DEI is why Kamala Harris is the VP
And a married Black woman Justice who does not know a woman is and used to give light sentence for rapists who were black.
Unqualified people admitted to positions they are not competent to fill, yup, Kamala as VP is 100% DEI.
True, true, Ok I'll give you that! LoL still can't explain that train wreck Biden
@@KaiCo-oi3fh you can thank PSYOPS by google for Biden being president.. i should know, I voted for hiim after being brainwashed
True
DEI taught people that victimhood was a virtue, and told those victims to segregate themselves into hate-filled echo chambers.
And now sending the money to enable the police state
@@WeAreItt Bro your comment would be popular to pre 2020 hill, the hill is back to right wing BS which is so lazy and easy to eat up.
Jessica dropping the "I went to Brown" again.
Lol, I was thinking the same thing. At least she's not as bad as Bri: who brags her Harvard indoctrination nearly every segment.
Amber dropping the "I went to Georgetown" again.
@@lapc6087nice cope
@lapc: lol! 😄
They all went to great schools stop hating.
DEI promotes segregation and discrimination. as an NC citizen and taxpayer, it is great to see the state rise above this bigotry
Maybe spend the money on educating student instead? No?
Why does it seem federally funded public schools seem to perform worse then other school choices
DEI is racism. If that's not the brontosaurys in the Starbucks cup, nothing is.
Really
If you tell democrats they cant segregate americans by race, they will be furious.
Good talent does not like going to schools where kids are unruly and the neighborhood is dangerous.
The level of ignorance and privilege on display in equating “black” with “poor” is staggering. 2:50
Diversity is a waste. The best candidates should be rewarded
Hold on- Did Jessica seriously say that the value of DEI programs is bringing "students together who... felt like the culture on campus didn't really reflect the culture they were used to growing up"?!?! I thought that was the entire point of "going away" to college- to have experiences and meet people that are totally different from what you grew up with your whole life! But now that's a bad, or even a "racist" thing??
How is cutting the dei program keeping minorities from going to higher education? Earn it or u don't get it. From president of the universities to the superintendent of the grade schools. Hold people accountable.
We do not need d e I programs in universities. What we need is to change the funding model of our public schools.
If you admit people to college because they meet DEI criteria but don't have the skills to succeed at the institution, you do them no favors. If you then lower the standards of the institution so they can still get a degree, you stab other graduates in the back by making their degrees meaningless.
Affirmative action was outlawed last year so you'll have to find something new to to blame on Black people.
Focus and Personal accomplishments are much more helpful in life than victimhood
Jessica trots out the “disparate funding” line. Money is not the answer. If it were our urban schools would not be failing so miserably.
When she says "existing segregation in the U.S.", is she referring to all the places and clubs and organizations that white people aren't allowed in???
Naw, the remnants of redlining neighborhoods in the north caused a weird firm of natural segregation after a while.
Common sense returns 😂.
Sending money to the police is not common sense
You have not been on campuses anytime lately. There are huge numbers of minorities on campuses today, & women outnumber men on campuses for over a decade now.
DEI is poison.
When it comes to Black people you cannot discuss class race orGender separately. Black identity is Based on these criteria's. Twig nor one while discussing the other leaves you vulnerable for The more liberal or the more conservative to water down what it is we truly need and want
Jessica didn't even address the college issues, focusing entirely on K-12. 🙄
Jessica pontificating from the comfort of her home like a true liberal
DEI is ridiculous
Politics is all about momentum and DEI has lost it. The pendulum is swinging to the right
Which makes sense the right enables the police state
@@WeAreItt Coming from the left who want to criminalize speech and largely wanted to make going outside, not wearing a mask, or not taking a shot illegal during Covid? That’s rich
Cut the cost of school. That's how you diversify, bring up the bottom, and enrich all of society. Having a more fruitful, lawful society is good.
New York schools are some of the most expensive and black kids don't know what a computer is. 😂
UNC is slightly left of Stalin
So is almost every other college.
How is the diversity at HBCUs?
About 20% white
I went to an HBCU and it is pretty diverse. But you wouldn't know that because research requires reading and you haven't learned your cipherin' yet.
@@sergregor807 you’re right I didn’t attend one . I was merely asking a question . You are my research . Thank you .
@@michaelsmith6404
Which makes it diverse
Glad we could clear this up
There is no segregation in the USA. Segregation is not when people choose to be apart; it is when they are forces.
Disparity in education is due to the tax revenue, which is adult behavior; people who love their children do not commit crimes.
