To me, he's kinda like the X-Men's Iroh. He likes to have fun, wise and helpful when a member is having problems, but you don't want to mess with him because he's really badass.
Everyone is crying but Logan....he looks numb. He's been a soldier so he's had friends die & he's been alive since the 1800s so he's seen numerous loved ones die. He's heartbroken like the others but he is sadly used to the loss

@@knivez786 I think Gambit's death is permanent. In the comics, Gambit wasn't revived as a horseman of death, but voluntarily chose to become one to keep an eye on Apocalypse. He's been dead now for how long? At least several days, so his body has started to decompose. No way can he be revived by Apocalypse who hasn't even been seen in the entire season apart from the intro.
Sorry, but Gambit is gone for good. Same with Madelyne Prior who got vaporized by the blast.
The only way Gambit could be revived is if the giant sentinel injected him with nanobots that would convert his body into a sentinel like it did with Trask, but I don't see that happening.

Upon watching this episode, it occurred to me that the clip they show in the trailer of a casket being lowered down wasn't a fake funeral for Xavier, it was for Gambit. 😢

In the comics, Gambit was not revived as a horseman of death by Apocalypse, but voluntarily chose to become one to keep an eye on Apocalypse. Also, how long has Gambit been dead for? 2 days? 5 days? It's at least been a few days, meaning his body has already started to decompose.
Apocalypse hasn't been shown in the current timeline. Also, it's unlikely Gambit would turn into a sentinel like Trask. When Trask died, he immediately turned into a sentinel. That hasn't happened with Gambit. Sorry, but Gambit is gone for good. Same with Madelyne.

Rather, he voluntarily chose to become a horse man to keep an eye on Apocalypse. Totally different. Also, no sign of Apocalypse in the current timeline show, just the intro.
Also, his corpse must be decomposing now as it's been a few days since the Genosha massacre.

I was surprised seeing Gambit’s family appear at the funeral after appearing in ‘92 original and it was nice seeing Nightcrawler give the eulogy as he was a priest in the comics

He’s such a great character
Cyclops, Beast, Wolverine, and Morph as Gambit's pallbearers. Remy had his clashes with Cyclops and Logan, very vocal or almost coming to blows. Yet, each of them respected Remy as a team member and as a fighter. In the big fight against Master Mold in the original run, Gambit refused to leave Wolverine behind after doors closed with Wolverine fighting a large number of Sentinels alone. When trouble back in the bayous of Louisiana caused Remy to return despite how much he didn't want to, Logan traveled with Rogue and Jean to help him. Wolverine may not have liked Gambit very much, but he had the Cajun's back like Remy had his. The wild cards are the most unpredictable. They are also the most devastating to any hand, including the player who holds them.
Everyone looks heartbroken & it shows but Logan looks just so numb
I noticed Logan and Remy didn't bicker once in 97. I think they finally really came to terms with each other.
I wouldn't say Wolverine didn't like Gambit. I always saw them as having a realistic brotherly relationship. They bickered, trash talked and fought each other, but they had each other's backs, played basketball together and worked as a unit on the battlefield. Deep down, Wolverine respected him and saw him as family, best exemplified in his quote to the Cajuns when he, Jean and Rogue went to the bayou for him
"Remy ain't a piece of meat to trade for nobody! Sometimes these claws slip... take us to Gambit and it won't!"

This is really sad. But knowing that both Morph and Jean Grey came back from the dead, I imagine Gambit will be brought back to life somewhere in Season 2.
morph never died!! in the original xmen cartoons everyone thought he was dead... but he was neglected, abandoned left behind and then kidnapped and brainwashed by sinister! Everyone also thought JG died, but the phoenix ended up leaving her body. However, I do believe gambit is officially dead!
Ok. But I have a theory that either Mr. Sinister or Apocalypse will resurrect Gambit sometime in either the Season 1 Finale or the start of Season 2. This show is based off of a cartoon where Superheroes comeback from the dead after they’ve died a few weeks or months ago.

And his relationship with Rogue was kinda problematic seeing how he’s in his mid 20s and Rogue is a teenager, probably the same age as Iceman. And not to mention that other X-Men members in the Ultimates Universe such as Wolverine, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Beast, Dazzler, Angel, Emma Frost and Magneto are all dead thanks to Ultimatum, along with other heroes such as Wasp, Dare Devil, Ant Man and Dr Strange.

I'm puzzled about one detail; IIRC, in the comics and in OG X-Men canon, isn't Kurt always depicted as not haffink a Cherman agzent? I seem to recall that back in the day it was said that he practiced speaking like his favorite American actors like Clark Gable to do away with that; it's only in recent media he's been shown as having an accent, I think. Anybody have any idea why? But yes, I enjoyed this; Kurt's faith wasn't downplayed or depicted negatively at all and his words were perfect.

Ok so quick question since im still waiting on binging this for like a few more weeks. Do the others not know about Gambit having died thinking Rogue had left Gambit for Magneto and that it was motivated by the touching thing? Im just asking since Kurt is there, but i never heard it be mentioned.
Man even this eulogy scene was well down, this is one off the best episides.
I wonder if Matt and Kurt have met and spoken about their faith with all that's happen to them.
