Nah literally the writing In this game was Movie level along the lines of Last of Us, Survivor all around is truly some of the best Star Wars content of all time from the settings to the music and everything in n between

I freaking cried my eyes out at that scene. I like Cal didn’t know how I felt about Cere until the end of Fallen Order, but now after finishing Survivor Cere Junda is one of my all time favorite Jedi! Her fight scene with Darth Vader was both one of the greatest boss fights I have ever seen in my life and one of the most emotionally powerful duels in all of Star Wars. Debra Wilson should get a Game Award nomination for this role.
@@GoofersontheSecond WHOA WHOA WHOA! She’s already a strong female character, they just screwed up her story in TROS because they didn’t decide on what her lineage was until they were halfway through filming. If anything blame Kathleen Kennedy.
@@GoofersontheSecond she beat him because of MANY REASONS! 1) Kylo Ren was shot with Chewie’s Bowcaster in the ribs! And he was also injured when he fought Finn. 2) She’s an experienced fighter as you see when she beats those guys on Jakku who try and steal BB-8. 3) Obi-Wan Kenobi himself said IN THE VERY FIRST MOVIE that the Force controls your reactions but it also obeys your commands. Like Ultra Instinct from Dragonball Super. And she did that by truly opening herself up to the Force like Maz Kanada told her to.
I’ve only known Debra from her comedy and seeing this side of her is really incredible. She’s an awesome person and phenomenal actor. Thanks for posting this video.
That scene just broke me. I sensed it was coming and yet I just wasn’t ready. I balled so hard. Just getting to know Cere through Fallen Order and seeing how much more at peace she was within herself, despite everything going on in Survivor. Such great storytelling and acting.
I love that Cere's final spoken word was Trilla's name. Of course she has to mention her last student, but the fact that the little girl she grew into masterhood with still got a mention despite not really ever coming up in the game of Survivor. She trained her, raised her, and ultimately, tragically, failed to save her. Then to find success in keeping Cal from the clutches of Vader and making a complete fall to the darkside... This truly gets into what it means to have these special bonds as Jedi. Fantastic job, the emotional pay off for the relationship between Cal and Cere is a thing of cinematic beauty that will always shine bright to me in the current Starwars mythos.
This! When Cere mentioned Trilla it caught me off guard but it made so much sense. Cere never stopped loving her first (?) Padawan, she never really stopped feeling like she failed her; always kept her in her thoughts.
She wasn't mentioned, but Cal uses her move on the trooper transport ship on Coruscant.(Jumps on the "windshield" and uses the force to crash the ship) I thought that was pretty cool callback to her.
The performances these two gave in Jedi Survivor are just… transcendental. I really hope that weird fandom discourse doesn’t swallow Cameron and Debra’s exemplary commitment to the craft and just how amazing their performances were in the context of acting as an art and profession and not just as parts of Star Wars.
Debra Wilson seems like an absolute delight. A brilliant comedian who can also hold her own performing in serious acting scenes. An underrated talent, so i’m glad that so many people have taken to her and Cere Junda. Lovely hearing her speak about her experience with these games.
Im not a gamer, but i watched the movie bits since its canon. I so hated they killed Cere off. She was such a great character with her quiet strength and wisdom. Im really impressed with this story. Its a SW take on the pain of 2 ppl dealing with post traumatic stress disorder and trying to find a new purpose after combat life. Very applicable to many people today. RIP Cere, Im sure your force ghost will continue to guide Cal in the future ❤
This moment was beautifully phenomenal. The fight against Darth Vader was so powerful in terms of you could feel the weight behind each of Cere's swings so when it came to Cere's passing, it wasn't just emotions of loss we see from Cal but fulfilment/ satisfaction from Cere having given her life to fight to defend what she loves. A wonderful testament to sacrifice and one mourned greatly.
