Just bought a 1 owner 15 scat challenger from dodge with 22k miles on it! Thing looks brand new, garage kept and maintained. Had to pull the trigger!
how much did ya spend on it
Bought my 15 scat used with 24k and i drive it very hard. Got 93k now do regular oil changes rear tires every 6 months and the brakes 2 times they are pretty tough.... enjoy
@@1slow_gto it was 35k
People run the miles up on those cars faster than anything I’ve seen before 💀
I bought a 2012 SRT8 charger in April 2021 with 23k miles and it’s been great so far. Previous owner was an old guy 👍
Best kinda guy to get it from
High mileage on any dodge Chrysler product is a huge risk
🤣😂🤣😂
The only chrysler product I've known to even make to high mileage is the 4 door sebrings and those are hit and miss
These are just inferior products. Anyone with a pair of eyes should be able to see this plainly.
@@rocdam1ke758 mostly Miss and when they miss they miss hard
@@JDMSwervo2001 🤣🤣🤣
The best advice to buy RWD performance vehicles is to check the rear wheel wells and surrounding areas to try to find tire shreds, if you can find any walk away lol if not you may or may not be lucky.
You don’t think they clean it lol these people not stupid some are
If after they get done leaving the rubber on the ground And not clean The wheel well after they don't deserve the car
@@Markbabbmost people especially black folks ain’t doing all that
"You want brand new house, brand new ps5, brand new gf." Lmao
Key words :You really got to do your Homework,
There are very good used Hellcats out there, same goes for scatpacks ,But there are also ones that were Dogged to shit,I am confident in my used car buying skills but for someone who isnt confident beware lol
Fyi ,I roasted my tires one time in my Hellcat just because ,but otherwise mine was very well taken care of
I love these cars mane. I’m still in my 12 RT wit 115k miles and still runs hard. At some point though I would like to do a 6.4 swap. Great Video 💯
Under 20k miles, get a warranty and a pre purchase inspection.
Facts, my 2015 SRT Grand Cherokee had 57,400 miles on it which is low as hell for a 7 year old car..however my transfer case was shot from the moment I bought and I bought it from the dealership I work at..warranty warranty warranty..I can’t say it enough..got it fixed and it’s been good ever since..bought it in January of this year
Also you have to be mindful of odometer rollbacks
I was looking at this 2017 scat for $32k and it had 78k miles. I know someone is going to buy it
My first challenger was a new 2010 plum crazy SRT8
No line lock or launch mode
Not realizing what I actually had (limited production 967 made) I sold it with 6000 miles on it 🥺
My 2019 scat has not evenreached 20K miles, I am emotional about what’s going on. In august I ordered a 2022 shaker which I just picked up last night. In September I got a 2016 hellcat with 16500 miles. 2 weeks ago I picked up a 2018 shaker, and my order just went in for the 23 shakedown wide body and it should be ready pretty quick bc I got in early. All of my challengers have had and have and will have manual trans. I am keeping these cars as long as I can. Also thinking about hoarding gas 😂🤣😂🤣🤦♀🤷♀I love these cars, I recently had a 23 ZL1 for about a week. Overrated piece of shit unless you’re on a drag strip
I owned a challenger shaker and i loved it until i pulled beside a hellcat one day and he pulled off that whine that quickness knockout 360 you have to drive one for a day and you would change your mind, so i had to order the widebody hellcat is like night and day....
What's wrong with a new civic type r?
Only thing you gotta worry about is depreciation.
I do agree bringing a second and or third opinion with you when you car shop is sound advice.
Also get the service records if available too.some people who still abuse the car still service the car at dealerships and knowing the history as you mentioned is important.
Nothing Kool , about driving a Honda Civic
@@tinksthemetalg1945 it’s not supposed to be cool lol it’s an everyday car but I’ll say the cool part is it’ll never break
Type R k swap eg and ek are cool those cars beat most v8s
My 2014 300c has 320k....runs like butta baby.#NoCap
I park my SP at the park and ride and catch the train/bus to work it’s saved many miles over the years! Houston traffic is tuff!
