choices: 1- get the vertical mounting bracket from STBbrackets and have it how you say you want it. 2- wallmount it so it's up straight. 3- have it lay flat. It's up to you to pick one.

    • @paulstein9258
      @paulstein9258 4 года назад

      My review is on Amazon sound. It was held up until it went on sale. The full app finally and mysteriously showed up on my IPhone. In the App it asks it it is being used tabletop or wall mounted. I pressed the tabletop button. Couldn’t B&O have told me that?
      In the vertical position, used as a soundbar, the sound is much better as it is directional. In the horizontal position, used for music, it doesn’t make any difference. Nice fill the room sound.
      I am using the Ethernet connection. Someone mentioned it has some internet music streaming. One time, during hookup, I apparently got the internet streaming and heard a non English speaking voice and some music. Can’t find any instructions on getting them. Not a real problem. I subscribe to google for my music.

    • @Mikipedia
      @Mikipedia  4 года назад +3

      @@paulstein9258 They did tell you that, many times. In all the material it's either wall mounted or flat on it's back called table top. Nowhere is it ever showed as standing on it's side ever. I don't know why you would stand it upright anyway on a decorative piece anyway in case of scratching etc. and if you ever change the direction you have to look at a scratch...
      Also the table top stand I sent you from STBbrackets consists of a metal stand with bolts to mount it solid in the back and two rubber feet for the ends to keep it level(just in case), so not very cheap and not very accurate.
      Also the reason screws are not provided is that not all walls are the same and if you use wood screws in gypsum/plasterboard, for instance, they will corrode over time and then it could just fall off the wall at some point.
      And yes, Internet streaming is built in. You can use Chrome cast, Airplay, Deezer, Qplay, Bluetooth and TuneIn. TuneIn is a free internet radio service and Deezer/Qplay are like spotify so that explains itself. You can control them all either via the app or with TuneIn you can select your favorite station and it'll start up automatically when you switch to that source. In the app at the bottom of the product page there is even a tab for a whole expanded support page/user manual.

      Why would you use bluetooth over Airplay or ChromeCast? or the built in streamer or spotify connect?! I don't get it. Do you need that few watts more power savings or do you need that little more distance for connecting? BT 4.2 works in my place to easily 15 meters away and all my walls are concrete....

    I really like B&O stuff but I think their prices are crazy. $1,000 is pushing and any more than that forget about it.

      I don't know what to say to that other than it's competing in a range of product that are at an equal price or more, but that may not be everyone's cup of tea. :p

    nice videos, have you considered using a better mic for recording these short videos? using the \shty one now doesn't do any justice to your merchendise. I'm not at all convinced by this video that that speaker has any fidelity whatsoever.