I really like how they make the characters look exactly like the voice actors. i wonder if they do this on purpose incase they are to appear in live action
They do Motion Capture on these characters now so the voice actor’s actually are on sets doing the things we make them do on the game, it’s truly A grade movie level stuff, that’s why I would never care about paying 50+ dollars for DLC for games like this or Last of us because of how much it actually costs to make these games
I doubt Debra will ever read this, but I just wish I could tell her the impact her character had on me ever since Jedi Fallen Order. I love Cere's pragmatism, how she dealt with her troubled and tragic past, her devotion to the Jedi and to her found family, and how she admitted she needed help to resist the Dark Side that's within all of us. And this love for her character grew even more as I played Jedi Survivor. Cere Junda didn't do everything right but she gave it her best for herself and for others. She is a role model I wish I had when I was young!
Debra Wilson is such a g. I've noticed her over the years in many video games, but her as Cere has to be one of her best performances and one of the few good new Star Wars introduced in the past years. She's such a great actor and seems so passionate about this character and seems great to work with! Also never knew she had such awesome tats
I cried at that scene too, it was sooooooo emotional while the orchestra was playing, I'm appreciated for thoes beautiful scenes that dedicated actors showed to us.
The affection & professional respect Debra has for Cameron is so very genuine - I love it!! I was introduced to her thru Destiny 2: Witch Queen as Savathun - and she's now on my short list of VAs I want to meet.
Playing the game...By far this was a hard scene because the acting, the music, the atmosphere. It all came together beautifully. Then the final touch was towards the end of the game. It brought a seasoned gamer to almost tears. So god blessing good.
It’s seriously such a great Star Wars title but unfortunately it’s performance just constantly reminds u the game is unfinished. Hurts that so many ppl bought it and can’t even play it despite having over the recommended specs.
When Cal is just balancing on the edge, you feel it. When you activate it my body was moving to every swing man, just like fuck this shit you’re all dead lol.
I like how he doesn't just start screaming and just cries. Its subtle but its kind of rare to see men be sad without that sadness immediately turning into anger in fiction.
As soon as she faced the close door, I knew Vader was coming, and that's when I knew Cere was going to die, I played that whole Cere part just begging her not to die.
Such chemistry. You can really feel the emotion as he's losing his mother. Because she was the closest thing he had to a Mother and you can really feel their bond throughout the games. Brilliant 👏 I especially love the Leonidas (battle of thermopolai aka 300) spartan general death scene. But with the good one tricked instead of the bad one. It was alot like the Han Solo death scene.
Thank you Debra Wilson!! You are among my favorite Jedi of all time now thanks to your wonderful performance! Cere Junda had a journey and ending well-deserved!
Cere character was one of the best in star wars history in my opinion well done to that actress along with the actor who played kal they made an excellent job !!!
I'm glad so many of the people that worked on the Fallen Order and Survivor games were passionate about the story they were telling. It's palpable throughout the games.
I didn't realize the characters are actually modeled after their voice actors, that's an awesome touch! Makes it feel even more like you're playing through a movie.
And most of them are screen actors, not just voice actors, and their movements in cutscenes (and Cals animation in combat) are all mo-capped, so you basically are getting live-action acting performances being rendered through a game engine.
I love Debra Wilson as Cere Junda. That character was so strong, disciplined, and compassionate - she was a mother like figure as opposed to a master. When Cere died, it was very sad and heartbreaking because you saw how important she was to the story and to Cal Kestis.
I am SO EXCITED to see where cals character goes after he lost both of his masters, cere showed him patience and compassion awhere as jaro shoed him discipline and heart.
I cried with this game. It was so intense and emotional and beautiful. The other game that had make me feel like that was Ghost of Tsushima. The entire game is so well crafted and the storylines of the characters so relatable that you get invested. When he see the Jedi Temple at the beginning! Oh boy that hit hard!
@Simon Ghost Riley Ahhhhh fair point. Well, perhaps in a flashback she may return. Or not. Her character was written well, and I was a pleasure having her in these games.
this was beautiful both the scenes and her words. loved the game, loved her performance and naturally as a writer i tip my hat because it's a powerful scene, especially knowing her and obiwan wan handed vader his ass in the same year lol
Debra absolutely killed it in this game. Just wow on so many levels. Great interview. Loved hearing her thoughts and experiences in the making of the game.
hey dude, send all these positive messages to Debra cause she rocked it. Cere is immortal now. Landed a blow and then some on Vader like only Ashoka and Luke were able to. great acting, great gaming. i hope to see Cal and Cere in live action.
