How to Get Highlight Mouse Pointer on Windows PC

If you ever share your screen or record your screen on your PC, a mouse pointer or mouse highlighter is essential.
There are two ways to do this.
The first option is built into windows. Simply search mouse settings and open the window here.
You have some settings here for changing the mouse size and colors.
Under additional mouse settings, you can also change the way the mouse displays on your screen.
The second option is using a mouse highlighter from Microsoft that you can download here.

The mouse highlighter app gives you a lot of control. You can change the size and opacity of your mouse highlighter. You can also set a pointer in your mouse for showing clicks on the screen with a different color or disable this function altogether.
As long as the mouse pointer app is running, it will keep the highlight around your mouse.
If you quit the app, the next time you launch it, it will remember your settings. You can minimize the app and still keep the highlighter around your mouse as long as you like.

Thanks for the video. The click highlight feature was exactly what I was looking for.
Downloaded the program, and it works as described.
But a clarification for others, the text description under the video which says "a mouse highlighter from Microsoft " is a bit misleading, while the program is downloadable from the Microsoft store, the program is a from a third-party, not Microsoft.
BTW, a small LOL [which might be a caution flag for some]: the publisher is identified on the Microsoft Store as "Catmip5" [spelled with an 'm'] Media, but the title bar in the actual program once downloaded identifies as 'catnip5' [with an 'n'].

I'm looking for a highlighter I seen many years ago, when you click a button lets say your left mouse button the mouse pointer temporally activates the highlighter. not have it stay on and in the way.