That’s why I skipped all this ,want street and got me new one 😅 just because I am like you don’t like to do any crazy stuff in my car and that’s what I accept it to be…great video 👏👏
Check the drive shaft for stress cracks. A beaten down hard car will have them around the U joints. One time burnout might be a great car, even though it has those marks. Just go to a tech, get a PPI, but make sure the tech is actually a Dodge tech!
Yeah I say anything less then 20,000 miles is good. I had traded in my 18 charger r/t with 90,000 miles on it. Nothing was wrong with it didn’t dog it or anything just drove it a lot (heavy commuting) maintenance was good and traded in for 16 scatpack shaker for less then 9k miles. Still heavily commuting in it as a daily driver. Just have to have luck and like he said DO YOUR research
Where are people finding these 75k new scats? Two dealerships I've looked at have them at 48k. And wide body at 55k
Amen my man trying 2 keep mines 2
Got my Dodge Charger R/T back in June of 2021 and only have 14000 miles on it. I'm not doing all that crazy stuff with it. Just enjoying the ride and the sound...😂😂😂
I guess I'm that nobody that just drives to work and back 😂
A 70,000 altima is horrible also lol. Alot of people drive them shits just like scatpacks & hellcats 🤣🤣🤣🤣. They call it "altima energy".
Buying a used hellcat or scat pack is your first problem...
Knockout 360 " There are certain things that you need to take into consideration when looking for a used scat or cat that you never had to take into consideration with any other car you've bought".
Me. Looks at any Evo or Subaru STI.
75,000 miles on a v6 charger? That's a good deal.
There was a 2019 scat with 11k miles on it. It had an As Is sticker on it for 40k at a Dodge dealership. I stood there and stared at that car for an hr.
My boy fly af today ain’t it 🤝🏾🤝🏾
I got my Scat I take it to work n back. I can honestly say I don’t beat on mine. I get on it on the freeway but that’s about it no swinging or burn outs lol
I love this video bro!!!! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣. I always tell people the same shit
My 1320 is garage kept its a 2020 had just over 2 years I bought New 8400 miles do I love The speed of this car yes have Left over 40 ft of rubber on the ground yes I have but it's still in brand new condition . The only reason This car will come up for sale is when I'm no longer on This world.
Did I not say in the video you did before this or the one you did yesterday: If you get one used, plan on getting a new crate engine and/or trans?!
I have a hellcat challenger, and a scat pack charger and I get on it every blue moon but for the most part I don’t abuse them at all
I drive my Scatpack WideBody no different then my Corvette's. Do I a use the HP available to me, yes I do! Do I abuse any of my Vett's or Widebody. Nope. I don't treat my high HP cars any different than my heavy duty truck. Use them don't abuse them is my philosophy when I drive. I don't race on the streets or do burn outs. The cost of a mistake on the street may be an injury to someone other than myself. I'm not willing to take that chance. On the flip side, there can always be a track day at WillowSprings in a controlled high speed environment. I've worked way too hard and too long for everything I own to have it taken away because I let the accelerator pedal overrule my common sense. Since I've taken ownership of my new Widebody I understand why and what you're saying. I don't know how many times people pull up next to me and want to race. This is like riding Harley's. You ride them long enough and you will go to a funeral and plant of your Brother's. It's not if it's just when. Same will happen here when the pedal hits the metal on the street. Ya'll have a Merry Christmas.
I had this same thought as I watched your last video yesterday.
That’s why I rather buy a brand new because usually the customer the dog out the vehicle you don’t know what’s been done to the vehicle
Depending on age I might take a high mileage car over a low mileage one. A 2018 Scat with 7,000 miles has been doing a lot of sitting. The tires are dry rotted. The rubber is dry rotting. It's been sitting for months at a time with some nasty gas. FI doesn't like nasty gas. If he's really unlucky various rodents hang out in there too. Maybe it was sitting for a year or two with a blown diff. Scat prices are sky high now so the owner maxes out a card, gets it fixed, and now it's a "cream puff low mileage Scat." If it's got 65k on it it's the person's only car. People don't rag on their daily rides because they need to get to work. It's been serviced because it's their only car. Scat prices are sky high right now, it's worth more than he owes, so it's a good time to sell.
