I love that they realized right away that half of Taco Bell's menu is basically the same 5 or 6 ingredients in different forms. It's obviously not the best Mexican-inspired food, but it does the job at 2 in the morning.
I live in LA, so cheap tacos is plentiful at 2am everyday 😂 😂 No Tacobell for us.
It's not even Mexican-inspired. People don't realize it's all Tex-Mex. Inspired by foods found in Texas, which those were inspired by Mexican. More American than anything. That's why you get chopped up versions of burger toppings on the tacos, that's not Mexican at all.

The way the tomato, lettuce and such are chopped are mexican as to have it easier to spread out or grab for the family. As for ingredients you better not be calling guacamole, cheese and such just american. I understand your like for mexican food but if you haven't had the real thing or aren't from around there don't say anything about it. This is american mexican but the stuff is done right just of course not the same taste or cooked on the spot like real mexican food but its still good food regardless to mexicans who want an easy meal. Has its own good "american-mexican" taste. Why do americans always "stand up" for us when we don't ask you to even on food lol.

Yep, Mexican food is very different and even Americanized Mexican is still a step above Taco Bell. It's mainly food for late night after drinking.

No its not a step above taco bell. Americanized mexican is meh. Taco bell is pretty good. Of course not beating mexican food itself but americanized I'd say taco bell is the americanized mexican food but of course fast food which is why its a big thing. As a latino people around here in the border like both mexican food and taco bell. For some reason its the americans that try to put down taco bell while trying to white knight but not even needed for us since we are cool with it and like it just fine lol. Trying to be offended for another people's culture is something americans do too much of. Its food people calm down lol.
@@Fate862 Agreed. People need to stop trying to be offended "for" other people. Maybe those other people don't _want_ or _need_ someone to be offended "for" them. For example, maybe people should _ask_ if latinos are offended by Taco Bell (they're not, or at least _most_ of them aren't... I'm sure if Gordon Ramsay were latino, he'd disagree with me, LOL) before _assuming_ that they are.
Must live in a place that has pretty crappy Tex-Mex then. Hard shell taco is Tex-Mex. Chimichanga is Tex-Mex. Fajita is Tex-Mex. I like Taco Bell, but I don't put it above a good Tex-Mex restaurant. I put Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican on the same level, while both are above Taco Bell. Course, if the Tex-Mex or even Mexican restaurant charged what Taco Bell did, they'd probably end up being the same level of taste. You can only do so much when you're limited on cost, while trying to still make profit. Just the way it is when comparing a decent sit down restaurant vs a fast food restaurant.
I never ate at Taco Bell when I was at home. I'd just go to 9 Beans and a Burrito (in Twin Falls Idaho). Has authentic Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes. I'd say it's fast food, but not as fast as Taco Bell. Expect to wait 2-3 times as long for your food and also pay more. The food is much better than Taco bell though.
Where I'm at now. I might have Taco Bell once every couple months. I still need to try out Taco Bell in Japan. Hopefully whenever I go, they have something seafood related. The shrimp and avocado burrito looks yummy.
@@khanikun Fully agree. I think Taco Bell does a pretty amazing job considering the limitations they have imposed on themselves with their ingredients. They want to keep it relatively simple so as to have a quick turnaround time when people come for food. Literally fast food. What annoys me is when they change their menu they seem to always remove the best items every time. :P
I still haven't forgiven them for getting rid of the Grilled Stuft Burritos. It was the only menu item I was willing to pay $8+ for. Their newest cantina burrito is also $8, it's decent, but not worth it considering you can get 3 smaller burritos for the same price.
I love how Koreans seek the perfect combination of flavors. It is so experimental, so individual, so engaging.
The crunchwrap is a pretty genius invention from Taco Bell and I’m really glad they made it.
You would go to a Mexican restaurant for quesadillas, nachos, fajitas, enchiladas, tortas, tamales etc.

Their breakfast crunchwrap is delicious as well. In fact I think they have the best breakfast out of all fast food.

