    My MGB was ported as well, you can feel the difference, in the F it is very lively, you can feel it when you first take off.

    I never had the book but have done these mods to my F K&N 57i enclosed air filter cold air feed from left air scoop
    Custom made side air scoops
    Custom made front splitter
    Roll Hoops
    Rear spoiler
    Ported and polished head
    8mm HT Leads
    Ceramic exhaust manifold plate
    SS 4-2-1 bigger bore exhaust manifold
    Decat
    Xpower SS thru flow spec back box
    Titanium exhaust wrap to decat
    52 mm throttle body
    Synthetic water less coolant
    13 bar oil cooler
    Aluminum Radiator
    Drilled and grooved brake discs
    EBC green stuff pads
    Xpart Suplex suspension
    Full Poly bush suspension upgrade
    Swapped the clock and oil temperature gauge
    TF camshafts, just a fun hobby cheers

      Sounds like more of a passion than a hobby! Nice list of work! Porting is something I'd like to have a go at one day. I have a 1.6 Rover 200 I'm sorting atm. Would be fun to eventually have a go at increasing/changing the output.

    That last manual is more a tf bible fantastic bit of tech tbf its indepth suited for nut and bolt resto

    I find haynes useless tbf the last one i found useful was for r8 after that era its a game of chase running back and forth ..... also they used to tell you how to set tappets and how to read valves now they tell you not to drink the fluids
    Its guys you an captain mustard that actually brake things down and indepth explanations that help the most tbf

      Yeah, I find sometimes they are a bit light on details. Plus (like with the Rover 75 one) they're written from a different starting point sometimes. Ie: they've already removed the front of the car so getting to the starter is easy.
      I do try to include some details, but I've missed recording it of late. Must try harder.