Full redemption for this fallen Jedi Master and a noble sacrifice to protect the remnants of the Jedi Order, it's history, and future. You will be missed, Master Cere Junda, and you are an icon Debra Wilson. Thank you.
Between Cameron on JFO and JS, and Sam in both Force unleashed games, we really got lucky on the different developers casting actores that both cared for games, and loved star wars
Can you imagine how heartbreaking it would be if she knew who Vader really was. I’m sure she knew who Anakin was. He was pretty much a legend among the Jedi. To know that she was killed by someone who used to be one of their biggest heros
Debra killed it. We got the see how strong Cere truly was, almost defeating Vader. Which makes sense because she’s a Jedi master so she shouldn’t be an easy task for Vader. They created a very emotional moment with her death scene.
The SADDEST part was that Cal didn’t actually catch Cere! If you pay attention the the border of the scene he’s actually witnessing her last moments through his special Force Echo ability! 🤯 Thats why in the transition the archive is falling to ashes when it was just burning 🔥💯✨ Wish the movies writing was this good!!
With mocap, we should have an award for video game actors, and Cameron should surely get it, as well as Debra. Indeed the orchestra and soundtrack was on fire, rivaling the best of Star Wars.
Last time I had tears rolling down my face from a video game, was Arthur Morgans end. When I saw Cere with Vaders blade in her, after giving it her all in that knock down drag out fight, I felt gutted and then Cal showing up, her calling for Trilla, dude, it was emotionally draining and mastefully crafted. Thank you Debra for bringing a poweful figure to life and fighting tooth and nail until death.
I knew it was going to happen but I still wasnt ready for it amazing performance from both the water works were going. I also appreciate Cameron was giving notes on gameplay I think its a better game for it even if they didnt take his advice just the perspective from a player and a fan is helpful.
I love how passion the cast of this game is! They are more knowledgeable and reverent to Star Wars and the story of the Jedi games than the cast for the Sequel trilogy. It really reminds me of the way that Mark Hamill and many of the Prequel trilogy cast talks about their roles and stories in Star Wars. Cere Junda is/was an amazing character, and Debra portrayed her so perfectly! You could tell she and Cameron definitely had great chemistry. I hope to see more of her character in the next game as a force ghost or in flashbacks. 😭

Cere character was one of the best in star wars history in my opinion well done to that actress along with the actor who played kal they made an excellent job !!!
I'm glad so many of the people that worked on the Fallen Order and Survivor games were passionate about the story they were telling. It's palpable throughout the games.
Love Debra Wilson so much glad she got to be part of this universe. Cere was a dope character
Loved debra on mad tv, always been a fan. Was stoked to see her in the first one!
I’m so glad they fixed her eyes in this game. The emotion and expression is so much more fitting with this small detail
I love Debra Wilson as Cere Junda. That character was so strong, disciplined, and compassionate - she was a mother like figure as opposed to a master. When Cere died, it was very sad and heartbreaking because you saw how important she was to the story and to Cal Kestis.
The way this actress is talking about her costar is quite sweet.
Would like to see more older actors praise the work of younger actors like this.
If Debra isn’t in the next game, giving Cal guidance through the force, I’ll be surprised
That part of the game hit so hard and the ending what a masterpiece from Respawn
I don't think this is the end of Cere, She'll be in the next game guiding Cal
Force Ghost or flashback material most definitely
@@EzeICEshe didn’t complete her training to become a force ghost
@Simon Ghost Riley Ahhhhh fair point. Well, perhaps in a flashback she may return. Or not. Her character was written well, and I was a pleasure having her in these games.
This was wonderfully acted. I legit broke down, paused the game and cried for like 30 minutes.
She held her own against Vader for as long as she could and succeeded in her mission. Gonna miss Cere
I love her shes so cool and seems like such a genuine sweet person
God the music in that scene is unbelievably good. Strengthens the emotions tenfold.
They gotta do like a Force Ghost thing for Cere.
She was such a good character.
Like how Qui Gon talks to Yoda in the Clone Wars.