It doesn’t really work like that, especially these days. Money isn’t really an issue for most like it used to be. At least from what I can see and know personally.
With Scat prices the way they are a lot of junk is gonna be coming out. A lot of cut rate body work and a lot of junkyard parts are gonna be on these cars. You see it in the Copart salvage prices.
Wait. I daily mine back and forth to work everyday…
dont buy a used car without getting a after market warranty most dealers sell them and include it with your payments if the original warranty is gone or get one from dodge with extended warranty
I wouldn’t burn out tires because to me that’s still damaging something on your car. That is disheartening about the guy with there srt8 and hopefully that was a rare horror story. I thought a hemi could handle red lining because I thought they were built for that and built for boost. I thought a little Honda would be less tolerant to being driven too hard. Depends on the prior owner too. Most people drive slow, especially in Atlanta. I open my little 5.7 up everyday I drive it at least once
Gotta clock the driver/seller too. You can tell the diffo between a young gun thats been prolly paying for vapid instagram clout with slinging wheels into curbs (people lol) vs the old fogey who wanted a 392 to go windows down around the lake like younger days
I was lucky I got mine with less than 10k but don’t know how the previous owner drive it I’m guessing he returned it because it was stick shift but it drives smooth I baby it only use it 2-3 days on weekends and like less than 50 miles
I was hip to the widebodys until everyone had one.
Less aerodynamic as well.
And those Chargers have 400 lbs on my Challenger.
Eat them up all day.
The new Hellcats look like 4 wheel drive.
Too much tire clearance all the way around.
Did put 295 40 20s on the rear and lowered car all 4 corners.
The more widebodys I see, the more rare mine looks.
2020 challenger scat 19k miles for 39k love it
Oh yea...gotta change that diff fluid and add 2oz of slip lock....if the previous owner didn't do that at 35k miles....no sale....oil changes with 0w40 only....5000 miles on the dot...only amzoil or Penn...period
So 360 i remember you said you was getting a hellcat so are still considering it????
I bought my used Challenger Scat Pack with 5k miles, one owner (pretty much brand new). I'm looking to buy a Challenger Hellcat next and when I search for them online, I put "under 20k miles" in the search.
I wouldn't buy ANY Scats or Cats over 20k miles...unless you can verify it was one owner, driven by an old man. Nonetheless, still gotta get Carfax and make sure you buy with a warranty, especially if the factory Mopar one has already expired.
Im a 60 year old women and i consider myself a safe speeder.
Buying an automatic is for pansys.
The power is wasted with automatic muscle cars.
I want to shift that car using everything its got from first to second especially. Age doesn't mean shit!
Can applie to any sport cars i wouldn't buy any used sport car unless I know I can work on it my self or parts is no afford like chevy ls motors
when bro said do 160 for 40 seconds 🤣
if you dont know how to work on cars or even have a place to work on your car your asking for trouble buying a used sports car
You can even buy any used R/T challenger or charger pretty much all of them are gonna be beat up for the most part but not all ppl dog their cars like that
Best bit or reality on these cars in months. Great Post! The drivetrains were out quickly when they are at full demand. It's a ton of stress the trans and rear take from the power. I say deduct about 75 cents per mile driven from new price in the year it was sold. Even then, be prepared to make a large repair payment along with the mortgage in the used up "Asset ". And then again, the repairs never add value to an original car. Just lend suspicion to what the hell it has been through when the second fool tries to off it to the third fool. And thet guy with the brakes Glowing due to the traction control trying to slow the rear right wheel, he is driving it expecting it to be safe . Maybe with his wife and child in it. Stoopid. Always take an Led light, extension mirror and some forensic tools to vet out a used car. Especially the rear brakes on the 6.2 or 6.4 monsters.
