This is not for escape, the mind does not ‘turn off’. These videos allow the mind to travel round-trip back in time, and the heart rides shotgun. And the way Dave does these vids are the perfect formula.
@@Mandi2727 I’m glad it resonated that way for you, too ❤️. Can’t imagine what it would be like not to have these treasures to view. Even the soul needs its own medicine, therapy, care, or vacation.
So from the shows advertised for fall programming and the Labor Day commercial, this probably aired in Aug 1994, so almost exactly 30 years ago. Man, I'd be starting up football practice of my freshman year of high school. Takes me back... Thanks again for a wonderful, nostalgia filled video Dave!
The taco bell jingles always makes me feel like im home again 🥹. Because it takes me back to those simple nights of watching tv. Thanks for these great 90s ads Dave
Who needs a time traveling phone booth or a time traveling DeLorean when we have Dave and his nostalgic Channel to take us back in time with his awesome compilations? No matter which decade or which part of the Country the commercials came from, I know that Dave's gonna crank out some instant classics(he always does). On that note, another great video in the books Dave 👍🏽😎👍🏽📺📼
Those retro computers were fire, but Circuit City was a ripoff with employees earning commision, so instead of helping customers they did their damndest to push customers to buy more expensive products than what they really needed, or wanted, so they earned more commision.
Dave I want to thank you for posting all these awesome videos. I have horrible depression and your videos distract me and make me feel better for a bit. I appreciate you and your hard work !
1:01 Zima was a clear, lightly carbonated alcoholic beverage made and distributed by the Coors Brewing Company. Introduced in 1993, it was marketed as an alternative to beer, an example of what is now often referred to as a cooler, with 4.7-5.4% alcohol by volume. Its production in the United States ceased in October 2008
Hahaha, a Zima commercial. Even was, like, 5 or 6 all I heard about Zima was that it tastes like shit. It's funny that when I guess whether something is a fragrance ad, I always get it right. Five seconds in and they make no goddamn sense. I really need to look up more Japanese commercials.
These commercials are way more creative than what you see now days. Today, it’s all high budget sets and equipment. Back then, they made golden content with what they had. Today, it’s over-produced and not as thoughtful.
Jesus take me back please. I was 19 making $18 an hour and felt like a millionaire. Now I make $44 an hour and have never felt so broke in my life trying to keep up with increases on a daily basis.
This was peak civilization. Period.
Truth.
You bet. Miss these times so bad
Damn right! ❤

Back in the day Madison WI had a Circuit City directly across the street from a Best Buy. Twas glorious.
In Racine WI and the two stores were literally right next to each other. Shared the same sidewalk 😂
Circuit City was too expensive. I remembered my first TV. That TV was expensive. I bought it in 1991. It was a 19-inch TV for $335.00.

"Kids with firecrackers" I've heard that coverup before.
You can't FOIA kids because they're underage.
Seaquest? Stargate underwater?
The irony of blocking ads to watch ads. The hubris. The hypocrisy. I laugh at you Google Ads!
