Under Chrysler ownership, the AMC badge briefly became Eagle. The name was taken from AMC 4wd wagon. Eagle was also used on the J-10 pickup trucks and some Jeep trim packages.
I drove a Pontiac Chieftain across Canada in 1957. At the lakehead (Lake Superior) the pavement stopped. 2,000 miles of washboard. That car wa built like a tank, it not quit, rusted out floor boards, it kept running. Unbelievable.
I wouldn't say no to a 1968 Humber Super Snipe if a decent one came up for sale. They were so luxurious. Think the only thing they were really missing was air-conditioning and power windows for the day. No power steering, but they didn't need it. The leather seats were so comfortable, and all that real wood including picnic tables.
Datsun (Nissan) Edsel Tucker Stutz International (International Harvester) made passenger vehicles considered one of the first SUVs.. the Scout. The Scout name will soon be attached to an electric SUV from Volkswagen.
Packard may have stopped production in 1958, but the Packard plant is still sitting in Detroit. They started to demolish it, but quit. It is sometimes hard to say goodbye to the past but that old plant is nothing but an eyesore and a death trap, especially since they started demolition.
Anybody here ever heard of the Dale? This was a *very* small car produced by a very small company. One was offered as a prize on "The Price is Right", but everyone on the show bid way too high on the price so it wasn't given away. The company was named after the founder, one of the first of what would now be called trans women to become known for something other than their gender identity.
Holden lasted a little longer. Whilst the last Holden manufactured was in 2017, GM ended re-branding in 2020 with the Colorado. Always wanted a HZ Holden Premier V8 sedan but now that they are super rare or heavily modified, it's hard to get a good next to stock one.

I miss Mercury.
Ford never should have killed Mercury. Now they have cheap Fords and elite Lincolns with nothing in between.
I would have loved to see Mercury turn into ford’s performance brand
The Jeep CJ series were much reliable with the AMC engines...
But dmc deloren motor company did came back as a electric car brand in 2020s😊.
The 1945 Henway. What’s a Henway? About 3 pounds 😊😅
The Saturn Sky and Ion sold "massively"??? What???
Packard DID MERGE with Studebaker in 1954.
I did own 2 Geo Metros until I was blown off the road by a passing 18 wheeler. BTW Land Rover is still a brand.
Imagine 6 adults and 3 children in a Morris Minor
BTDT as one of the kids in the "trunk" a
Back in the day cars had class and personality. What happened?
Saturns were unique until they weren’t.
AMC just became Toyota

When GM went bankrupt in 2009, they got rid of all their car brands - Pontiac, Saab & Saturn. They had killed Oldsmobile in 2001
