Going by one of the local 4th of July ads, & when Tina Turner was on the cover of People Weekly for Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome(release for the movie was Wed. July 10th 1985), these ads are dated to the first week of July 1985, so I was just turning 4 years old, had a McDonald's 4th of July b-day, & with WBBQ 104.3 FM on the radio doing their 4th of july music(a tradition throughout the 80's) in time with the local fireworks over the Savanna River that night. Thanks for taking me back to a better simpler time Dave!! 😊👍🇺🇸🎆
Thanks for another great trip down memory lane Dave! I can’t wait until tomorrow night! I hope you say more weird things I can put on the quote webpage! LOL
Was slice soda good for those of u that had it. I've not heard of it. I miss Sierra mist, it had real sugar in it, the only lemon lime soda that tasted good. 7up, sprite & starry all taste like crap due to high fructose corn syrup.
Cheesy as they are, I appreciate the effort that went into some 80s commercial jingles. 5:41 - 5:52 I know jack about cars, but that vehicle's ugly as shit. Wendy's had omelets once upon a time? Something tells me that didn't last long. 40:35 - 41:32 I guarantee you if that ad was made in the late 90s or early 2000s there's a "joke" about some of those old men falling asleep on the bench or someone falling a breaking a hip.
Dear Dave: > > > That video which you and your staff has just posted has the 1980’s Jack In The Box television commercial with (former child star-turned-radio host) Rodney Allen Rippy. Do you know the exact year that the commercial was aired? That Jack In The Box TV commercial - shown at the “1:02” mark - must have aired only in California's Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. It was never aired anywhere else in the United States. If you have the answer, please let me know about it, and have the information shown on the web page. > > > I thank you for your attention.

80's Vibe
Good to know that Heath candy is included as "wholesome" 🍫 I will inform my dietitian 😄
Oh wow, Thanks Martin Sheen!
I totally wouldn't have known what to drink without your epicly grave and crisp voice to help me decide!
Another great set as always. Thanks Dave! You're the man! 👍🏼📺💯
It's always great when these commercials spark a dormant memory. Thanks, Dave.
Another awesome retro evening with Dave's Archives! Thanks Dave
You got the look 👀 Thanks Dave!

$3.69 for the entire meal? Those were the days.
You can still buy a meal that cheap… at the Dollar Store lol. (The ones that sell food.) But I don’t recommend it!
3.69 was a lot of money in the 80s
Nowadays a burger or chicken sandwich is higher than 3.69. not including fries or soda
Never stop Dave
Dave is the GOAT and provides the closest thing to time travel. 🥹❤
Yes indeed, another awesome trip through Nostalgiaville in the books. Tubular video Dave 👍🏽😎👍🏽 📺 📼
I like it the way it was! Breaks pencil*
This really rings true today 😂
Wow back when you could openly mock the competitors in your commercials!
AT&T long distance calling to West Germany...so crazy how much things have changed.
Finally, an upload from you in the 4:3 aspect ratio!

Dave bringing the goods! Thanks mi-amigo ✌️📼🧈

6:09 who eats a hard taco like that? lmao
If youre hungry you don't care how you eat, just getting the food in, Is all that matters
Food looks like it tasted way better back then than now 😅 😔
Nice thumbnail pic. I'm about to enjoy Whopper Wednesday 🍔
Did u get onion rings or fries with it 😊

These ads sure are making me hungry Dave! (proceeds to enjoy a snickers with a diet coke)
27:06 Nice 80s 3D vector graphics
4:03 That's Richard Christie, who portrayed Ted Lawson on Small Wonder.
3:59 looked a loooot like Bryan Cranston 😂
35:40 "germs" 🤣
That itchy witch was creepy as hell!
I wish jack in the box was nationwide. I've traveled thru twenty states, never seen one anywhere
34:01 When you realize the Berlin Wall still has not fallen during this time... Wow there was still a West and an East Germany
I remember..
Holy shit that lanacane commercial was off the chain!
I liked it
Bryan Cranston in the National Enquirer ad at 3:34
Good stuff Dave
True, $6.99 doesn't get you anything now a days. You need to take out a loan to order several pizza pies
40:36 why is the music so beautiful… ??
Time to taste the biscuit and have a succulent Chinese meal! 🍔 🍟🌮🥡🥤🧋
That lady at 6:00 La Especial eats tacos like she's..... well, you'll figure it out..
How much O'Keeffe is in this commercial compilation anyway? Miles O'Keeffe!
Way before i could comprehend what a commercial was lol. But comforting nonetheless
Different vibes...something happened at the turn of the century...we have been going downhill consistently
Colombian goods can stop the time , for sure . Trust me , I know ...
Never heard of fruzen glaje ice cream. It must be related to haagen dazs
Funny how back when, we wanted no commercials now they bring up comfort and joy of the past. At least we were blasted with drug and lawyers who sue.

99¢ for a burger?!
The variety of textures in the kislux pack is impressive. From smooth leather to textured suede, there's something for everyone.
