My prediction is that their veiled dystopian utopian planet will try to have the protagonist killer in an effort to limit the exposure for their hidden planet.
One thing you didn't connect is the kid (KB?) to Lobot from _The Empire Strikes Back._ The Fandom says he's really a man and not just an android like Data from Star Trek, though he had a brain injury at some point. I can imagine such implants are used for kids with autism on that planet or in that galaxy (and maybe the visor has something to do with her not liking to look people in the eyes or have them look in her eyes?).
I'm glad someone else thought this! I like this so far, but I feel like its going to go downhill a bit to fast towards the end due to the "Exploring/learning" being decent at the start. But we'll see, so far I like it, but i'm not really a starwars fan..... So different perspective than fans of not knowing whats going on/who is who e.t.c.

In the first episode when he’s late for assessment, it seemed almost the exact ride and sounds on the speeder bike as Luke and Leia in Return of the Jedi. Same duck and turn and it was amazing!!
Opening of Ep 1 was great w/the large ship entering the screen just before getting hijacked = ode to how A New Hope opened. I hope kids like this series and want to get to know more about SW. Knowing I'm not the Target Audience, I'll be tuning in strictly for the background Easter Eggs & hints toward the greater Lore. Wonder if this Series will be good enough to incorporate the characters into new stories w/Sequel characters like Rey 🤔
If they had nothing to defend, then why did they fight so hard? Perhaps they heard some other pirates didn't let a ship and its crew go that had nothing for them?
It would seem like the Barrier has been up long enough the kids have no idea about how many stars or even what planet look like at night. If Grandparents had seen the night sky in there life time they would have shared stories. So to me looks like the Barrier has covered the sky for a very long time. Thanks Charlie👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 🌟🎄⛄🍭🎁
The old republic credit, that they are fully aware of the existence of Jedi and the fact that they don’t seem to be aware of the rest of the galaxy history almost make it sounds like they were “isolated” from the rest of the galaxy since before the rise of the empire… The great work could be Palpatine’s dormant back up plan if order 66 did not work out.
That was my thought, that they hid themselves with the rise of the Empire (or even during the Clone Wars), although Charlie mentions references to things after both those events. I have no thoughts on "the great work" yet. Since they seem out of touch with the galaxy, it's probably some local thing of importance to just that world. I figured the testing was just what they did for kids' career tracks like blue vs. white collar, or a throwback to when kids took apprenticeships for their teenage years. I had thought the person in the cockpit at the start of _The Phantom Menace_ was an apprentice navigator or pilot (like Anakin was supposed to have been), but it turned out to be a short woman.
5:44 Jody’s answer to whether he is a Jedi is “can you keep a secret” clearly Jod could have gotten the key whenever he wanted to, but waited until there was some other plausible explanation (for everyone else) to get the key. I think Jod didn’t use his Force abilities in a way that was easily detectable so that he would not have been outed as a Force user to his crew.

This is probably the closest we will ever get to a live action Treasure Planet and I am here for it. My wife and I loved the first two episodes. the Shistavanen that takes the captain position is awesome. that opening scene was one of my favorites from any star wars so far.

The scene between Wim and Fern outside the principal’s office is clearly a nod to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, the scene between Charlie Sheen and Jennifer Gray at the police station. Great first two episodes, I’m enjoying it so far.
Thanks Charlie for the post. I hadn't even known Skeleton Crew had premiered. Somehow there isn't any marketing about it where I'm from, which is weird. Anyway something to add about the holographic circus Neel's sibs were watching. The music is about the exact same style as some 20th Century Russian music. Check out Prokofiev's Piano Concertos and even Shostakovich's works. Not sure how it relates to star wars lore, but the Russian music of the mid 20th C was influenced a lot by the rapid advancement of film (and film music) at the time, post-world war. One of the many real/reel world depictions displayed in this show! 17:56