The only thing holding people back is themselves.
Unions are holding kids back. Saw this up close & personal.
Good it's about time they focus on safety and not someone's feelings
About time.
Well done UNC. Don't spend money on useless stuff, spend it on safety and security
The topic of public elementary and high schools and vouchers has nothing to do with DEI.
School vouchers don't work if you're trying to fix schools for all students. The dollar per student ratio may seem confusing, but when it's pooled together, that's what creates the infrastructure for a public school. Pulling some kids out for private schools succeeds in doing what a lot of the bipartisan "education reform" movement wants to do: It wants to undermine public schools by starving them of funding until they can be privatized.
And race-centric policies aren't necessarily the best way to address disparities in education, either. What we really need is a robust class-based project to improve the options for low-income families, including housing vouchers for middle class neighborhood, economic de-segregation in public schools, and class-based affirmative action programs for higher learning. This will benefit poor and working class students of all racial and regional backgrounds. I went to a majority white high school that was desperately underfunded in rural Appalachia. Race and wealth aren't the same thing, and we can achieve greater racial diversity and class diversity by focusing on economic assistance.
Wait but they didn't update us about the fate of the helpless frat boys?!? 😅😅😅
For profit schools are about as effective as for profit healthcare, or for profit utilities. If your highest goal is profit, everyone suffers.
That's the core of the problem. We can't fix things that are comodefied unless they are fully socialized to be efficient.
Not remotely true
This comment ignores the fact that profit only comes from providing a service to people. Nonprofit education is why we have HS kids with elementary grade reading levels, their highest goal should be education no? So why do they have these problems?
The owners benefit
Lincoln was wrong
And a dictator
Great theory, who is developing the implementation to address the problem? Just seems like anti everything with no solution.
These are the frat boys who got on camera and literalyl said "I'm a dual citizen in Israel and I'm here exclusively for the Israel flag."
Yep
So an abusive riot flying the Palestinian flag escapes your notice, but a few Israeli flags in a peaceful counter-protest outrages you? Your Anti-Semitism is showing.
The Great State of Florida offers funds to students to attend private schools
Low income students should receive a funding investment account for funds to be distributed for attendance & academic & extracurricular community service activities.
Every teacher should be paid as much as an NFL quarterback and then they would not need a pension and their classroom would be dope because teachers by nature are givers to children
LOL
I think you guys are also confusing with UNC with UNC systems.
Jessica is flying her woke flag high today! 😄
I wonder if she’s ever been poor
When corporations decided to make money off schools by pushing for testing with standardized tests students didnt benefit. The language the test questions are written in is not understandable and clear. Teachers had to start teaching for the tests rather than using their knowledge, skills and creativity to reach every child at the level each child was at. That type of testing is expensive. Teachers are not paid equitably for their time and education and doesnt go up with the continuing education they are required to have. The schools are over crowded and underfunded. The classes are often too big. Who wver in the government who analyzes why "schools are failing" needs to go teach in schools in many different places and see for themselves.
School choice is a nightmare insofar as transit.. but only money can fix it! Since parents now want to drop and pick up kids.
School bus?! Noooo
I really do not know how people are able to do this in working hours.
Your school is bad?
Work with the school.
Work with the city for grants.
Fix your school, not school choice.
Also, your kids can get from point A to point B.
If diversity is our strength why does it need to be funded 🤔
Seriously, can I borrow this from you?
The title of this video is like a joke
DEI is not about race. Does anyone not understand that? Ideally, it is about including everyone!
😂😂😂 no its just liberal racism
@@thedelapo1606 If so, it should not be. It should be about including all people that need help with inclusion. SHould not be racist one way or another. That is only one form of diversity and only one group that needs help being included in society.
Meritocracy is a better system.
@@williamgordon Does not work that way. For example, as a person with a disability, I have work twice as hard to get promotions, get opportunities than everyone else despite my qualifications and performance. Ideally merit would work but until then, DEI and other measures to help with inclusion are needed.
@tonyg76 When its detractors speak of DEI, they really mean to say the N-word, so don't worry your disability rights will be preserved.
I could listen to you two all day. Informative ASMR.
Grest analysis, Jessica.
Hahahah she is a joke
Yeah, if it wasn't for DEI, these black college students totally wouldn't be able to find each other and form bonds.
🙄🙄🙄
"... but as expected, Conservatives celebrated UNC's decision." Sums up why I left the Right pretty concisely.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂
Again Amerikkka will always lead money to the police state
Of course they would give it to the cops