I went to Taco Bell for the first time in a few years and couldn't believe how expensive it has gotten. I remember 3 taco combo with a drink for like $4, but it was close to $8. Spent almost $20 for a chulupa and nacho supreme combo.
I just went to the Taco Bell near me in Washington Illinois yesterday, I got 2 hard shell tacos with an order of cheese nachos, and it cost a little over $5.00. Which is very cheap, a McRib value meal at McDonalds cost me $10,29 a couple days ago.
It totally depends on what you get. There's a combo option you can get 2 items (taco, burrito, etc), some cinnamon twists and a large drink for $5. But if you go outside of that it'll easily be 2 items for $10+. Gotta shop smart cuz sometimes they're a little proud
@@amorky8391 One hard shell beef taco at the Taco Bell about 4 miles from me in Washington Illinois is $1.69, so 2 would cost $3.38. I also get the chips and nacho cheese sauce for $1.99. Total price is $5.37. In my book that is cheap as hell.
I never get a soda from them because they charge too much. I get a case of coke for $8.00, which is $0.33 cents a can, so I always get it to go and drink my own soda at home. The first post said Taco Bell is expensive, and I disagree. Now of course if you buy the combo and the more costly items it will cost more. But if you just want 2 tacos and a nacho chips it is a little over $5.00 and very cheap, way cheaper than McDonalds, who charge $5.00 just for one McRib sandwich, or fish sandwich.
@@steves2241 much cheaper to get the box combo meals...u can get a chalupa supreme a beefy 5 layer burrito one hard taco and cinnimon twist with a large soda for 5 dollars... so 5.37 with tax ur getting more then what u paid for for 2 tacos and nachos...
and besides fountian soda tastes better then canned soda anyways.. so why not get the combo option n have more food n drink for the same price?

Thing about Taco Bell is it's cheap and it's open until 3:00 am. Nothing like real Mexican food. I never go there.

damn eating taco bell without a metric fuckload of taco bell sauces is just sad. i know because when i order taco bell delivery they often forget the sauces 😢 so that's why i always stock up on them and even buy the bottles online 🤣

I don't really eat Taco Bell that often since I eat either authentic, Americanized Mexican food or Tex Mex at home and I can even make a crunch wrap at home or go to a really good taco truck or Mexican restaurant. If I had to eat at Taco Bell it be the Doritos Locos Taco or the Mtn. Dew Baja Blast which is the only reason I go to Taco Bell when summer is over and you can't get a bottle or 12 pack of Baja Blast you go to Taco Bell and you can never go wrong with a Baja Blast since they always slap.

Taco Bell has steak and chicken Tacos. They always try minced ground beef on every item you can mix and match on the order and Breakfest and loaded Frys....its only the same stuff becuase thats the way they order it. All the try people do the samething at Taco Bell. But there not showing whole menu..

They weren't given any salsa or hot sauce for any of it and that's part of the experience. I know Koreans like spicy food. I'm not saying Taco Bell is authentic Mexican food by any means, just like Panda Express isn't real Chinese food, but you need to be given everything to experience that location properly.

The complaints about our foods having too much salt, carbs, fat and sugar is hilarious to me, and without overloading all of that, it wouldn't be Amercian anymore 😂 That's really our only "unique" trait with our foods. That and them often being messy.
The reality is we're not creative or unique, at least when it comes to the foods that gain the National and international status. It's home cooks that usually have the unique, creative flavor diversity here.
I love TBell, always have. My favorites are the Crunchwrap, Beef Supreme Chalupa and Soft Taco. Cheesy Gordita Crunch is close though 😊
Where are the sauces? You need fire sauce to enjoy it properly
Why does no one in other countries get and use the sauce packets. I swear I've never seen a single person that tried it for the first time use one outside the U.S.

Every Korean site I've seen that tries food with lettuce in it calls it cabbage. Do Koreans differentiate lettuce and cabbage or are they the same to them? I'm a bit confused.

Why get so many similar items. Nachos, cheesy gordita crunch, chicken quesadilla , bean burrito, grilled cheese steak burrito but instead you got 4 items with the same ingredients...
Taco Bell does use a lot of the same ingredients but these are particularly similar.
