When I did open deck, I also loved the physicality of it all. However, I moved over to dry van and love it. Keep on Trucking-

U gotta watch out for exhaust leaks like that. Cause if ur caught having exhaust leak's. They can force u off the road and give u certain time to fix it or they can make sure u are towed to a truck service to get it fixed by a license tech.

Man I’m not trying to throw shade or that’s not my intention. Bennett is probably one of the cheapest carriers out here for open deck. I may go as far as putting them on level with Landstar. There are way better options out here. Hope you find what you’re looking for……

I did OTR flatbed for a family O/O outfit moving industrial shop equipment, lathes, presses, shears, brakes, etc. As much as I loved seeing the country and all, the parking, fuel costs and all associated BS just became too much, even with the good pay from a family run company. I went back to running a sandbox/construction equipment in a day cab locally and make a third more than what I made OTR, AND I'm home every day by 4:30, 5'oclock. I also get medical benefits, paid holidays, PTO plan, 401k and sleep way better at night in my big bed. It even lets me do work with my own truck with my weekends free, so that's even more cash I pocket every year, a Saturday equipment move can be a 1k day trip. No way I'd go back OTR.

Trying to figure something out like what your doing as well. Would love to do local with my Cab Over. Just not having good luck where I’m at. Been driving for 13 years. Hauled 130ft concrete poles in the keys FL. And equipment. Now can’t find a good place to work that’s hiring unfortunately.

You said in one of the recent videos that you made a dollar per mile? Is that profit or gross? At ups, as a company driver, under the new contract, when we do sleeper teams we get 1.03 dollars per mile plus 9 cents per mile per diem plus hourly 45$ an hour when we fuel and wait for trailers. I recommend ups to all truckers, but it’s hard to get in, especially in Florida. Chicago and Jersey hire off the street

Crazy smoke there. Sucks you have to wait until the following day to unload. Stupid flex pipe again, nice stainless steel one. Having to idle all day! Ya may have to consider company driving temporarily with interest rates at 20yrs high, high fuel and low freight rates. Nothing wrong with that can always park the truck and run it again in better times.

Morning Mr cool guys 😎 Hope Kass get’s well really soon 😢 I’ve been a trucker in the U.K. 🇬🇧 and Europe for over 40 years and it’s never been any good really with doing long hours poor facilities low wages unless you work millions of hours 🙄 in the U.K. the trucking industry has provided a good living for people like myself that didn’t do very well at school as once you’ve got your HGV licence you just drive a lorry. I don’t think it’s as strict in the U.K. from what I see in the US 🇺🇸 I’m very lucky as I work for a mobile medical company moving MRI scanners on a great salary 👍🏻 Take care buddy until the next time so ya 😊
