I genuinely think the Incredibles 75% audience score is a mistake. I’ve never met a single person in my life who didn’t like the incredibles, so I find it really hard to believe 1/4 of the RT audience didn’t like it
Honestly would be more interesting. Each of these studios have one golden decade and then a smattering of good movies outside of that. Like for Disney, basically any movie outside the Renaissance will deservedly get creamed by any of those. Hercules or Notre Dame would beat anything outside that era - Encanto, Moana, Tangled, Ralph, Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and on. The top 7 movies in Disney history may all just be Renaissance (Mulan, Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Hercules, and Notre Dame). That probably is my Disney top 7 in some order. But even that decade had stinkers. And there are lots of stinkers in any other decade. With Pixar, that stretch between Toy Story 2 to Toy Story 3 had maybe one average movie in Cars and one more above average movie in Up. Everything else is goated. But outside that decade, Inside Out and Coco are the only movies I’d put in that high end tier and I don’t like either of them as much as the classics. They’ve had plenty of other good movies but nothing else on that tier. They have had some bad ones though and some that are just okay. So that would be fun.
It truly is a travesty that Wall-E was eliminated in the first round as it's not only my favorite Pixar movie, but one of my favorite movies in general. But Pixar knows how to deliver, and The Incredibles is probably my second favorite of their catalogue. They sure know their stuff!
I disagree with Sean saying it’s the king of animated films though. The king of Disney films is fair, but all animated films? There’s some that clear it
@@Yoshi-h4b I mean, of course quality-wise everything's subjective, but when it comes to influential & box office juggernauts that also have cross-generational appeal and this level of critical acclaim... it's certainly in the conversation at the very least.

It’s really a shame that Ratatouille 🐀 got knocked out of the first round. Honestly that is easily my favorite Pixar movie. Ratatouille is just a flawless masterpiece. That Ego scene at the end ughhhh chills.
I personally discovered through this poll that the internet including me really love The Lion King/Toy Story 3/ The Incredibles. Films that truly work on both the kid level and the adult viewing level as all good animated films should do
This would be really fun with a holiday theme since the new year is upon us. My pick all along was Wall-E. It's such a great film with a unique presentation.
I love these bracket showdowns using polls. The winner was always going to be The Lion King but still a great, fun video. Personally I wish Ratatouille and especially WALL.E made it way higher. They're both amazing movies. I wish Tangled was included in the showdown as well
I personally like Pixar films more than Disney animated movies. The Incredibles is my favorite, along with films like Megamind and the Spider-Verse films (you can tell that I have a preferred genre, lol).
Sean, this is the time of bracket where if it was possible could’ve been a 32 movie bracket with 16 on each side. But for me Monsters, Inc ended up winning my bracket, I had it defeating Beauty and the Beast in the final.
My Top 10 Favorite Disney movies 10. Sleeping Beauty 9. Pinocchio 8. The Hunchback of Notre Dame 7. Moana 6. Frozen 5. Tangled 4. Wreck-it Ralph 3. Beauty and The Beast 2. Aladdin 1. This is a very fun idea and I loved the interactive nature of the video with your community!! This is just a tough one to really spread across the eras of these studios. The top 7 Disney movies are all Renaissance (Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Hercules, Mulan, Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Notre Dame) and the top 7 Pixar movies are also from one decade stretch (Toy Story 2, Wall-E, Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, Monster’s Inc and Toy Story 3). Personally, I have loved Great Mouse Detective, Lilo and Stitch, Meet the Robinson, Tangled, Treasure Planet, Wreck-It Ralph, Coco, and Inside Out. But objectively, none of those really fight all that hard with the golden decade films. So you have to purposefully include lesser movies to make it more of an across the eras bracket and you will get some really lopsided matchups. I liked the idea of most hated movies. Because those are throughout the decades for Disney (even during the Renaissance) though they are really only post Disney purchase for Pixar. I don’t think they had a single miss before being purchased. Even the original Cars and Bugs Life are at least good.
Round Two Votes -Cinderella (either one honestly, i havent watched the older disney films since i was young and only like once) -Lion King (love Moana but LK is just phenomenal[ps i prefer Lion King II]) -Toy Story 3 (i prefer Inside Out 2 over the first) -Finding Nemo (saw both in theaters but i lean more toward emotional stuff and Incredibles is mostly just action. And being a Dad definitely hightens it)
You picked all the Princess Disney films except Lion King lol. Where is Aladdin, Hercules, Tarzan, etc haha 😂. Don't get me wrong they're all good, but those are my favs lol
The idea was to have movies from different eras and the most iconic. Those are 3 films from the 90s. Lion King is the King and beauty and the beast was nominated for best picture. So I went for those two. With how things went I probably should have included wreck it Ralph over frozen or MAYBE encanto
Beauty and the Beast vs Lion King summary: B&B has the best animation and 2nd best score out of any Disney. Lion King has top 5 animation and the #1 score. Lion King also proves itself as somehow more relatable and more fun to watch. Meanwhile, B&B has technically a better story and more adult elements and concepts. Both heavy hitters and probably top 5 animated movies across all studios.
For finding Nemo and as well as the wild robot, it’s not just about parenting, it’s also about people with disabilities and that they can do the same objective else which is what I connect to more as a disabled person.
My dad had a similar experience with Finding Nemo. He saw it a couple years after it came out, when I was born, and from what he told me, he had a connection with it too
I love this way of doing bracket challenges. You let the audience weigh in, but it’s not just a pure majority since that would really take away from it being *your* channel. As it turns out, I got my way, almost every single bracket challenge, including hoping for a final two of Lion King versus Toy Story 3, with Lion King winning! I think those are the respective best Pixar and Disney animated films, and I do think Lion King is narrowly the greater film!

It's in my top 10 favorite animated movies of all time. But Beauty and The Beast will always win for me, no matter what other animated movie it's up against.
I was shocked at how well Ratatouille was doing in all your polls. Not that I have anything against it, but compared to all the other Pixar films of its decade, I found it rather forgettable. I still don't understand what it is that apparently makes it so profound to so many people, because I don't see it.
My favourite Disney movie (Frozen) and my favourite Pixar movie (Wall.E) both went out in the first round, sadly. Tough break for Wall.E, although I do think the Incredibles is the second best Pixar movie. I am not a huge fan of Moana so that hurt a lot more. I seriously think based on any criteria such as music, characters, impact, box office, Frozen is better.
No surprise whatsoever. My wife and I have joked for decades that we are the only 2 people that don’t think The Lion King is the greatest thing that ever existed. lol We both hate it lol
I don't understand what the point of the poll is. It has no affect on the outcome. Whatever they say it's either the same as your choice, or you let Rotten Tomatoes decide. "Oh, my audience agrees with me? No need to check Rotten Tomatoes." "Oh, my audience doesn't agree with me? Well obviously Rotten Tomatoes knows better." I'd rather watch a video where the people decide the winners, and not just your own biased opinions, or a faceless website.

The Lion King and Toy Story 3, as great of films as they are, never resonated with me the same way as many of those who voted, even though I was also the perfect age and was born into that era to perfectly love them. But I do always understand the praise and the legacy, and I will always respect it as well. Its always fun to discuss stuff like this.
And I think I also need to add that my favorite animated film ever isn't even Disney, but rather DreamWorks: The Prince of Egypt. And that might have something to do with why I give Hunchback so much praise, it's not even necessarily the Christian elements of both, but the fact that we do venture into mature themes on an epic scale. The power of animation will never cease to amaze.