I think At Attin is totally unaware of the empire and its fall, and all the Jedi/Sith lore in the planet is based on Old Republic knowledge. The credits are from that era also.
Regarding Sam Witwer being such a massive Star Wars nerd if he has any experience writing producing and directing shows or movies. I’d definitely love to see him create a new series that runs for up to 4-5 seasons or some big movie. Great movie !!! Disney CEO never supported the movie plus they were going against Spider-Man and Harry Potter.
Thank you, Charlie! ✨💀✨ I thoroughly enjoyed these first two episodes of #SkeletonCrew and I'm eager to learn the mystery of At Attin. It's interesting that Michael Giacchino's son Mick is doing the music. I'm enjoying his style.
I got the feeling that they have been cut off since the actual old republic times. At least that's what I hope, give it a connection to something outside this time period. In order for it to be a myth I would think it had to have been cut off for a few hundred years at least.
It does. I'm just wondering if it's because there are only so many types of environments or if it is. Would make sense if not Exogol but somewhere in the unexplored area doing something similar.
Quick correction, it's not Michael Giacchino doing the music, it's his son Mick, who actually delivered a really kick-ass theme, taking after his father
Honestly, At Attin reminds me of the planet Camazotz in a Wrinkle in Time. Camazotz was a planet that could change its faces, and one of those faces was suburbia hell. It also hosted the IT, a cult like figure who controlled the residents of Camazotz. The “Great Work” and how cult like At Attin feels just reminds me of Camazotz and the IT.
I want to get it on record but when I heard Silva in the mask it sounded like Clive Owen to me and that will be the reveal that it wasn't Jude law after all. But I'm probably wrong but wanted to call my shot. And so much Goonie and ET and Speilberg vibes. I'm enjoying it.
Good Breakdown (good catch on Etch-a-sketch! first thing I thought when he was reading his version of a tablet, as well as desk in school). Episode 1 slow, setting up story. The Vernon KB character is too troupe, hopefully they move away from that. Episode 2 was better, being patient as they build the story (Andor is my favorite S.W. Disney Plus show, so a slow build is perfectly fine as long as they stick the landing)
2:28 Hey Charlie, don't remember if u mentioned the colors of the characters in the intro before, but I noticed they represent those in blue for the Jedi and red for the Dark Side/Sith.. So,are the Mandalorians on the Dark Side? Is this an hint for future Mandalorian stuff? By the way,I was doubtin this show at first but gave me all the good vibes from the Goonies and Amblin Spielberg movies.. Gonna be fun watchin ur breakdowns..
Wasn’t sure what this would turn out to be but looks like Stranger Things meets Star Wars Lore 7/10 my favorite character so far is SM:33. Hopefully we get a live adaptation of The Bad Batch one day that’s my jam!!
My personal theory is that the planet was a banking clan planet. It probably would’ve been hidden before the clone wars. The Empire could’ve found it on a Jedi star chart and decided a quiet infiltration was better than going in with guns. I think their “treasure“ would be information rather than credits, but the Great Work would probably be something to serve Palpitine.
I think the "secret project" on the kids home planet isnt tied to sith or the rder etc. why? cause the kids wouldnt play with jedi toys. in fact i think everything about jedi would be hidden" or they would be potraied as the bad guys at best

Quick correction, it's not Michael Giacchino doing the music, it's his son Mick, who actually delivered a really kick-ass theme, taking after his father
Captain EO easter eggs in here 🙌🏽🙌🏽 Neel is the same species as Hooter. Battle for Endor brought me to star wars
Best Star War content since last Star War content.
Is it me or was that creature who bussed them to the port similar to the one from the 2nd ewoks movie?!
Love the expansion of the Star Wars Universe. 👏👏
Just finished the first 2 eps and this show is definitely look interesting, I look forward to the skeleton crew
Thanks!
I have a feeling I'm really going to love this series. Loved the call backs and deep cuts.
That arubesh you posted describes jedi knights forming a temple or tower using the force out of rocks.
Treasure Island, 1883 novel by Robert Louis Stevenson
2:28 Hey Charlie, don't remember if u mentioned the colors of the characters in the intro before, but I noticed they represent those in blue for the Jedi and red for the Dark Side/Sith.. So,are the Mandalorians on the Dark Side? Is this an hint for future Mandalorian stuff?
By the way,I was doubtin this show at first but gave me all the good vibes from the Goonies and Amblin Spielberg movies.. Gonna be fun watchin ur breakdowns..
Excellent Charlie been on this channel since season 1 GOT
Awesome, thanks!
@ can you do something on Star Wars video games….. like any updates on the KOTOR?KOTOR2
The whistles at the beginning of the jail scene are directly lifted from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
Wasn’t sure what this would turn out to be but looks like Stranger Things meets Star Wars Lore 7/10 my favorite character so far is SM:33.
Hopefully we get a live adaptation of The Bad Batch one day that’s my jam!!
Did had expectations for this series love the first two episodes can’t wait for next week
Cheers Charlie.
Thanks!
loved the 2 episodes so far!
Yep. I’m all in. Loving it. Cheers Charlie
HOLY CRAP! Steve Urkel?! ok, I'm in. 👍
Charlie, how dare you, treasure planet was an unsung gem during the Pixar takeover 😤
my guess - there is a large - I'm talking "huge" deposit of kyber crystals for star killer base.

Lucasfilm exec: Quick! Get a director to make an animated short for Star Wars Visions based on this artwork!
It's the first time seeing credits as a coin format in Star Wars show
Not in Andor?
The seats in starship looks like it's giving the finger to someone.
This was like Rush’s Subdivisions
Love that there are at least one jedi in the show 🤣
Looking forward to follow
This looks like it might actually be worth watching!
I think the "secret project" on the kids home planet isnt tied to sith or the rder etc. why? cause the kids wouldnt play with jedi toys. in fact i think everything about jedi would be hidden" or they would be potraied as the bad guys at best
Skeleton Crew will be iconic!!!! this show is amazing
Great breakdown Charlie
Thanks!
