@@tiff7057 Burritos, nachos, chicken tacos, and enchiladas are not eaten in Baja California? As I mentioned, adding more cheese or cream doesn't make it an American dish. There are very famous chicken tacos in the Emperadores neighborhood market, 'crazy' burritos on 20 de Noviembre Avenue, nachos in every Mexican snack business, like 'tostielotes,' etc. And there are enchiladas with cream in every Mexican restaurant. So, which Baja California are you talking about, and more importantly, are you sure about what you're claiming? Because I can assure you that I've been eating this food all my life. I don't know which municipality you're from, but you are mistaken. In every part of Mexico, food is prepared differently

Dudee, that’s not exactly Mexican Food, that’s more TexMex Food 😭😭. I grew up in Mexico, our enchiladas aren’t thaaat cheesy, it may have more sour cream or meat, and definitely a good portion of vegetables. And the tacooos 😭😭, we don’t do tacos that huge, they’re usually really small, so that you can grab a good portion of them, for example 5 is the usual portion, they usually don’t come w cheese as well, and the real traditional are serve in two small corn tortilla, sometimes muddy with the same oil that releases the meat, those tacos looked more like burritos tbh.

To answer the question at 6:14 , yes nachos are served at movie theaters. I grew up eating them at theaters and now I work in the theaters. The theater I work at also serves hamburgers. At the counter where we serve food and do cash registers, there is a clear storage box that is a warmer to keep nachos warm to be ready to be handed out to customers. Sometimes I buy hotdogs and I put them in the warm storage box so when I finish working my hotdogs will still be warm when I eat them. 😊

      You're not Mexican
      We don't consider you mexican.
Stop saying that, get a true identity. That "mexican" tag in the united states only works so people avoid calling you a true American.

Love it! But just keep in mind you are eating American style Mexican food (also called Tex-Mex), not authentic Mexican food. It's still yummy but once Americans like a food, they put a different spin on it. In this case, too much cheese, sauce, burritos and nachos are all American additions. Mexico is a big country with many regional dishes. In the area my father is from the food is fresh and simple: homemade corn tortillas, fresh salsa, beans, rice, zucchini, potatoes, tomatoes, lots of meat marinated in spicy sauce.

not all food from the south is all the gastronomy of mexico, mexico is rich in dishes and the dishes in the video are from mexico, from the burrito to the guacamole, the fact that in the usa this food is eaten does not make them american dishes, it is an offense to those of us from the north, wth

There are places in the US that do nachos at the theatre, but the nachos are usually pre-dressed unlike in the video here and usually in a taller box/tin to mitigate potential cleanup. Its safe to say if a theatre sells ice cream, it will sell nachos, because they're confident in the ability to clean!

For the last question which is, Do we eat nachos while watching movies? the short answer is yes, we do
The long answer is, it depends on the ocation, how many people are coming and if we are going to the cinema or if we are just watching the movie at home. In both cases we will choose between a variety of snaks, from chips, to pop corn to nachos, maybe gummies with chamoy, fruits, jicama with tajin etc.

I know in Korea is hard to find real Mexican food, because the ingredients are not easy to get. Having written that, I do hope they come to Mexico and try what really is our food. Burritos (I'm from Northern Mexico), do not have rice in them, and tacos (though in places such as Sonora or Baja California, do use flour tortilla) definitelly do not use lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream nor cheese (at least not like that). Still, what they were eating seemed to be tasty so hope they enjoyed it 😊

The tortilla chip, its like rice to them... no arroz is and it's eaten almost as much as in parts of Asia. It's usually fried, steamed or boiled served as a side but it can be the main course too. We also make desserts, soups and drinks out of rice unlike tortillas which only partakes in a fraction of our entire dish catalog.

I’m Mexican-American from California. I hate Cilantro lol. The British people call it Coriander. So, it’s not just an herb for Mexican food. A lot of Asian cuisine uses coriander, too. But not everyone puts Cilantro/Coriander, in their Mexican food. My grandmothers who are from New Mexico and Arizona, rarely or never used cilantro in any food they cooked but they didn’t always make Mexican food, they cooked just as much American food more. Once in a great while, my mom made enchiladas or tacos. But she always cooked pinto beans, whole or refried. My Mexican mom made the best Lasagna! Lol 😁

Those were not nachos. Those were just tortilla chips (totopos in Spanish) with salsa and guacamole dip. Nachos are tortilla chips that are smothered and covered with hot melted nacho cheese sauce and jalapeños and other toppings like meat or guacamole.