Love to see how the actors were so invested and talented, bringing an amazing Star Wars story to fans. This is Star Wars done right.
This scene gave me the chills, such a great game.
Debra did amazing in both games, I hope to see her again soon!
When we have dedicated actors playing the characters we see....you can just feel it. You dont need cheap tricks...
Debra is so talented. Watched her since I was young and she was on MAD TV. LOVE HER !!! Thanks for this special interview 🩵🤍
It's just great to see when it's not just the next paycheck but an passion to actors and crew and developer
Legit have not seen Debra since her MadTV days, holy shit those tats! Looks great! and great fucking job as Cere, what a phenomenal performance.
r.i.p Cere Junda, you'll always be remembered as one of the greatest Jedi of the republic, may the force be with you always!! 😢
this was beautiful both the scenes and her words. loved the game, loved her performance and naturally as a writer i tip my hat because it's a powerful scene, especially knowing her and obiwan wan handed vader his ass in the same year lol
Dude she looks mental. I had no idea that’s what she actually looks like. She did a great job in the game.
I would absolutely LOVE to see the behind the scenes MOCAP of this scene.
They DEFINITELY need to bring Debra (Cere) back in the next series. Maybe as a force spirt that guides Cal forward.
Debra absolutely killed it in this game. Just wow on so many levels. Great interview. Loved hearing her thoughts and experiences in the making of the game.
I agree that the music just added sooo much more to it too, the animation was amazing, the music hit hard, and the actors did amazing
Only recently did I realize that I had been watching Debra as a kid with MadTV, such range!!
Yo I had no idea she looked so fuckin dope in real life.
So rad to play as her after hearing her voice in so many games.
She was absolutely amazing in Fallen Order and Survivor!
The music in that scene is just *chef kiss*
hey dude, send all these positive messages to Debra cause she rocked it.
Cere is immortal now. Landed a blow and then some on Vader like only Ashoka and Luke were able to.
great acting, great gaming. i hope to see Cal and Cere in live action.
Can we appreciate that the thumbnail and title is spoiler free?
If you clicked on this and not expecting spoilers, it's on you.
Full redemption for this fallen Jedi Master and a noble sacrifice to protect the remnants of the Jedi Order, it's history, and future. You will be missed, Master Cere Junda, and you are an icon Debra Wilson. Thank you.
This is the first time I've seen debra wilson in the flesh instead of as cere. Didn't expect the tattoos but I'm here for it
Debra did a great job in both games
Between Cameron on JFO and JS, and Sam in both Force unleashed games, we really got lucky on the different developers casting actores that both cared for games, and loved star wars
Can you imagine how heartbreaking it would be if she knew who Vader really was. I’m sure she knew who Anakin was. He was pretty much a legend among the Jedi. To know that she was killed by someone who used to be one of their biggest heros
An excellent cast, Incredible immersive story filled with action. So glad to have played this game
Bruh she is soooo DEAAAAAM COOOOL GIRL! SHE IS BADASS AF I LIKE HER STYLE. GOAT❤️
Love you Cere! May the Force be with you!❤️
Debra killed it.
🤯 Thats why in the transition the archive is falling to ashes when it was just burning 🔥💯✨
Wish the movies writing was this good!!
When I saw Santari Khri I instantly recognized her from the show The Originals. She was awesome in that. She died at the hands of Elijah Michaelson.
With mocap, we should have an award for video game actors, and Cameron should surely get it, as well as Debra. Indeed the orchestra and soundtrack was on fire, rivaling the best of Star Wars.
For some of that she was there back in the moment and trying not to flash back.
I cried during this event
Last time I had tears rolling down my face from a video game, was Arthur Morgans end. When I saw Cere with Vaders blade in her, after giving it her all in that knock down drag out fight, I felt gutted and then Cal showing up, her calling for Trilla, dude, it was emotionally draining and mastefully crafted. Thank you Debra for bringing a poweful figure to life and fighting tooth and nail until death.
Great interview, mate!
cere is one of my favorite female video game characters, cals growth as well as ceres was awesome to experience
The chemistry between Debra, Cameron and Daniel was flawless!