70k hellcat vs civic miles TOTALLY different sooooo true
You're pretty funny I love these cars
Well dodge does have s warranty on brakes for hellcats and scats
Imagine selling a scat or cat and every potential buyer wants to get on the highway and make sure it can do 160 mph for 40 seconds lol
I’m good off any Nissan with 70k miles i agree with Toyota and Honda though
Is 2011 and up v6 chargers safe around 160k miles and under then
U will have to get the engine and transmission looked at. I got a 2013 charger with 70,000 miles on it and had to spend 500 bucks on valve lifter replacement. The key to this is how much time and money u want to invest, because u will have to fix on a used car no matter what
I ain't hit 160 yet...135 and I let off! 😂😂😂
I be asking them are they driven miles or burn out miles 😂😂😂😂
Transfer case?
Some people have shit credit so their APR might be hella high that’ll make their payments $1k 😭😭😭
Shid im just trynna find a gt or something 😂
If the previous owner is under 35, lv it!
I drive my T/A like a GT
😭🤣
Never seen somone own a hell cat for more then 2 years
Facts on everything you said. This is my 3rd widebody and still haven't roasted tires. Lmao ..... even when I had narrow I never burned out or slid car. Everyone I know that does that had problems with their cars.
Right there with ya!! Not doing that in my car..
Ain't no way I'm buying used muscle man keep it a buck. Bought my GT 5.0 new for those reasons exactly.
There is zero chance I’m letting someone come look at my Scat and beat on it.
Car facts first thing first lol
Bro was talking about used charger yesterday 😭
Ive got a 2021 white 6 speed scat for sale 4000 miles for 47k
Is 4000 miles still good to buy? Is it technically brand new?
Pretty much
KO TREY 💣
What’s wrong with buying a new Honda?
I think the point is there’s not likely to be much wrong with a used Honda 😂
160 for 40 seconds 🤣
Show me the car fax lol
100%
as a big honda guy ill tell you it ain that easy becuase alot of people have the same bulletproof attitude as you they shit on their honda never taking care of it. most people look at honda and toyota as the cars they dnt have to mantain kuz they still go this is why you dont see as many old ones any more. 10-15 yrs ago is was common to see a 20 yr old honda on the rd now you hardly see anything older then 10 just my experience being a honda guy in boston area
So true lately when I see a car stranded it’s usually a Toyota the folks who change oil once a year
Yeah the majority of cars I see broken down on the side of the road are newer Hondas and Toyotas lol
buy a brz to beat on lol
45,000miles is bad or used on any car to me is bad unless its one owner and hood carfax other than that it’s ok. More than 45k miles on a car is bad to me unless u really want it .
Look at Mr.Moneytrees here lol jk man but nah 45k is fine on almost all cars but doing your due diligence is best no matter what.
💯
I'm looking at scat that used with 28k miles and another with 30k something miles they both run and sound well and breaks don't squeek and tires tread is good on both and one a narrow body and the other one is a wide body
15k should be max maybe 20k thats just me
Damn yo shun your doom & gloom b shun if I wanted sum reasons not to buy I come to yo channel shun!!!!
It's called advice not doom and gloom people don't know as much as you think they'd know about cars, Hellcats and Scats are a anomaly in the used car market because they're a lot of them but their prices are still high af so people could go out and buy a beaten up one and overpaid because they didn't know what to look for.
Brand new girlfriend…😂
PS5 type of stuff💀
Everybody that's Black knows how over the years Dodge has treated, especially that Ex RUclipsr I liked that Hellcat that had caught fire, and they made Paul lose his job, and almost his Family, and Home, so y'all Black Folks be DUMB enough to drain your Bank Account for something that's not promised to you! You know it's sad how alot of People get treated for this particular brand.
“Idk why you would buy a Honda new”-me w the new si🥲
Yea this dude tripping😂I’ll take a new Honda over any new American car any day
That’s bad for the transmission
Aint no suck damn thing as racing on the eway legal 😂😂😂
70k miles on a Honda Accord should alarm you because they most likely were uber cars.
